My son and I are huge movie buffs and certainly see our fair share. Wed recently started going to AMC or other theaters because our local Harkins has gone down hill. The other night, we decided to catch a flick. It was pretty late in the evening, and Harkins Norterra was the only theater with our movie still playing. It was a bit of a drive, but we were both very impressed. We arrived partially into the previews for the last showing, but they were still very nice. We accidentally brought last years Harkins cup, but they honored a $1.50 refill anyway. My son went to get it and commented on how "friendly" they were with him. My son has Aspergers and like all of us, he thrives around people that put him at ease. Much appreciated! Lately, the theaters weve gone to late at night "quit serving concessions" due to being close to closing time. I get very annoyed by this poor customer service. This theater was fantastic on that as well. The theater is pretty new and beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. Well worth the drive! Thanks!

Most employees are excellent however there are some employees who act strange, one young man used his middle finger to ring up some lady as though to flip her off- and he would not give her eye contact then he talked to her as though she was a pest. The manager did nothing about the situation. Christin a manager at the Norterra 14 theater seem to be scared to correct her employees. Though we got treated with respect, we do not care to see some people being treated in such a demeaning manner just because their another race than white. Later as we left the movie we witnessed another bad employee calling a lady a fatzilla, we were in shock and other customers saw and heard the employee who had a neck full of hickies. One tall white male made a remark that if that was his son- hed teach him proper manners. Some people remarked about the bad managers and how that was the reason employees have gotten away with treating some customers with so much hate aimed at minorities.

Its a great theater, far better than AMC, almost on par with Celebration Cinema (small chain in Michigan.) Prices are on par with every other theater in every category, but the quality is much better. During our movie there was a slight issue with the screen, I wandered out and quickly found an employee and by the time I got back to the theater (missing about half of one preview) the issue was corrected. Im mostly writing this review to somewhat correct the false impression of a previous review saying their website doesnt work well, because it does. Overall this is the second best theater Ive been to and it will be my go-to theater in the Phoenix area.

I LOVE HARKINS! To be fair, I really only go to this Harkins so I am not sure about the other locations, but this one has spoiled me. I honestly cannot go to another theatre without thinking about this one. It has set the bar for me. The theatre is very clean for a movie theatre and it seems like they do an excellent job maintaining the theatre as it has held up well over time. We have been watching movies here for several years and have always had a good experience. Do yourself a favor and make sure you buy your movie cups and free popcorn shirts if you go to the movies a lot, they are easily worth the money you pay for them!

This is our go to theater since moving to Arizona. The employees are always smiling, very helpful, friendly and over all genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. The theater itself is well maintained, i.e., always clean. The consession stand drinks & snacks are reasonably priced in comparison to other theaters. Their popcorn is great, their soda machines are kept correctly calibrated so the sodas taste great, they are not watered-down as you tend to find in some other theaters. Going to a movie at this theater is always an overall top notch experience!

Dont try and use Free Movie passes here. Even if you call ahead and ask if the passes are okay to use on certain movies and they say yes, when u get there they say no. Spent way to much money at this. The people who u buy tickets from act like they are the owners so they dont let you use free movie passes. Worthless employees. If you ask to speak to a manager, they say they are the manager. But nothing can never be done. Taking this to another level with the company. Just leaving my review here.

The play-center here is a God-send for parents. My husband and I will go out of our way to come here for this feature alone - weve been able to enjoy many films together wed otherwise have to get a sitter for. And the kids LOVE it - one time my daughter was upset we were taking her to the actual movies rather than leaving her at the play-center. More theaters should follow suit - thank you Harkins for this!

Great theater, lots of kids on busy night but that is to be expected. Lots of weird and loud people during matanee shows which isnt Harkins fault. Last movie I went to here my date and I were the only ones I the theater until an elderly couple came and sat in the seat next to me. They then proceeded to talk through the whole movie. I felt like I was on some sort of prank show.

Watched Captain America with family. Although we went for Saturday late show (starting at 10), we still got the best service and the hottest freshest pop-corns. I was amazed when the concession stall server politely asked me whether I would like to wait for popcorn refill while he makes another batch. I was like WOW ! 5 Star Service and nice clean theater.

This theatre offers childcare. Harkins Theatres PlayCenter provides supervision for children ages 3 through 8 years old so that the adults can enjoy a movie while the kids play. Reservations for the PlayCenter are encouraged. The theatre accommodations were overall acceptable. I would recommend Harkins Theatres Norterra 14.

When it first opened this location was the bees knees. No one went here and they were an upgrade from the other local theatres. They now are pretty busy, but, they still have comfy seats, great video and tons of showtimes. I recommend the yearly collectors cups and t-shirts for dollar refills and free popcorn all year.

Stand by you if you have kids THE WHOLE MOVIE. Feels like youre being harassed so when you decide leave and let them know they ruined your night, they respond with, "No problem, anytime." And then deny it to their "manager." There were 3 guys at guest services all with the title of "manager" under their name tag.

The place is not bad, like average movie theater, but food and drinks extremely expensive, for same prices you can eat at nice restaurants. Just one large fountain drink cost about 7$ plus refill 1.5$, I have spended just for drinks 30$)))), it was 3 of us.CRAZY . Im not going to that theater any more))))

I have been to almost every local Harkins and theyve been first-rate. This one was no exception, the layout was familiar and food options terrific. Ive met Dan Harkins a few times over the years, very nice guy and keeps things running smooth. I cant even remember the last time I went to an AMC theatre, haha.
