Wow! You managed to destroy a wonderful theater. ...Assigned seating WTF!!!! So you remove over half the seats.....and install seats that will be broken down in a year Why??? ........So now you have to sit next to a stranger who is talking or chomping candy and slerping soda oh and HACKING UP A LUNG!!! (yeah good thinking)......... The seating was fine you used to be able to sit and get in to a movie without having to sit and rub elbows with a stranger!! Im done with this theater ......... Thank God for Netflix ...... OH Yeah video games suck! So good thing you took ALL the Video games out . ....... Geez this Theater will be a Massage parlor in a year .

Nice clean theater and a great anchor for Venturas downtown! Inexpensive matinees. The external neon is just on the awesome side of tacky, and the nearby resturants, bars, and cafes make it a great destination if youre from out-of-town. Sound, insulation, lighting, and picture are good. Stadium seating and/or a dedicated "arthouse/limited release" screen would make it an unqualified 5-star.

It is an old school theater getting some nice renovations in downtown Ventura. All seats are reserved luxury lounger style seats so they are super comfy. I love the lights on the outside of the theater at night, good old neons. Only one side. The left side of the concessions is open and you buy your tickets outside at the ticket office. Love it.

Awesome! !! We came here on a Monday and they had a special. Cant remember the fee per person, but it was a great deal! The seats are incredibly comfortable. Way better than the Archlight. Sound system provides a detailed breakdown of all the sounds possible. Come on a weekday so you can have any seat to your liking.

I didnt like this theater much whenever I went - often the theater rooms had a stench about them, and the parking structures meant either hurried panic parallel parking (no thanks) or a long trek down and back uphill to the lots behind it. Nonetheless, it was good for movie viewing besides those factors.

i love that this great, old nostalgic theater is right in the heart of downtown, walking distance to dinners, drinks, a walk to the beach or a hike up the hill... And the selection of movies is fantastically diverse-- blockbusters, indies, and documentaries when Ventura Film Society shows there!

Renovating theaters, recling seats with lots of leg room yields fewer seat, considering the decline in movie goers this is a desperate attempt to keep the ones that still go out coming. Upgtading sound too if the giant JBL boxes in the ailse can be trusted.

Wowwwee this theater really gives the collection a run for its money with its new renovations and recliner seating. Along with the deals for Tuesday showtimes this is my new go to theater preference. A much appreciated improvement over how it used to feel.

Recently got extraordinarily comfortable seats that recline; the downside is that its important to get tickets early as they are reserved and if you show up a few minutes before the show you may be stuck right up against the screen. OK snack bar.

New seats that recline with plenty of space on armrest for both you and the person next to you. Assigned seats are great, no more worrying about finding a place. Clean. Well priced tickets but expensive snacks, but thats to be expected.

The new seats are comfortable, and now there is plenty of leg room, no need to get up if someone needs to get past you. The chairs recline, I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep, I need a chair like these in my living room.

Theaters have recliners and reserved seating. All shows on Tuesdays are only $6. Some of the theaters are quite small, but they tend to show smaller indie or foreign films that can be hard to find in Ventura County theaters.

The screen has a weird design to it and its not a flat screen , the rooms are small and I cant even hug my girlfriend due to the arm rest its so inconvenient .
