My friend purchased a Groupon for the wine tasting with 2 keepsake wine glasses, art tour and chocolate. The location was a bit difficult to find at first and parking was quite limited. We walked in to find a small, cluttered room filled with plastic tables and chairs and were quickly directed by the female owner to sit at a specific table. Each place setting had a wine glass and a sampler box of Halloween themed Whitmans chocolate. Not really what I expected for chocolate since there are many wonderful locally owned chocolatiers that would have been glad to partner with this winery that was also locally owned. Not to mention it was NOT Halloween. The wine tasting began with the couple asking each other if it was time to start. And at 3:03 pm, they locked the door and we began. The man excused himself to go to the wine making area and the women yelled at him not to run over her toes in his motorized wheelchair. Then she started by telling us that she was very wealthy growing up. This so called wine tasting appeared to be more like a description of the adventures they had locating the wine and how much money everything cost. The elderly man was delightful and had such character when he was showing us the art room and the wine making process. At checkout, I asked about sampling some of the sangria they had and the woman said in a non polite way "yes you can when its your turn." So my friend and I relegated ourselves back to the plastic chairs as if wed been scolded. When she finally finished helping the couple in front of us, she called out very loudly "Hello!" to get our attention, even though we were just steps away. It was very rude and I cant say Ive ever been treated that way by a small business owner. A bottle of wine was about $30 each too, which in my opinion is rather expensive. As we exited, I noticed a dead cockroach on the floor. Im all for supporting local, small businesses but after my experience here, I will likely not return or recommend this place to anyone I know.

I wish there was a zero star option because they dont deserve even the one star. They were rude and the customer service or lack there of was horrendous! I called the number they listed and a lady answered with a persons name instead of saying the winerys name so I asked is this the winery and the lady said "yes! do you have a groupon??" I said no Im trying to find out how late youre open then she rudely said hold on and was yelling at someone to "take this call this lady is asking about 20 questions!" So an elderly sounding man took the phone and said "can I help you?" And I said I was just wondering how late youre open and he said Do you have a Groupon?" And I said no! I just wanted to see if you were open today and how late? He said we work on appointment only. I said oh, well I called the number listed and the woman didnt answer with the winery name and I heard her tell you I had about 20 questions when I only had one, and the customer service was very rude. He began yelling that theyve been there 17 years and they do just fine. So I hung up. I will never go there and will tell anyone and everyone how they treat potential customers and refer them to Florida Orange Groves Winery instead.

This is the best wine that Ive had in 5 years, easily. Im apparently allergic to sulfites, which most wines are filled with. The Tarpon Springs Castle Winery makes a wonderful Pinot Noir. We did a chocolate and wine pairing. While I think that the coconut chocolate was out of place with the wines, the rest of the chocolats were nice with the wines. I do think that the chocolates, which are Russel Stover, are not as nice as if they were Godiva, but they still worked well for pairing with Pinot Noir, Merlod, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. I went home with 6 bottles of wine and I plan on doing another tasting. The owners of this establishment were wonderful to talk to about wines. Their process may take longer than your average California winery, but its well worth the wait.

WHAT A JOKE! We purchased a Living Social deal for 4 people at this place. Paid $38.99 (regular price $222.11!). Supposed to include wine tasting for 4, crystal wine glasses and full glass of wine for each person, 2 sangria kits and a wine education lecture. We got 1 sip of 5 different wines, a glass of wine, 1 Sangria kit and the glasses WERE NOT crystal!!! I have traveled all over the world and been to countless wineries and never been ripped off so badly. When we questioned the price, the owner turned from Mrs. Santa Claus to Linda Blair in the Exorcist. Embarrassed us in front of other customers. Horrible experience and the wines sucked too. The Sangria kit that you get is not even made by them and can be purchased on line elsewhere for $4.95. AVOID THIS PLACE!

I bought a Groupon and when I was unable to go during open business hours I asked to instead redeem the paid value for two bottles of wine. They told me that would be illegal because they signed a contract stating that they could only sell me the promotional value. When I tried to show them the Groupon document stating the paid value can be used for any purchase at the location, they refused to look at it. They then offered me one bottle of wine for the $39 voucher and told me it was "a great deal". I was there shaking and crying for half an hour trying to explain to them that the paid value should still be good towards any purchase I choose. They ripped me off and the place was a disgusting dump anyways. NEVER GOING BACK!

We purchased the "cheese and chocolate" groupon. it came with 5 tastings a bottle of wine cheese and chocolate. the wine was decent. The chocolate was holoween chocolate and the cheese was a small tub of cream cheese. Dont get your hopes up. If we had paid full price for this i would have complained. The couple who owns it are very odd. She told us we would be having reds and white wines but only served us reds and then told us if we wanted to taste the whites we would have to pay extra. i gave it 2 stars because the wine wasnt horrible. Dont go to this if your expecting a great wine tasting with knowledgable people . go here if you want to drink wine and laugh about how awkward this experiance is.

I was at Tarpon Springs Castle Winery with a group of friends this afternoon for a couple of hours enjoying the wine tasting and all that went with it. Loved the wine, especially the Merlot. This has to be the best place in the area to buy your wine! They are chemical free! We all learned a lot about wine and how to know the good from the bad. We all enjoyed the art and the great stories behind it all. We all left with a bottle of wine and a crystal wine glass. We had used the Groupon and it was well worth it! Thank you Diana and Joe for a lovely afternoon.
