Tour Guide

This place is unique - its a working horse ranch and winery, and in the same family since the 1800s. Inside the Old Fruit Shed Tasting Room you can see lots of old documents and pictures on the wall from the old days, and they have some unique gift shop items, too. Fun place to visit - you can taste wine then watch the horses in the arena getting their workout. (they also rent horses here)

Suprising find. Wines are all made from their own farm; so you get a good idea of the local grapes. The person who served the wine was able to choose good wines for my taste easily. She was also knowledgeable. But if I didnt ask a question she was not about to give me information and I was the only person in the winery. Therefore I debated about giving it 3 stars.

Cooper Garrod is a unique location. The wines are outstanding. The setting is a down to earth beautiful location. This is not your fancy Napa winery setting. It is a great family owned location with a great history. The horses are fun to see. Dont miss it.
