Was excited to see Ant-Man today with my 16 year old daughter. Thought that it would be fun to check out their UltraScreen experience and drive almost an hour from Marion to see it. Overall the theater is pretty nice, the prices were better than in Cedar Rapids, and the people were mostly friendly. The problem is that while the screen is a little bigger in their UltraScreen theater, the contrast was horrible. I mean, the whole image was washed out. The 4K image was crisp, but dang, was the overall experience "dulled" by the image contrast. I have a much better black level and brighter (and more colorful) image on my 138" projection setup at home. Of course, mine is calibrated, and it could be that they just need a pro to come in an fix theirs. The overall experience was OK, but I doubt that we will be back unless I hear that they have resolved this issue. I guess that leaves the local theaters when we "cant wait" for a movie to come out on blu-ray, or driving to the Quad Cities for their IMAX screen, but even that is quite the haul.

I would give this play zero stars if I could. Went in tonight for the 1010 showing of resident evil. Arrived at 940, bought my ticket and set in a dark theater until 1010. No movie. Waited until 1015 to ask why the movie was not started. Kid behind the counter looks suprised as to why it had not started. Calls on his radio and I go back to my seat. 1022 I go back up and see what the hold up is because I am still sitting in a dark theater. The kid behind the counter ( after he looks up from his phone) says she is working on it. I go back to my seat and the pre movie pepsi spotlight is playing. I waited and watch for the movie to start until 1030. I then go up and ask for my money back. He calls the manager over and she says it jsut started, I told her that I do not care, I have been waiting for the movie to start for over 20mins now. She gives me my money back but never says anything to me after that. Do not go here! They are unprofessional and do not care about your experience there.

I drove 15 miles to get to the theatre only to find out the movie I wanted to see had been cancelled. The time had been listed all day and they had removed it without any notice or warning on the website. There were 15+ people waiting to see the one showing they had listed that day. The stupid part is every other day of the week they had 3 showings of the movie and never once cancelled the showings. My day off was ruined because my date night didnt have the movie to go with it. All of the other movies playing at the time seemed uninteresting and I would not pay $10 dollars to watch them.

Too costly; theatre gives no though to the environmenral impact theyre having in that Ive made the suggestion *many* times that they provide, for an initial small extra amount, reusable containers for popcorn. The kind of popcorn buckets like the Cedar Rapids, IA, theatres have, where patrons can wash and bring back the plastic bucket for reuse the next time they go to see a movie. The Marcus Theatres havr no interest, in fact, soon after I started requesting they make the change the theatre decided to make their paper/wax buckets smaller and more costly!

The UltraScreen DLX theater makes for a fantastic moviegoing experience. First, you get to pick your seats using a touchscreen map of the auditorium when you buy your tickets. And these arent regular seats. These are reclining leather loveseats with an armrest in the middle (you can flip it up if you want to cuddle). On top of that, the screen is huge, making films totally immersive. The sound system will literally make your bones rattle.

Im a truck driver so I go to theaters all over the country , I love this one. Yeah the the prices are a little high for concessions but where are they low with first run movies? The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I have enjoyed every movie I have attended here, Plan on seeing another today. For those who think prices are high? Its a big chain theater come on folks

I love going here. It is a relaxing environment. I usually see all the Marvel films on their opening weekend here. The only negative content is the fact that half the time all the popular films I want to see are on the Ultrascreen in 3D, which means some of my friends wont go. Overall good theater, expect overpriced concessions as with any theater.

Went to a move 5/2011 sat near the back. Rude people talking all around us, the projector in the back was annoying and uncharacteristically loud and the concessions follow the unfortunate trend of being too dam expensive. Good leg room, but it was a terrible experience and I will likely go to Waterloo the next time I want to see a movie.

Its not as bad as these people are saying its a big theatre with lots of screens, i have seen dozens of movies here and the projecter has never broke! the only thing negative is that its so expensive the movie and the concessions! but that might just be the economy!!

Went to this theater...the Ultra Screen is AMAZING!...But had a problem with one of the sales lady...and she a BLEEP...A BIG BLEEP! And I think I will be avoiding this theater for a while...Thanks Pam!!! for ruining the "Marcus Experience" for me...

Went to see Suicide Squad in the ultra screen DLX. I havent been to this theater in a while and was impressed by the reclining chairs and overall remodel of the theater! Good job Marcus Theaters!

Good variety of movies. Price for sodas and snacks outrageousness . When I went in June air conditioning was broken and stuck on 53 degrees. We froze with our summer clothes on

Do not go to this theater. Went to see Immortals last and the projector broke twice during the movie. The second time everyone in the theater walked out. Dont waste your money!!!

Saw Dunkirk in the "Dream Lounger" Giant Screen theater and we are spoiled! Never going anywhere else again! Comfortable, clean, nice snackbar and friendlt staff, too.
