The only thing this place has going is they shut it down for months to replace the greens. Unfortunately they have the same mgmnt in place and grounds crew. There was grass clipping all ove the place in the fairways. Felt like you are hitting from someones back yard all the time. Kids playing all over people on the back porch listening to music and drinking. If you want to get away to play a nice round of golf this IS NOT THE PLACE!!! Dont leave the fairways or you are in someones yard every hole!!!! If you want to play with kids running all around then go here but sneak on because it is not worth the green fees they charge!!! If you are a beginner then you will be set any thing else DON"T GO HERE!!!

The greens are a lot better than they used to be after they shut the place down for 8 weeks this summer. It all depends on what day you go to this place. Ive been there on good days (mowed about 2 days before I got there) and bad- wasnt mowed for a while and the rough was PGA tour tough. So tall, if you hit any shots into the rough, you couldnt find your ball unless you stepped on it. They do need to have more people on staff. The guy taking the money is the same guy who serves your food at a different counter. He probably gets stuck doing the mowing too.

I have been playing Hedingham Golf Course for over 20 years. I have seen the course in bad conditions and good conditions. The course is now in the best condition I have seen in this time. The fairways and greens are in great shape which makes it a pleasure to play. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and encourages suggestions and comments about course conditions. This is a very woman friendly course and I highly recommend it for an enjoyable round of golf.

Had a few buddies and I head over to Hedingham for after work earlier this week. The staff was very nice and got us out on the front 9 to play while they had a little event on the back side. The course was certainly playable. The greens appear to be coming back to a good place, and I would certainly expect that the hard work that is occurring should have this course back in solid condition very soon. It was an enjoyable time, and we will be back.

Ive been playing Hedingham for many years. Ive seen the down side that you see in many reviews and Ive seen the upside. The course was in pretty bad shape earlier this year but I am so pleased at the improvements that have made. The greens are great and in the best shape they have been in in years. Could be some the best in the area right now. The fairways and tee boxes are good and are steadily improving. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Best staff I have ever seen. Jerry the head pro is extremely personable and so is everyone that works there. I left my keys in the proshop and the cart guy stayed the entire time with me, and Jerry even drove from 45 mins away to unlock the clubhouse at 9 when he had to be up to open the shop on a holiday weekend. The course could use some work but they are definitely on the right track to being where they need to be and the price is good.

This course was just shut down for 2 months in the middle of the season two years ago to replace the greens. The greens are again going to hell. Their maintenance is awful. The houses are tighter to the course than anywhere else in the Raleigh-Durham area. The cart paths have needed replaced for 5 years. This place could be much better if they had any kind of interest in proper maintenance.

Course is located within the residentialcommunity of Hedingham and actually winds its way through t the entire subdivision following a rather sporadic path that somehow wins up creating a unique backdrop for golfing. The course itself is not overly challenging for a decent player, but the uniqueness of the layout keeps your interest. Open to the public and very reasonably priced.

Played here on April 25, 2009. The fairways and tee areas were recently aerated and, in my opinion, the whole course should have been considered ground under repair. Second or third shots were usually hit from bare dirt. Also, the greens were very slow (not like the practice green). IMO, way overpriced and I doubt I will ever play here again.

Not worth the money, greens are horrible. The pro shop does not stagger the golfers on the tee boxes so we had a ten minute wait minimum at each and every hole. It was not worth my time and money to play here. There are far better golf courses in Raleigh than this, spend your money someplace else.

I stopped by to hit some balls at the range here but wasnt able to. Just as a heads up to those wanting to have some range time, you need a collared shirt. I am well aware of course etiquette but I have never been to a range that required a collar. Maybe its just me.

Fairways and greens in horrible condition. Almost unplayable, even for beginners. Definitely not worth $40. Doesnt even look like they are attempting to fix the course. Will not be going back.

The course is really taking shape after Jerry Gregory took over. Fairways and greens are showing marked improvement thanks to Daniel Davies and crew. Well worth consideration !

The fairways are burnt up and its not even summer yet. Everything should be green. The greens are spotty at best. One of the worst courses in Raleigh.

I went to the range to hit some balls and I was told I had to have a shirt with a collar....to hit balls on the range.
