I recently watched a movie there and had a terrible experience. Not a great place to take your date. The people that go there are usually very rude teenagers who talk during the movie, text the entire time and throw things in the theater. The customer service is just as bad if not worse. On this occasion these people would not be quiet and they were throwing pieces of paper and popcorn around. I complained to one of the ushers about this and they said they were going to take care of the problem right away, so I returned to watch the movie, the people continued to be rude and the usher never returned to fix the problem. My date and I decided to leave and get a refund, the manager said I cannot give you any kind of refund or tickets for another show because you have already seen half hour of the movie, I said the movie is two and a half hours I have not even seen half of it. The manager was a jerk about it the whole time I was explaining the problem to him. I recommend you never go there because you will just waste your money and you wont be happy about it. Horrible customer service.

This theatre is okay. If you are looking for an AMC or Arclight experience you will not find it here. With that being said, the theatre does have its perks. For one, you are paying for what you get. A good pro about this place is that on Tuesdays and Thursdays ticket prices are 5 dollars. Thats definitely not bad considering that relatively new movies are the ones being shown. Another thing i should note about this place is that yes the theaters are small so if you want to get good seats, Get. There. Early. As for the concession stands, the people there were nice in my experience and helpful. The bathrooms were not so great since they are small but whatever. Oh and one more thing, The theatre says you cant bring in food or snacks of course but youll find it pretty easy sneaking in a bag of chips or even In N Out. That being said, its an Okay Theatre.

I went to see a movie last week and immediately after purchasing my ticket realized I had somewhere I needed to be. I asked for a refund on my card, and after a few minutes and assistance from a manager, was told they would just give me my refund in cash if that was okay - I said that was no problem. Then was given a receipt and when I asked about it the young gentleman told me my card was just credited back. It has now been one week and there has been no credit on my card as of yet. I called to try and speak with someone about this and there is no option to speak with anyone on the number listed. Its only 5 bucks as it was on Tuesday, but I want my 5 dollars back! To any management - I am happy to remove this review once this issue is resolved.

The staff was really friendly here and everyone had a smiile at least that day. The tickets are also way cheaper than most theaters. The theater is a little old so they dont have the greatest tech in there. The seats could be a little more comfortable but again this is an older theater. The great thing about this is that you can take any food inside the theater from business next door. If youre looking for a real 3d or Imax experience then this is not the place for you. If you want low prices, friendly staff and a few other perks, then this is the place for you if you are in Whittier.

Its always a cool environment. The staff are courteous. They do have an arcade. They also play all kinds of movies like the Dragon Ball Z movies & others that are similar to it. During the summer they have a free movie every week. Their popcorn is delicious; they have all kinds of seasonings for your pleasure. On Tuesdays & Thursdays they charge $5 all day. If you go before 12 its the same price. If youre a student they charge $6. They also have a rewards program in which they give you free popcorn, soda and movie tickets each time you watch a movie.

Starlight Whittier Village Cinemas has a look like its from the 1940s but has stadium and advanced seating. They have a reward program where you earn points for everything you buy and get free stuff from the concession stand. Just for signing up you get a complimentary popcorn. They have an arcade room and photo machine for $1. Before 12pm the tickets are $6 and before 6pm are $8. Bargain Tuesdays and Thursdays the tickets are $6 all day. Plus seniors get in for $5. This theater is always clean and the workers are very nice and helpful.

Great Movie theater went with a big group to see the Dragon Ball z movie was awesome I like the vintage look of the movie theater I didnt see roaches inside the theater nor inside of the rest room but I mean there are a lot of roaches outside thats the reason why Id guess people see roaches but awesome vintage look around the area with a dinner near by big screen great sound quality only $10 for the movie had fun was great!

I use to come here a lot when I was younger and it was a lot worse (the theaters smelled like pee and the screens were dirty). It was cheap, though, so I didnt care much. Nowadays, the employees are unhelpful and this place is just a death trap on a Friday night. Theres no signs as to what line leads to where and no one to ask for help. Not worth it if you actually want a good seat/enjoy the movie you paid for.

I totally forgot about this place and rediscovered it. Warning its not one of those huge, lounge around with bark-a-lounge chairs. Just a small theater with the newest movies at adorable prices compare to the $12-$15 theatres. Large drink and small popcorn are still pricey like any movie theater, $12 (as of Aug 2017). Just like the larger chains you do get refills on a large soda and popcorn. Very local vibe.

I had the same experience as another viewer I was in there 3. weeks ago using the bathroom and there was roaches crawling on the bathroom floor. I only like this theater because its inexpensive but I can do without the cockroaches. Today when I went and my oldest daughter saw the roaches I let customer service know and the guy acted like he did not care when I told him he kind of laughed about it.

Its nice to have a movie theater close to home. It has plenty of screens for 3D or HD, its kept clean, and they have a few combos for popcorn, soda, etc., which are pretty good and the seats are very comfortable. Overall this theater is great location, comfortable seats, snacks and customer service is great. Starlight Whittier Village Cinema is highly recommended ;-)

They play the best movies, honestly probably my favorite movie theater. The prices are great and the theater is nice. I love coming here. Only downside, tickets for certain showings sell out sooo quickly, I tried to get some for the Dario Argento marathon, 2 minutes after they went on sale, and they were completely sold out! But overall, great place to go.
