I like to go to the matinees. Its less crowded, and there are always short lines and more people to help you at the popcorn counter too. So you dont have to arrive an hour before your movie, like you do during peak showtimes. And remember customer service? I wish the manager took more care to teach their teen employees some manners, and how to comport themselves. After all its their first job, and learning to be polite and helpful to the local patrons will only serve them in business throughout their lives. When I had my first part-time job in high school, they told us, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean", but being warm, polite and helpful to the customers was paramount. Having to interrupt some rude, gossipy teens who seem to be intentionally ignoring my order and my interest in getting to my seat before my movie starts - just makes me want to slap the Hell out of them. LOL Ironically, Ive had to do some racial profiling of my own at this theater - cuz its the white kids who have the worst manners. White the other kids always are always quick to help, have impeccable manners and welcome me to their theater like diplomats. I really appreciate that, after all, Ive come to theater to my local theater to enjoy myself - not to feel disrespected and irritated. More than a few times, I mumbled to myself, "Next time, stay home and rent the DVD - itd be better than this".

The theater itself is average. The walkway to get to the movies can be disconcerting and confusing, especially if searching for the restroom in the middle of a movie. What bothers me the most is the attitude of the people who work there. I was called "JUST a dependent" when we inquired about a military discount that my spouse and I have always received (next time, Ill take my DD-214 in and ask what that "JUST" makes me, too). To be told the military discount was only for active duty service members is one thing, but to be told by someone working there that Im "JUST a dependent" is something quite different. Their matinee prices are $8. Movie Tavern, which offers a better variety of food and drinks and more comfortable seating, offers $6 matinees (and a military discount for active duty and retired military and their dependents). For want of 2 dollars, Regal Newtown has lost our business forever.

Totally average as far as a general movie theater. But... "Regal Cinemas has a policy prohibiting children under 6 from even entering a rated R movie regardless of who they are with." (In this case their parents) I was informed by a manager that its the company policy and theres nothing she could do. Im not the kind of person who would keep a crying child in the theater. One peep and Im walking out. We only go late so the baby falls asleep right away anyway. Between this ridiculous policy, the managers unwillingness to bother doing anything to help us, and the box office attendants douchey demeanor We will not be back.

BAD experience on the food side of things. Our family went for a weekend movie night, has abut 15 minutes until start of film and spent over 30 minutes waiting for food! My daughter and I went in to see the film as it had started, hubby came in 10 minutes later, still w/no hot dog. Finally manager appeared in theater and gave him is hot dog + free movie ticket. Other guests in front of us in line waiting for hot food too. NOT Impressed. Should have ample + trained staff for a weekend night to plunk hot dogs onto the roller! Not too eager to use the free tix, even if its a film we want to see.

PEOPLE CANNOT SAVE SEATS AT SOLD OUT SHOWS- YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR SPECIFIC SEATS AS IF YOU ARE AT A CONCERT I found out today from the management that people cannot save seats. We had terrible seats last night for Les Mis because people were saving seats and were not supposed to. I was told by management if this happens again to tell an employee and they will take care of the problem. I am posting this so it does not happen to other unsuspecting moviegoers! Other than this problem, everything else about the theater is good.

This is my go to theater since its nearby. Its nice and clean. Compared to the Regal theater in Newport News though, its really pricey! They only do a military discount if you are the military member, not dependents but Regal Newport News will do the discount for dependents. The tickets in NN are almost $5 cheaper so if its a group of us, sometimes Ill just drive out there and make a day of it. Ill still come to Regal New Town if I dont feel like driving though, nice but expensive.

Regal Cinemas New Town Stadium is a clean theatre with the usual fair. They have started searching bags and purses after the Colorado theatre shooting. The following admittance procedure is posted on Regals corporate website; however, I was told it was to prevent outside food and recording devices. "To ensure the safety of our guests and employees, Regal Entertainment Group reserves the right to inspect the contents of any backpack, package, or bag prior to admission."

It is what is surrounding this place that makes it a worthy visit. My family usually will have dinner and catch a flick. The theater alone is clean, usually showing the latest movies, but the buildings interior is bland and boring. Some may say I am being picky but I feel like a theater should have a grand entry way. This one is average. That said the staff is nice and keeps the place clean.

We usually go on Tuesday because the movies are only $5.30 and the popcorn is also discounted. You need to have a regal card. Staff and owners are always friendly and the theater is clean. My wife and I can go to a movie for around $20.00 with popcorn and drinks. Tuesdays are a GREAT deal and we will continue to go. SEE YOU TUESDAY.

Went here on a whim while vacationing for the weekend and--as an out-of-towner--I will not go back. This theater is in desperate need of a remodel. Seats are old & uncomfortable. Concessions are way over-priced and, although they offer free drink refills with the purchase of a large drink, the cup doesnt fit in the drink holder!

This theatre is pretty amazing. The ticket prices are decent and there are a lot of different snack options ranging from popcorn and candy, to hot dogs and nachos. Whenever we visit the Williamsburg area, we see a movie at this theatre as our local theatre is severely lacking. Last visit: December, 2016

Well kept and exceptionally high quality theater. Everything is very clean and seats are comfortable. Food and drink prices are as you would expect, but refills are free on large items. Picture quality is good and audio quality is extremely good. Wheelchair access is present throughout the theater.

Very nice and clean theater. The manager was helpful and polite. The rest of the staff was good, if a bit perfunctory. The 3D screens were awesome and had surround sound. Overall an excellent theater but could be better if they had food combos and better pricing (raisanettes were 3.99!)

Staff is always polite and friendly (especially Joey at the ticket booth). Very clean theatre. They have a policy to check your bag when you enter the theatre.... makes me feel safer knowing they are looking out for my family. Keep up the excellent work.
