Cost $3/ticket. Sodas $4.75 a piece!!!! Seats uncomfortable, narrow width and also narrow length of bottom hard seat. Back of seat low so no place to rest your head. Screen uncomfortably high so your neck is aching at the end of the movie from holding it at this awkward angle for the duration of the movie. Yes, this is what our 1960s theaters were like.... You can hear the projector running behind you. The sound system is poor and its definitely not HD. I was surprised at how poor the picture quality was compared to my new Samsung TV. Its dark inside and somewhat dank. If you like that era and old time "smell". If you are into a retro experience. If you have 4 kids and are on a budget and DONT want refreshments then OK this is the place for you. (There is a sign at the ticket booth that says "NO OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS") Otherwise go to Harkins Twilight show or get a Senior Discount $6.50/ticket and get the Loyalty cup once per year and get your drink for $1.50 each time you come. Buy your T shirt and get your popcorn free and sit in COMFORT. Which one did I spend more??? When you are 60+ we LIVED the retro experience and we want to feel like we are sitting on the COUCH. For a couple of dollars more you dont have to leave with your back and neck hurting.....

LOVE SUPER SAVER!!! You cant beat the ticket prices. The staff is always friendly and the popcorn is very good. Food and drink prices are fair, not a huge discount, but they DO have to make money to stay in business. The kids snack pack is great. Popcorn, a drink and a candy, exactly what kids want and not "too much" of it. No one needs 3 gallons of popcorn. I do wish the drink was a little bigger, but for the price it is a great deal. Older seats and equipment and the movies are sometimes already out on video when they hit this theater. However, I dont buy movies for home, so its perfect for my kids to see the movies on the big screen (at a price I can actually afford). For the ticket price, its a GREAT GREAT deal. I would give it 5 stars if they could turn the movies over faster. Only one movie is appropriate for my 4-year old right now, and its been the same for a few months, so we havent been able to go back for a long time. If anyone from Super Saver is reading this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE turn over movies faster so we can go more often! Thanks for providing a great service, affordable movies!

Hello I go to the movies there on Tuesdays as often as I can. I enjoy the nice clean atmosphere, friendly service, friendly ticket takers and all the staff. The chairs dont rock but i dont need them to, they serve as confortable chairs. The person who commented they were unconfortable chairs needed to sit somewhere else. I have been comming to this theatre for years and for the Tue price cant go wrong cant complain. Two weeks ago the film broke, the nice manager came in and told us what the hold up was. The person behind me stated well that wouldnt happen at AMC or Harkins. I told them for a dollar and a half can you really have any complaint especially since the mananger walked in and explained the problem. Had another time that the film couldnt play at all. So the same mananger came in told us the news and refunded us with movie passes. I do not have complaints for the Silver Cinema.......Thank you for making it so that I can still afford to get out of the house and get to the movies. C.heward

I like this discount theater, even though the seats are older and not as comfy as Harkins or AMC. I love their Tuesday Pricing of $1.50. That being said, what I DONT like about this theater is the consessions stand. It is expensive! I NEVER buy ANY food or drink when we go there. I really wish they would offer a discount refillable soda cup like Harkins does. I have a family of 4 and I refuse to pay $20 for soda every time. Because I never get a soda, I also skip the candy and popcorn. So, this theater charges $3 for a ticket and $5 for a soda. So if you want a drink this place will cost $8.00 per person. At Harkins for a movie before 6pm it costs $7.50, I get a refill soda for $1.50 so my total cost is $9.00. Most of the time I just choose to pay the $1 extra and go to Harkins. In the case of $1.50 Tuesdays your paying $6.50 vs $9, but no soda. In summery, if this theater would offer discounts on consessions for loyal customers I would choose it more frequently.

OK, so if youre not doing the standard stadium fabulousness or youve mowed through all the Ooooooooooooo! and the Yeah, OK, and even the Um, I guess... at the regular theaters, this place is GREAT. $3 ($1.5 on Tuesdays??!?) is impressive, but what I like is the choice of decent or even good movies Ive missed, and what I *love* is the Space Mountain-Raj Palace corridors and doors. (OK, and I super appreciate the lack of Odd Odors and Questionable Seats that can be part of the whole experience of non-stadium, non-3-D theaters....) A couple days ago my father and I stood staring at the choices of whatever normal stadium theater wed gone to in the NE valley for maybe 8 minutes before finally going to see something we werent very interested in seeing; it was kind of a blah The Graduate feeling, whereas today Im actually looking forward to going to Silver Cinemas to zoom down the shnazzy tunnels to whichever glorious ancient door is the portal to some sci-fi fun!

Well hello everyone. Im an employee at super saver cinemas 8 i wanted to take the time to appreciate all your good reviews and say thank you! And to those of you that are complaining about our seats im sorry for that but you do have to understand that we are a BUDGET theater and it is fairly hard to replace the more than thousands of seats we have. And about the.concession prices they are so sky high because our tickets are 3 dollars (1.50 tuesdays) we would deffinatly not be in buissness if our concession prices were as cheap as the tickets. It does take ALOT to run a buissness we try our best to compromise and do what we can when we can to improve. We may have sticky floors and what youd consider "bad" seats but we do work hard for our customers. Thank you for all your buissness and i hope to see many of you in the future still coming to silver cinemas!(:

Who doesnt like to spend a fortune on the movies? Tell me about it! Silver Cinemas has a way to lighten that cost for you and get you to check your flux capacitor on your Delorean! Walking into this place is like stepping back into the 80s and I prefer they never change that. The decor is all part of the experience. Those who expect top notch bathrooms, state of the art technology or stadium seating may be disappointed. I dont mind for the price and the ability to see something different. Many theatres try to do this throwback to the 30s/20s art deco retro deal. Although this type of decor and setting would be my favorite, its very fake. No one has what this theatre does. I havent had a problem seeing a picture here at all.
