Since my first review (5/28/12), I have been back 4 more times! I absolutely love this place. I still wont give it 5 stars because there really are better places, just nowhere close. They have since upgraded their trailer to a full-fledged cabin; which makes it much more professional looking. When you finish the course you always receive a completion certificate which you can bring back, on your next trip, to get a free t-shirt. All times but the last I got to pick whichever t-shirt I wanted ... they have since designated a free shirt as they were loosing money giving away the pricey-er ones. They have not changed the adult course at all, but I still have a blast. They were working on finishing the kids course, on my last visit. It looks like its going to be awesome for the little ones. Still definitely recommend coming out here! Its perfect by yourself, with a friend/partner or a group. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Want a different pace in your life? Book a time for an adventure with Go Ape ... it was a wonderful change of pace and some great freeing obstacles. They have a lot of balancing and climbing obstacles, the tarzan swing was one of my favorite other than the zip-lining. The instructors are very knowledgeable, personable, funny and makes the adventure that much better. They make sure you know what to do during the course and then they let you fly. Made some friends on this trip and Im not surprised one bit. Im going back in a couple weeks for some more!

Horrible, horrible park. Never again will I ever go to a go ape again. Courses are short and easy. Instructors are bad and dont tell you much but they "train you for an hour" when many other parks train you for 5-10 minutes and you get much more information out of it. Sure its amazing if you dont have anything to compare it to. I would suggest going to the adventure park at the Virginia aquarium. Much more freedom, many more courses and the courses are much longer and better

I absolutely loved this place. I havent done zip lining or obstacle courses before, so I dont have anything to compare it to, but I had a blast. It was challenging enough to make you feel like you earned something, but still doable. Each of the five sets of obstacles ends with a zip line, and they have branching options of difficulty to keep you interested. It seemed very safe and well maintained. I will be looking for more places like like this when I am on vacation.

I got to go on the adults course and then the Jr course with my kids. Both were extremely fun and the staff was great with alot of patience dealing with my fear of heights. But there is also the Junior Treetop Course and my 5yr old and 8yr old were able to complete and had a blast! We actually just finished the #Halloweenadventures at night that they started this year. So glad we found this place! Make sure to check out my blog or Youtube Channel for the videos!

If youre careful, this is a great place. The problem is, unlike Adventure Park by the Aquarium, you can easily make the mistake of detaching yourself from the course. I wouldnt recommend taking young children here as they may get confused and detach. Adventure Park by the Virginia Aquarium is a better fit because you can never be detached up in the trees. The zip lines at Go Ape are really fun.

My entire family had so much fun here and I really enjoyed myself as well, I felt like a kid again. My little girl was terrified and crying on the junior obstacle course and the staff were reassuring her that she could do it. Because of them, she was able to complete the course and zipline down! You must visit go ape if youre in the Williamsburg area and in need of some adventure.

Went with my 8-year old girl and she had a blast! Ran around doing the 2 courses as much as she could (we were given a 1.5 hour time slot). I couldnt keep up, gave up after 2 round of each course. It was a pretty warm day and we were drenched in sweat, but they do provide water. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, really good with the kids. Definitely recommend it!

This was the first time I had done something like this. The zip-lining sections were the most enjoyable parts. The course had a few points where you had to stand around and wait on the ground before climbing back up which could be quite tedious if you or your family lacks patience. Of course, once you were back up in the trees, you quickly forgot about that.

FUN AND EXCITING! I took my two kids (age 11 and 12) and its a great exciting adventure. Just remember: Safety first and always stay connected to the red line. Its a bad fall if you error! Count on 3 hours excursion. Each station have water and you want to stay hydrated. I brought a camelpak but you dont really need one. Highly recommended!

They dont allow 15yr olds to go to the higher courses without a parent... thats stupid! I have done double black courses in VA beach which I highly reccomend over go ape because as long as you are physically able you are allowed to participate in actual courses that go over 7 feet off of the ground. Not worth my time to even come to go ape.

We had a member of our party that found out they had a fear of heights once they got to the top of the first obstacle. The employees of the Go Ape were extremely professional: there was no judgement placed on the individual and they refunded the trip. What excellent customer service! I cant wait to get back, so I can go on the course!

Go Ape! Was absolutely thrilling. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences I have had. Hope to come back soon. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even though I felt as though I was going fast, the course took me about two hours to complete. It will challenge your body, but thats just part of the fun!! Check it out!

These people dont know what they are doing, half the time they are goofing around and playing with equipment in a way they shouldnt. Its also way over priced for the experience. They will tell you it will take up to 3 hours but the only time it takes that long is if you are waiting for other people in front of you.

This was my first time and the experience was amazing! The instructors are on point and super patient. The obstacles were challenging but I think thats what makes it fun. You are working your way to the zip line as the finale, and boy is it FUN! Really puts you to work. I am definately going back again!

Id give it 15 stars if I could. Amazing experience! Most fun ever! Definitely will be doing this again! (BTW, theres no upper age limit, so go for it. Im a 5-foot-tall, 70-year-old woman. When you come to the most extreme crossings, theres always an alternative moderate or easy bypass.)

This park doesnt allow any freedom and the courses and way to short. I travel around doing these all the time but so far this is the worst out of them all. The only thing I liked when I went here was the look on the guys face when he asked how is it was so far and I replied horrible
