I have been coming here for years! It is nice and the seats ARE comfortable. NOw, it is very ghetto. Well, the people that go are ghetto, not the theater. There have been quite a few break-ins also, there was some kind of hold up there in the parking lot. The south side in general is not the cleanest safest place, but if you keep to your self, and dont give people the "hard" look. I know it is completely ridiculous, but that is how the stupid kids on the south side are. They think they are big and "hard" but in fact they really are children who are struggling. So.. just keep to your self. Other than all of that.... it really is a good theater. BUT keep in mind that friday and Saturday nights are PACKED to the fullest with kids who have nothing better to do. Make sure if you are going to go to the theater one of those nights to purchase your ticket ahead of time. TRUST ME.. ok fine.. you dont, then show up and never get your ticket.

I have to tell you that I was impressed with the clean smell of the restrooms. Its amazingly clean compared to some theaters. You can sure smell the cleanser they use and Id rather smell CLEAN than ugh. The theaters are also kept tidy. When the guest leave, they always have a crew ready to do their stuff. Their seats are very comfortable and plenty of leg room to go by if you have to move through the rows. Thats a plus for me. Everything always looks neat and tidy. I didnt give it a five star only because of the parking. Its sometimes hard to find good parking. Otherwise, its great and the prices, too!

Love this place. Talk about a major make over. I come here every weekend. Managing staff is a huge change. Not sure what corporate is doing but job well done!! Staff is amazing and help you with food very quickly, literally escort you to the movie theater if needed. The way 2 employees helped a handicap person was the nicest thing I have ever seen in all movie theaters I have been to. Notified the GM of her employees and how fast people were being helped. Definitely recommending this place to my employees, family and friends!! Thanks Mayan Theater

Movie was great! But didnt like the idea of assigned seating! Hadnt been here in years. Wasnt pleased about that. Hated that I had to sit next to a whole family. When they showed up to their seats I was told by the mother that I had their seat. So I moved over. One of her kids sat next to me where I was at prior but the little kid moved to another row where i guess the rest of the family was. Wont be coming here again! And of course very pricey!

I Used To Work Here From Dec. 2010 To April 2011. The Managers Are Racist. Whenever I was on my break, I would order food and the manager by the name of "Stephanie" would always check my receipt to see if I paid and/or if I got anything "extra" that I shouldnt have, while she didnt check other employees receipts. There was a shooting here as well, and none of the management staff didnt seem to care one bit.

I stop going here because there very rude and there service is really slow I had went with my wife and kids to watch agent 47 we couldnt get it because my little girl wasnt 7 she was 6 yrs old stupid right instead we went to city base service was great didnt ask us for our ID or anything I think the owener of Mayan should get rid of his staff thats losing bussiness if there treating customers like that.

Sitting just off the IH 35 Freeway just south of beautiful downtown San Antonio is the wonderfully designed Santikos Mayan 14 Theater. The theater, which is made to look like a Mayan temple is not only a unique addition to the South Side of San Antonio, it is also great location for watching the biggest blockbusters as they feature some of the latest technology in their auditoriums.

I hated that I had to seat on a assigned seating. And my seat "F-2" in theatre"9 on 12/31/2016 was quenched In pissed, lucky for me that no one occupied the seats around us, so my wife and I were able to move over. But it still smelled like piss ALL around. Very uncomfortable, scratching through out the movie. And the food, Cmon??? What is it a month old????

we visit the Mayan several times a month ,we love the grilled chicken salad ,the chef makes it just the way we love it. we love the staff ,we love the Mayan , we are thankful they serve a healthy menu , and movies without language, & sensuality , Christian based movies are now being shown . thank you Thomas & mary

The Mayan isnt as bad as people make it out to be based on location. Its still one of the few places I know that lets you refill your own drink/icee without poking your eyes out for refill charges. The gameroom renovation and addition of pre-movie seat selection are also a nice touch.

I recently visited the theatre, and I was thoroughly impressed with the way in which they have upgraded the cinema. Everything was clean and looked very nice, the one and only thing I could possibly complain about is that they never answer their guest services phone.

I expected more out of a santikos theatre. It was absolutely disgusting. It was very hot, all of the seats were dusty and sticky. I reached over to my cup holder and I didnt even have a drink and I touched an unidentifiable liquid. It was more of the Mayan ruins.

Assigned seating? What is this middle school, show up early like your supposed to. If you never been here dont come. There are a million seats and if you choose wrong you will end up sitting in nose bleeds or under the screen.
