This theater doesnt allow anyone under the age of 21yrs. It states that in fine print on fandango, however who on earth would assume that means anything other than supervision required by someone over 21?! I brought my 11yr old son to a PG-13 movie and they asked for his ID. 11. Really?! Why even ask?! Then said I couldnt bring him in because they cant assume responsibility for him in case I serve him alcohol. It was our last night in LA and this theatre trashed our night. Im so glad AMC is monitoring whether or not I choose to serve my 11yr old alcohol. Phew. We should all feel so much better with AMC taking on this responsibility. Then-I couldnt get a refund bc the credit card attached to my fandango account wasnt on me.

Really nice theater for independent movies in the heart of the Sunset Strip. I think it used to be a Laemmles; I seem to recall coming here for another movie a long time ago and it wasnt as nice. The theaters are intimate (classy for "small") but the seats are deluxe with wide arm rest spaces every two seats for your wine glass and whatnot. Very, very nice. I didnt get to sample any of their food or drink this time around but I do believe the next time I shall indulge. They have a nice lounge area upstairs with leather couches and cool contemporary art by local artists on the walls. Way to class up the joint, Robert Redford and gang--I heartily approve!

Ive been to the theater a few times on Tuesdays when tickets are heavily discounted. I really like the reserved seating, but it also means that during the first five minutes of a movie you have to deal with more latecomers walking in front of the screen than in other places. Why only two stars? Its the image quality that is subpar. The projection was dim and grayish each time I went. As another reviewer already mentioned, the exit signs are very bright and distracting. The sound is alright but not great. I would gladly trade in some of the amenities the theater offers for a better viewing experience.

The atmosphere is great and the movie ticket prices are better the competition. But I cant rate 4 or 5 stars for 2 reasons: -Food prices are a bit high for the quality. The chicken was pre-cooked before arriving at the theater and the tater tots werent crunchy. A bit disappointing for a fancy theater with a focus on the gourmet concessions. -The EXIT signs in the theaters are very bright and detract from the movie watching experience. While I understand they are needed by law, the placement or the brightness has to be changed.

Major disappointment!! Seats do not recline, barely lean and arent that wide. Wide armrest for you AND another to SHARE. You are NOT able to order from your seat and have it brought to you like most other dine in theaters. 1 register open on a busy Saturday night at 8 with line reaching to the front just to wait to order anything. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND $.. MAKE THE DRIVE TO THE MARINA AMC DINE IN it 100% better.

Excellent theater for the movie goer that appreciates independent films. without the sound of screaming children. 21 and over only with a bar serving wine as well as crafted beers, some interesting good eats, upstairs lounging area, as well as comfortable and roomy theater seating make it my favorite destination in LA for a movie. Its also a great place to take a date.

I was really stoked to see special interest film like "White Wash" by Ted Woods on the big screen of the Leammle Sunset Theater. With the Veggie Grill to offer good food and a comfortable atmoshere for the films West Coast Premiere, it was a wonderful experience. Bravo to the films handling of a sensitive topic! peace

Went with a friend to watch Swiss Army Man. I loved this theatre a lot! Roomy, comfortable seats, very clean, lively. People under 21 arent allowed in, so there are never young children in the audience. Also, this theatre only shows indie films. For students, ticket prices are 6$ on Tuesdays, and definitely worth it!

Great theater! They serve beer and wine, popcorn, sandwiches and more. The staff is friendly and eager to help and the theater is clean and the screening have great sound and picture quality. Dont forget to arrive a little early and head upstairs to the wonderful seating area. Very comfy couches!

Adult beverages, no children allowed. What more could a mature movie goer want in a theater? How about some cafe food, indie films, and reserved seating? Yup, they got those here too. Parking is free with validation in the complex. You can eat at theater or there are lots of places close by.

Quite possibly the best movie going experience in LA. 21 and over only venue, so all screenings allow for purchased alcohol consumption (unlike the Landmark who only allows specific screenings). Also no crying babies or children running amok.

One of the few places in Los Angeles where you can see hard to find indie movies and foreign films.Only for adults 21 and over. They serve alcohol and in the theaters you can drink it. Come on Tuesdays for the student of life discount.

One of the best theaters in Los Angeles, especially if you are looking for limited release films. Validated 3 hour parking, tons of food and drink (including wine/beer) options. And $5 movies all day on Tuesdays. Reserved seating.

If only they showed my movies there Id go there every time. 21+ to get in, which means ZERO annoying kids talking while the movie plays (sorry annoying kids you know who you are). They check I.D. too (serve alcohol, wine, etc).

I came here for a movie and have returned just to experience this theater (even if the movies dont look so great). Rarely crowded. Great beer and wine. Hot food selection. I hope more people dont find out about this gem.

I have ensured that none of my friends ever go to this crappy theater. The reason? Theyre morons. Why are they morons? Because the least you could do as an independent theater is have a user-friendly website. Thanks, B

The staff is welcoming and helpful. PB&J is comforting, and the waiting area upstairs is plus and quiet. Moviegoers are respectful of each other (e.g., cell phones dont ring, no ones having conversations during movies).

Excellent theater plays almost every movie the big theaters dont. You can drink wine and there is a delicious menu for food that is very reasonably priced.

I like the $6 all day Tuesdays and that its for only 21+. But, thats because they have wine for sale, not because of the movies.
