I always go to this theater since its so close to my home. Though its true their floors are CONSTANTLY sticky, it can be overlooked. But today I have never been so disgusted with this theater that I will never spend a penny there again. Tuesday I purchased tickets for myself and friends, since I always bring a min of 2 others with me at all times, to see a showing through fandango for the theater. On the way I received news my mother was in the hospital. 2 days later was the first chance I had to call the theater for a refund since I was unable to see the show. A box office associate told me the policy for a money refund is to call the same day but how could I when my mother is in the ER? So I asked for a manager to clarify. This ignorant, non-sympathetic man named Jerry came on the phone. He got on with a attitude to begin with and told me the same thing. THE POLICY I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH. Its the fact that this man said, "If you buy tickets for a major concert and miss the show, they wont refund you. Thats how this business is. Thats how it works. Thats entertainment business. Most people know that." Could he be more condescending? When I told him that was unprofessional to say, his reaction was "well thats how it is". When I mentioned there are exceptions like worrying with my family about my mother in the hospital keeping me from calling the theater his comment was, "Sorry for you thats the policy." He had such attitude and no solutions. The box office attendant at least suggested that they can give me passes instead. But this "manager" who was rude and had the WORST ATTITUDE, showing no people skills and no sense of empathy is the one reason I will never return. Ill be going to Santikos now.

To be honest this is where we have gone for most of our family flicks for the past 3 years. The ticket prices are high for the 3D or the 3D RPX we are usually able to find a deal on atom tickets or through our T-Mobile Tuesdays. We have never really gotten great outstanding service here. And just recently decided to go to the Rialto Theater after we came in to see War of the Planet of the Apes at this Live Oak Theater in 3D and were informed that they could sell us the tickets but the AC was not working and it was 95 degrees in the theater. Um Really!! Then we asked are we able to get a discount on seeing another movie since the one we want to see has no AC. Reply from attendant "nope". We bought tickets to another movie but as we were standing in line for the concessions quickly decided to get a refund and try out the Rialto since we really wanted to see War of the Planet of the Apes. We waited for 10 minutes for the manager to show up to give us a refund . He didnt ask why we wanted a refund and didnt say sorry for any inconvenience. Swipe their card said refund will be on there and turned and walked away . Once we arrived at the rialto and saw our movie we will probably never come back to the live oak Theater. We had amazing customer service from Rialto from start to finish you can read our review of that if you wish. The management here should really train their staff better on customer service, and if you inconvenience a customer when they want to buy your product you should make it up to them if they decide to stay and select the product they didnt even want.

Regal Cinema Live Oak 18 & RPX is a the prime movie theatre in NE San Antonio since 1998; however, across across America theaters continue to raise their game. What once was five stars is now three stars. 1. Tickets - During prime times, ticket purchase lanes are near primitive. Recommend purchasing ahead of time or using Fandango another like app. 2. Food- Quality is on par with like theaters. They dont allow you to bring food or drink in. 3. Seating- Above average. Chairs are full hight and provide complete head, neck, and back support for the average person. Finding your specific chair number may be a bit difficult if youre not on the end but they are typically not too hard to find. 4. Sound- Maybe its me. I must be losing my hearing. I thought movies were so much louder growing up. I remember walking out of some movies jamming to the sound tracks before I even knew what a sound track was. Wheres the ride, wheres the thrill, and wheres the killer music in the movie? Nothing is better than flying through space or a fight scene or that first kiss with just the right music. Maybe the speakers are just getting old? 5. Safety: this theatre does not allow patrons to protect themselves. No Firearms Allowed 30.06 (conceal carry) and Section 30.07 (open carry). Kudos: they like to hire people with disabilities.

Its a very nice theater. If you arrive timely to leave about 5 minutes to make use of the concession stand prior your movie starting, youll experience timely service. And if at home and along the highways, you put your trash in the proper container...why not continue to practice good hygiene and do the same at the movie theater rather than leave it for the experience of having others go the extra mile to clean up behind you. There is absolutely no way ANY theater will remain clean and welcoming when you practice other than clean habits when YOU visit. The youthful staff are working as quickly as possible to ready the theaters for the next patrons by cleaning up spilled food and removing collected trash. If what satisfies you is being able to drop your trash in place after watching a movie...stay home and do it there. What is needed...is for the theater to clean the sticky arms of the chairs that disqustingly sticks to your skin and clothes; or replace the arms with material that can be easily cleaned. In the meantime, where we can, as adults strive to set an example for our youth who have entered the work market in not being selfish and complaining about things that require little to no attention. When visiting the theater, also think on the things that we can be thankful for.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE service by "MANAGER" YVONNE!!!!!!!! My family and I had to leave the movie we were watching, because she claimed people had complained about my daughter crying. I would be the first one to leave ANY place if this had been the case. She embarrassed me in front of the other patrons. She told me I couldnt be in the theatre with my daughter, that I had to wait outside in the hallway!!! This, however, is not the first time we have had an unpleasant experience with YVONNE!! The week before this, we went to see Get Out, she sold us the wrong tickets. When we brought it up to her attention, she said it was our fault for not double checking the tickets!!! SERIOUSLY????!!!! She didnt offer any solution to our problem. The mistake is actually not the issue, its her nasty and condescending attitude. She has no concept of, nor do I believe she cares, customer service. I cannot believe this is the kind of person this establishment slaps a "MANAGER" badge on!!! We will NEVER, EVER GO BACK!! THANKS YVONNE FOR RUINING OUR MOVIE EXPERIENCE!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!
