This has to be one of the worst theaters I have ever been to. First off, the seats are really dirty. You might not notice it when the lights are off, but you do not want to sit in these seats. There are all kinds of things, like gum, crumbs and dirt marks on almost every seat Ive looked at in some of the theater rooms. Secondly, the costumer service is beyond terrible. They may act friendly to your face, but they dont do anything to service you. There has been two times where the movies audio started and not only did the lights not go off, but the screen was practically blank. What did the AMC workers here do? Absolutely nothing but tell me to "wait and the movie might come on in a few minutes" even though the movies audio was already five minutes in. One of the times, the lights didnt turn off, I looked behind to see what was going on, and when I looked at the window where the projector was, I saw to workers just standing there laughing and pointing at me. I couldnt believe it because I wasnt the only one in the theater and they still just left the lights on laughing. Then when I pointed to the ceiling to indicate the lights, they gave me the middle finger. So I went to the service desk and asked to see a manager, and they told me the manager was out to lunch. I came back later, and they had another excuse to why the manager wasnt around by saying, "hes out at a business meeting" Please, go anywhere else but here if you want a clean respectful environment. I was so nice to these people and it didnt lead anywhere good. This theater is really expensive anyways, youre better off taking a trip to another theater and saving a few bucks for better seats and better costumer service.

this is honestly the worst movie theater ever. i went to see the movie MAMA last night i decided i am never going back there again after years of going to this place i have had enough. i payed to see a horror movie and it seems that i was watching a comedy. everyone is the theater was laughing making jokes the whole time. me and my boyfriend sat way in the front rows and i could hear the conversations of the people way at the top and it seems that every time i go there always has to be one or more group of annoying teenagers running around talking and making jokes. we had a group like that right behind us and when i turned around to politely ask them to quiet down they just mocked me and continued. i went outside to let the staff know what was going on and they never even came in to check what was going on. i wanted to cry through the whole thing i was so angry! when i got home i called guest services but the man on the phone was being very rude to me. they offered to refund my tickets but honestly the way the man was acting and all the experiences i have had there i didnt even want to go back and deal with that place again.

PLEASE GET SECURITY. THIS MOVIE THEATRE IS DANGEROUS. I went to your South Galleria branch in Torrance, to see Elysium at 4:20 pm with a friend. Im 40 yrs old and work in the entertainment industry. Throughout the movie I felt pushing on my seat. The woman next to me began leaning forward throughout the movie. I looked back and two young men were leaning on our seats with their knees. I asked politely again and again for the man behind me if he could stop leaning on my seat and he refused and threatened me. Extremely disturbed, I told him Id go have him removed by security. When I went to find security, unbelievably, there was none. Only a small, skinny white pimply teenager who said he couldnt do anything but give him a warning and that was it. He accompanied me back to my seat and said nothing to him. After unpleasantries were exchanged, we left extremely disappointed in my AMC experience. PLEASE GET SECURITY. I was very very disappointed in AMC for this and am using social media as a platform to tell others about this.

March 28,2016 was the worst experience Ive ever had at the AMC GALLERIA in South Bay in theater 9!!! First off people should understand not to bring babies in the movies . We had crying babies . Kids running back and forth and their parents werent saying anything !!! There also was a group of teens that kept coming in and yelling "BURGER" being very rude !! Walking back and forth around the theater !! They did that about 4times !!! last But not LEAST !! There was a women who instead of going out the way she had came in , she went out the EMERGENCY EXIT !!! Then about 10mins later she tried came back and was locked out because of course (it was an EMERGENCY EXIT) BANGING ON THE DOOR FOR ABOUT 30min disrupting the whole movie !! She kept banging and banging by that time most of everyone in the theater started walking out VERY PISSED !!! It was pointless to keep watching it no way you could concentrate on the movie ! This was the worst experience Ive ever had at the South Bay galleria

This place gets 3 stars since the seats were comfortable and the matinee was affordable. The staff however was rude. After standing in a long line with only one register open, the cashier was finally free so we walked up and staff didnt even greet us. She just looked at us with a mean face so we started to order. Rude service. When we were receiving our food, I was asking the guy who delivered a question and he walked away in the middle of my sentence. They got our sauce wrong and after I ran after him, he said he would bring the correct one and he never came back. My food was cold by the time I went to the concession stand for bbq sauce. I asked to speak to the manager and she apologized with the most nonchalant face ever. They need a new manager who knows how to run a movie theater....
