The theatre its self is great. However going in the late evening or on weekend afternoons is not recomended. The bald steroidal meat head of a security guard is rude in the utmost. Extremely confrontational violates personal space to the point u can smell his dirty breath. If you either go to bathroom n forget your ticket stub you may be accused of sneaking in. Also if you find your self wanting a smoke mid movie during a 2.5 hr movie dont do it. I had lost my ticket stub. I told the very nice elderly african american man I was going to step out side but had lost my stub. Upon entering even tho the elderly man recognized me the security guard refused to let me in. I had to leave my wife and son in Movie for another hour while I sat outside in heat. To top it off after a arguement where I did not yell or call names the man actually came outside to yell at me for smoking to close to the 20ft barrier. Whilst complaining of me walking away he made shure to fan his nose in a very dramatic fashion as to make his dislike of my smoking well known. Four out of five times Ive been to this theatre whole he Is working I have had somekind of incident with this thug. I have since switched theatres to the harkins just north of 101. On I-17. Much nicer seating no petty , offensive troglodyte goon. Also they have fantastic popcorn flavoring powders. Good bye AMC.

I must say 3 stars and the biggest reason is? For spontanious folks who just want to grab a film while they are out. AMC online sales pretty much mess this up for you. I cant tell you how many times Ive went only to hear they are sold out and to find out the theater is less than a quarter full. Also it basically shows that some peole simply have to much money and further you got to wonder if some rich screwballs are simply buying up the seats to screw with people. AMC makes their money but this is costing them business. Assigned seating is also a problem for similar reason and another even commented of their experience with theater disruptions dealing with that. The AMC18 could open up more of their theater which could help this situation but is not likely going to fix it 100 percent. The recliners are also nice but there is a point where a persons size might matter there. Im a big guy at 6.5 and often hit the button with my not so thundering thighs as im just sitting there. Imagine relaxing and you move slighly and go up, then again and move down lol. Anyways Im told Harkins also keep the money in state. Although that doesnt make them an exclusive choice. Coupling it with these other items further moves them to a first choice scenario. Call me old fashion

Not the best experience. First, there were no lights in the IMAX theater where our movie was scheduled to play. We used the flashlight feature on our cell phones to manuvour to our assigned seats where we sat in complete darkness thinking the lights would be on shortly. At 1:00 pm, my husband manuvoured, with his cell phone, out of the theater to advise an available employee that there were no lights on in our theater. On his way back, he helped guide elderly folks to their seats with the help of his cell phone. Shortly thereafter, we have lights. The movie was scheduled to start at 1:10 pm. So, at approximately 1:10 pm, the previews begin. The lights dim and there is great sound but we have no picture. Once again, my husband had to leave to advise an available employee that we now have lights and sound but no picture. By 1:30, we have a picture. Although we missed a few of the upcoming previews, we did enjoy the movie.

I ordered tickets early for the new Star Wars movie. Mistakenly, I ordered them for the wrong day and realized immediately. There is no way of fixing your order online. When I called customer service I was informed they couldnt fix it either and my tickets would have to be refunded and then bought again, which is fine. However, they also informed me that the convenience fee of $7.50 is nonrefundable and Id have to pay it again. What exactly was convenient? I paid you for a lack of convenience and wasted my money. I canceled those tickets and canceled my own tickets at the AMC theater in my town - over $100 in tickets not including your fees. Ive worked in customer service for over a decade and you had an opportunity to wow a customer and you failed. Now youve lost a customer and potentially more due to this review. Theres a Harkins 15 minutes away - go there instead. Much better customer service. Enjoy your $15.

Weve been going here monthly recently to see Rocky Horror Picture Show. I wish they would move to a different theater. The staff is incompetent, seemingly unable to handle playing the pre-show videos at a volume thats able to be heard if they can even get them to play at all. Theres a creepy "security" guy pacing around with a gun strapped to his waist, that makes me incredibly uncomfortable. Tonight they charged me double the listed price to attend and they made me pay for my son, which I normally dont need to do (he sleeps through the whole thing anyway). I love seeing the show, but this theater is horrible. I used to have a lot more fun seeing Rocky Horror at other venues, AMC has sucked a lot of life out of it.

Horrible. They have automated kiosks only, 1 person there to assist but then there are only 4 kiosks. All customers are in the dame line which takes time because only 1 person helps at kiosks. Then you have to choose a seat when buying the ticket. When 3 of us were meeting up none of knew each others seat number which would not have been a problem until all the movie goers finally did get into the theater only to find their seats were taken. Anyway, My friends and I were treating ourselves to a movie for Mothers Day. After seeing all the previews we were booted out of our seats and then there was not 3 seats together... Got our money back and left, never going going back!!.
