The movie theater is attractive and has been remodeled. Plush reclining seats. The reason for my low rating is that I received gift certificates as a present. When I use them at the theater, they surcharged me an additional $1.50. They said it was to pay for the remodeling. This is really very poor public relations. They should honor the certificate as a matter of goodwill. The $1.50 will not break me, just a matter of principle. I have 5 other movie theaters within a few miles of my house and will patronize them in the future.

We love the Janss Theater renovation ! Awesome reclining chairs ! Great Concession Stands ! Assisted Hearing is Great. Asked for the Tuesday Special, the Attendant said they no longer had it and we should try another Regal. Disappointed . Really great Seniors Day. He wasnt sure if there was something on Thursdays at the Janss Regal though. Checked the Regal Website. Only Simi Regal has a discount. When will the Janss Regal ? Website update, Thanks

Since the upgrade the place has become my go to for theaters. The seats are leather and recline with personal trays. So comfy! I could sleep there if the sound wasnt blasting, which isnt a bad thing because while not imax, they are good sized and great sound. They also serve beer. But the best part is how cheap the tickets are. They blow the local competition out of the water. $7-9 twilight starwars in 3D.heck yes!

Electronic, super-comfy reclining seats. Plenty of room in the seat and enough room to almost lie flat. Every Time I have been here the cinema has been clean (including the bathrooms) and the the staff have been pleasant and helpful. The early-bird pricing is phenomenal. The only reason to choose any other cinema is that I sometimes want to see a film in IMAX but that is the only reason to go anywhere else.

Bought three rated R tickes an hour in advance 2 of us had IDs showing our age while the other girl had just a school ID. At the gate they wouldnt let us in because the one girl (in our grade) only had a student ID... We received no apology for wasting our time at this cinema and were treated by a stale manager. We were sold tickets and then wernt let in, our whole day wasted at this movie theater.

So after the revamp I decided to come check it out. 10 bucks for normal seats 15 for 3d IMAX. Super super comfy reclining seats and a bar with tons of beers on tap about 6 bucks a piece. The audio of the movies sounds great, but my only complaint would be the screens are a little smaller than muvico. The price more than makes up for it however.

I LOVE the remodel! If you go to the bar, bring an ID no matter how old you are. Im so far beyond 21 that I actually have a child whos that age, yet they wouldnt serve me because I didnt have my ID on me. Im not complaining- rules are rules- but be prepared if youd like an adult beverage before going to your movie.

Wow. This theater blew my mind. I cannot believe how clean, relaxing, and comfortable it was. Also the ticket prices are extremely competitive. The food looks like it was fresh made and staff is very friendly. The movie chairs were huge leather chairs with electric recline. Amazing!

Great little movie theater with incredibly comfortable chairs in a relatively intimate setting. Had a great time here. You can also book particular seats when you buy tickets so you can make sure you sit exactly where you want.

The seats are soft and comfortable, and have leg-rests. They have the latest movies. They have completely transformed the place from what it was two years ago. I love this place now and see movies here all the time.

Best theater in Ventura County! I have a Crown Club card and I always receive free stuff! If you dont have a card do yourself a favor and get one. I am not an employee trying to get business, I just love this place

This theater has been updated and now has reclining seats. Much better than it used to be. Lobby can get crowded though - inside ticket booth and snack bar are too close to the doors.
