The exercise facility is equipped with all the right equipment one would need unless youre looking for crossfit stuff, and generally theres always open cardio equipment unless during peak hours. The pool area is always fun for our kids. I wish the hours were more flexible since theres a lot of times when theres swimming lessons during the week, but we make use of those lessons with our kids, and are glad the pool isnt packed during them. The indoor play area is a great option for our three year old during the too hot and cold days, and a good reward for being good while at the childcare while we workout. Without our family membership we wouldnt visit like we do because its a little expensive for us, but every indoor pool is expensive when you consider a three year old only wants to swim for an hour tops. Well be renewing our membership for another year for sure. You cant beat $13 per month after medical insurance reimbursement for working out regularly.

I went on a Wednesday when I was on spring break. I went to the water park with 4 other friends. We are in Middle School and there were a bunch of little kids around. We had a lot of fun. It opened around 4 and we got there before it did. We were in line for a little bit but not bad. You could really smell the chlorine right away but you got used to it after awhile. We got a locker for all of us to share. I kind of hated that we had to spend a quarter each time we wanted something from it. When we went to get food the lady at the counter was all alone. There was a lot of people and she looked really overwhelmed. The day we went there must have been lifeguard training or something because they were practicing lots of different drills. All in all a fun experience and family friendly place.

Have had a problem twice now with older kids bullying small children in upper parts of the indoor playground, out of sight and reach of parents. My 5 yr old son was punched in the stomach by a mean 10 yr old red headed girl on the top level, witnessed by several other children. I felt helpless not being able to see up there or get up there to aid and defend my child as he cried. Staff responded very well and were kind and empathetic, even gave us a free family pass for another day. The kid fled before she could be identified. But I feel more security should be in place. Lots of older kids being rough and reckless, often without wristbands. More enforcement and safety needed.

Ive been a regular here for two years, when I fist came here for th water park the lifeguards were very rude. The staff seems a little nicer now. I recently came here waiting 15 minutes to get into the family changing room only to be budged by an "adult" and her family. Fed up I did not want to keep waiting and wanted to get my money back and leave and I asked the manager to get a refund because I was unable to use the pool he asked why and got an attitude with me. As a manager you should give a refund if they didnt use your services without any questions asked.

Nice place to let the little ones burn some energy in between hockey tournament games. My kids loved the big water slide with light and they could choose music to slide down too. However, water aerobics class started and the music no longer worked. A female lifeguard was snotty when I and my son asked about it and she told us to try a different song & it had nothing to with the water aerobics. Finally a manager fixed it. The water aerobics instructor had turned it off. The floating lily pad rope course was a hit as well as the little kids area and slide.

The play area is fantastic. Big and fun. Can get over crowded at times but thats to be expected. Havent been in the gym but by the looks of it seems decent. Not sure about their free weights but they got cardio stuff. Pool is awesome but expensive! And at times they have classes so it becomes a fraction of its size and they fail(ed) to let you know this after you spend the 30 or so bucks to swim there. If you are a resident its cheaper I believe. But all and all a top notch community center. Shoreview did good.

I wouldnt say this is such a great place but the pool area with big waterslide and area for smaller kids is pretty cool. The pool area seems clean and there are attentive life guards. What I dont like is that the locker rooms are kept way too cold. I didnt even like taking my baby daughter in after swim lessons because it was so cold. Also seems like the pool temperature itself could be a bit warmer particularly in the fall/winter. Its a fun place for the kids to spend a day though.

My son went here with a friends family and came home with a very strong chlorine smell. His towel made my eyes water and I coughed. He was coughing and vomited when he got home. I called the parents and they said other kids vomited at the pool and multiple people complained about the level of chlorine to employees. I called and talked to the manager that seemed like he didnt care at all about my concerns. He said he had no complaints. I will never allow my kid here again!!!

This rating if just for the pool: Is it just me or does the kiddy pool area seem disgusting? The water is very cloudy and cold. I did not want my child swimming in there. They have a very small family locker room and the rest room in the family locker room had a very strong urine stench. Gross. Its definitely not how I remember this place unfortunately.

Had our daughters birthday here. Woof! The party room was in ok until our 2 year old found the cabinet with the mold and mouse poop. Moving onto the waterpark. Overall this place is sort of dirty. Blood in the shower area and trash all over the locker room. Nothing is monitored except dont dare slide off a waterpark feature head first.

I get its a community pool, but WAY too much chlorine. When you breathe, you can FEEL it, its that bad. Also quite expensive just to work out, and clearly appeals to the rich north oaks demographic who can actually afford $10 a day LOL. Decent facility but nothing worth spending your money if you can find anywhere else.

The price of admission seems a bit steep to this grandpa ($9.25 for each grandchild) but the facilities are clean and very well maintained. The Wave snack bar has a wide variety of food at fair prices. The pool including water slide are well patrolled by a fine staff of lifeguards.

Its terribly overpriced if you are just trying to work out. They offer a lot of different options like a huge pool, basketball, and a gym. However, there should be a cheaper day pass option for just the gym. Almost $10 a day just to work out is too much.

Nice gyms, very nice kids play jungle gym area, and nice layout overall. The only issue we had was that the pool area just seemed too cool in the winter time. Not sure the air flow and heating system really work well with the large space.
