I like to take my boys to the movies at least once a month. The Reel Cinema saves me the long drive and inflated prices of going to Bakersfield. The staff is always nice and polite and they always greet you with a smile. We like the all beef hot dogs and love the popcorn. For a small town theater, you sure get more than you bargained for and with great prices to boot. I also have to give a special nod to the new manager, Taylor, because things have improved so much since he has been there. :)

This has appeal as a local theatre, but just cannot compete with what they have in Bakersfield. The people there make it more fun (especially for a premiere), but the sound and picture are not as good. If youre wanting to see a movie with friends, this is perfect. If you want to see the movie in its best quality (eg, Star Wars, Harry Potter), you would want to drive out of town and see it elsewhere.

One movie choice per week, like it or not; its the only choice you have for movie entertainment in the Kern River Valley. And if you cant handle it LOUD! dont go! Personal preference in volume doesnt matter here even if youre the only one in the theater

This is a small town theater so dont expect stadium seating. Do expect a great movie, great service, and a clean place. Nothing like watching a movie and walking out into the star lit night.

Great home town theater. People are friendly, popcorn is fresh, even movie goers are friendly. Place is clean....bathrooms, too. Love the place. They try to get the newest releases.
