Excellent experience from start to finish. We ended up coming here because the air conditioner in the theater of the movie we wanted to see at Live Oak Theater was broken where they provided poor customer service and offered no discount to see another movie. Once we arrived at Rialto Theater we were pleasantly surprised on how helpful the ticket agent was in being able to select our seat. We then went up to order a popcorn and soda combo. We also wanted to order the nachos that we saw on the menu and the employee at the counter said youre able to order that at your table and we said okay. He then said Ill call over there and let them know that you want to order nachos. When we walked into the theater the lady attendant already knew we wanted nachos and she said they were already on the way and she showed us to our seat. Good movie experience, the tickets were cheaper than the Live Oak Theater, excellent service throughout the movie they also provide free refills on sodas and popcorn to your table just by lifting your menu. This will probably be our go to feeder for our family from now on its only one mile farther from our house then the Live Oak Theater but there is nothing better than good service.

The movie theatre itself is nice. The ticket prices are somewhat lower. This did NOT make up for the HORRIBLE service that you will receive when you go there. The movie that I saw was not even remotely full. My wife and I both ordered an alcoholic beverage, an appetizer, and our meals. The server that took our order brought us our 2 drinks 10 minutes later. Someone else brought our food out about 35 minutes later--appetizer and meal at the same time. We ordered another round of drinks... which never came. We NEVER saw our server throughout the ENTIRE film until 5 minutes before the credits rolled, she showed up with the check... which already had gratuity included. Everything on the menu is comparitively expensive ($8 alcoholic beverages). I can surmise that the reason the gratuity is added is because no one would tip with the God-awful service they offer! Pretty much, I will never go back there again. It sucked. If you want to go watch a movie, go there. If you want to eat, stay the hell away! Get your food yourself from the concession stand.

We purchased passes through groupon they specifically state that they are not good for "no passes" shows, we went on line & checked the schedule and found one show that did not appear to be "no passes”. We showed up and were told that all the shows were "no passes" and we could not use the groupon. When we inquired as to why it did not say no passes by the title of the show and why it was not stated on the website a young lady came to the mike in the outside booth and began screaming at me in a shrill voice so loudly that I had to back 5 feet away from the booth to avoid passing out. I explained that it did not say no passes on this one and she said yes there under the second showing line at the very bottom it say np. They were very rude and disrespectful & tried to embarrass us in front of other clients. I have a seizure disorder and had to take medication after the incident the screaming was so severe. This young lady was a Mel Gibson in the making.

I have no problem with the theater, the staff is friendly and I have drinks and food. I am giving 3 stars though because 1. The seats are very uncomfortable. Please tell me you all are going to replace them. If Im spending money to sit there for 2 hours my friends and I shouldnt have to be readjusting ourselves every 15 minutes. Problem 2. We went and saw IT an R rated movie right? Why in the world were there so many underage kids without company of an adult in there? Shouldnt you be asking for an ID for R rated movies? (I could be wrong, but that is how it was when I was underage) Also, I feel that for a movie such as that one(for being opening weekend) there should be someone checking tickets at the entrance to the screen. I saw so many people changing seats because the people that bought those seats came in and told them they need to move. Anyhow, please for the love of god get new seats!

Aside from the Drafthouse, this is my favorite theater thats relatively close to my place. I dont know what that other reviewer is talking about with the "urban" comments, but for the most part the Rialto is a solid theater. Its small and generally tends to be less packed than Live Oak and other more popular theaters in town (except when its a big movie that just came out). Its quite most times, and Ive had excellent service all but about twice with the dining in. Food options are great, drinks are good and the bartenders will mix you up a drink not on the menu if they arent too busy. My biggest issue is the inconsistency of where to buy your tickets. Since its not reserved seating I buy mine when Im at the theater and the ticket kiosk is in a different place every time (indoor at concessions, at the main lobby desk, and sometimes outside). Itd be nice if they could just stick to one place.

This pace is my go to movie theater. There a lot of really awesome positives at this theater. 1st the staff is really good. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and are on point when it comes to customer service. 2ND the theater isnt packed. I have been to quite a few movies here. And I have never had a time when I felt crowded here. 3rd the food here is pretty good. They have pizza, burgers, wraps and salads, plus their corn bites are on point. 4th the rewards program here is great. I have gotten a free movie ticket and money towards my concession. The bad, they no longer have a sweet tea on fountain. They used to have brewed sweet tea, but their contract with coke made them take it out. They used to have really good "Irish Nachos" but that was taken off the menu. Lastly, its not the cleanest place and could use a bit more love.

I remember this theater when it was the Galaxy. I have a lot of memories at this theater. It was originally owned by Santikos and then taken over by regal before Santikos bought it back and renamed it the Rialto. It was one of the first of the Santikos brothers comeback in the SA movie scene. It was also one of the first theaters in SA where you could order food and drinks from waiters in the seats. Pros: Small theater. Never too crowded. Clean, well-kept, and convenient. Food can be ordered in the theater. Tables in front of seats to hold your food and drinks. Seats are relatively new and comfortable. Full Bar. Video Arcade. Cafe. Cons: Tables are a little high...kind of awkward, but they are not an obstruction. Decor is kind of a ghetto Art Deco. But whose paying attention. Food is the same here as the Palladium.

This has to be one of the best movie theaters in San Antonio. The experience was excellent from the food to the actual seating. My usual movie theater is Live Oak but they werent showing the movie I wanted to see so I figured I would give this place a shot. Excellent Decision. To begin with, their internet schedule was on time by 15 minutes so we were that much early to see the movie (10:30 on fandango AND google and 10:15 actual time). Then the nachos were bathed in delicious tasting nacho cheese. To top it off, when I asked for jalapenos, I was given a fair size container like Mexican Restaurants gives for their salsa. It had about 23 slices. Then since we were early, we had to sit right in the middle where now floor lights would stare at us as we watched from a perfect angle. I will be going back!!!!!
