I am a fastpitch softball player and I went to go to the batting cages to practice hitting, lets just start out by saying I left and went to Youngs Dairy Farm (6880 Springfield Xenia Rd, Yellow Springs, OH 45387). I went there and I noticed in the fastpitch machine the balls were coming in significantly low. Which I am supposed to try to atleast go for them to an extent, however these were at my ankles. Then they started coming dangerously inside. To where if I didnt move my ankles would be getting hit with 50 mph balls. Which I have been hit before so it may not be as a surprise for me but for someone just coming to tryout that specific batting cage it could be terrifyingly dangerous. I told two employees and waited about 15 minutes for someone to help fix the machine however no one showed. It was quite busy but I was still disappointed in the lack of urgency. Hope to sometime return but I will not be returning in the near future unfortunately.

The Magic Castle in Dayton / Kettering plays adult music. Theres no cussing in the songs, but a country music song with sexual innuendos was playing. You could hear it clearly when you used the restroom. Why would a place geared towards children play adult music? Never going here again unless they play kids music ONLY. Also, if you dont get the most expensive birthday party package, you get no attention from the staff. They ignore you unless you go downstairs to order something. The ONLY reason why I am giving it two stars instead of ONE, is because it COULD be worse. Also, there were children in the play area (the slides / playground) that were pushing and shoving past smaller kids. A staff member should watch this area more closely, and ban kids that act this way (maybe give them one warning first).

Was told that our group of 6 people was too large to sit in the dining room area. So they moved us up stair where our kids ranging from 2-7 have to go up and down the stairs to get drinks, or visit with the rest of our party. I would understand if the place was packed but it was far from it. The soft play area smells like urine, and the entire place is extremely dated. My kids have a good time and thats the only reason they received 2 stars.

I highly recommend a Magic Castle birthday party to anyone with kids. The staff was so organized and made things so easy. Our party host, was fantastic to work with. She made sure that all of the kids had fun and knew what to do. She also went above and beyond to make sure everyone had everything that needed. She was so efficient and polite. Our son had a fantastic time with his friends and we didnt have to lift a finger!

Had my first date with my now wife here. So I have some great memories of this place. That was a few years ago. Games are now all broken and they dont seem to put any money into the place. Guess theyre just waiting for the new development to buy them out and build other crap. Sad really. This place was fun for all ages. Im 31 at the time of writing this.

Good God if I never have to come here again it will STILL be too goram soon! The place is loud, chaotic, there is NO way to keep an adequate eye on your children short of tieing them to your hip, and the rutting things the kids get up to in that climbing tower are inexcusable. This place is literally my idea of Hell-On-Earth.

Was with a party and signed up for the text club.As I presented my phone one of the workers in the front was not positive how every he added the funds to the card. I go up to him again because of a broken game and he says before I say anything "what do you want in a mean manor". Not returning again.

The kids alway enjoy coming here and playing in the softplay area. The staff is always pleasant and easy to work with. We have had numerous birthday parties here and everything turns out well. The game prices are higher than other places, but we really dont come here just to play the video games.

Some of the games are out of order but they still continue to let them operate. The prices are reasonable but the place is a little dated. Its a smaller place with a limited choice of games but makes for a quaint evening on a weekday. During the weekends its too crowded.

2 Besties

Magic castle has stuff for the entire family there are games inside for the kids theres batting cages for the older sibling and a mini golf course for the siblings if the parents want to go and hit some golfballs.

Classic arcade mini golf course, lots of fun. Pretty run down, but it didnt prevent my friends and I from enjoying it. Finish golfing before dark, because many of their outside lights dont work.
