Dont bring children in. We tried to sit in the lounge because we wanted to do a taste testing as a group, the lady came up to us and told us this is a 21 and older section. We looked at her and said all of us are over 21 except my 1 year old daughter. She said we cant be in here because she was not 21. The bar was full and was not going to fit all 6 of us. So we left. Didnt even get to try anything.

Weve visited here twice and it was a wonderful experience! The servers are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the wine. We are even getting cases from here for our wedding (the almond infusion is delightful!). There is another winery in the area and we were very disappointed in that one compared to August Hill. A must go-to if youre in the area.

I am not a fan of wine. Ive tried it all and just never had a taste for it. The friendly and incredibly knowledgeable staff introduced me to a few different options based on my likes and dislikes. Of course they found something I truly enjoyed. Ill be back for more! Beautiful, comfortable and warm inviting atmosphere.

It is a little slice of heaven in Utica even if you are not a oenophile. Went three times on a two day vacation, feel in love and became members. Their Catawaba is like a jacked up jolly rancher, makes you feel like a kid again. If your in the area try Cajun Rons as well.

This is the best winery for me and my lady. We have been to wineries, and tasted maybe 200-250 wines from all over the Midwest. August Hill is our go to for great wine , great atmosphere and great people who know wine.

One of my favorite places in the Illinois Valley to visit. We stopped there with our party on our wedding day, and they were wonderful to us! Their Niagara wine is my favorite wine ever! A must stop place!!

It is Child friendly. After a day of hike at Starved Rock, this is a perfect place to get your breath back and enjoy some wine. Good small plates, with live music on the patio.

It is a great stopover after a good day at Starved Rock. It is a modern wine tasting place with a patio. They have good options for small plates to go with the wines.
