Very disappointing for my date and I. the service was not good but its a new restaurant so we understood. The food on the other hand was a joke. We got the BLT salad, Ahi Tuna, and the Buffalo chicken pizza special which our sever recommended. The salad came out looking like someone was prepping to make a salad, two chunks of lettuce on a plate a tea spoon on bacon bits in the corner and a boiled egg on the other corner so presentation had us scratching our head. For one I thought a "BLT salad" would have more than a little bit of bacon bits off to the side and secondly having to try and build my own salad on a plate thats too small is frustrating. My buffalo chicken pizza was mostly all crust with the toppings only in the very middle. At this point we couldnt help but laugh and confirmed our decision not to return here. The ahi tuna was average not worth ordering again. My Main Street mule was good, however the dirty martini was poorly made and looked to be short a few ounces and no olives. Id heard from a few people that this place was great and was excited to take my date there, in retrospect its all hype and the more people I ask about it agree.

First time eating at Main St Public House yesterday evening . Heard good reviews but was highly disappointed in food and service..Walked in no hostess so we walked up to bar no one greeted our party of 4. Hostess finally walked by, looked at us and said nothing. We had to go and ask to be seated, and hostess was less than pleasant. She seemed annoyed. We were finally seated and sat at our table for 20 minutes waiting for someone to attend our table. Finally we had to go back to the hostess and ask for service from there wait staff, again she had an attitude. All the while they had 3 bartenders who saw us sitting there and said not one word. Finally after 25 minutes of waiting our waitress came to our table. She said she was going to get us some water and disappeared for another 10 minutes, came back and took off immediately again without even asking if we were ready to place an order. Food took forever to come out too.well over 45 mins. Mind you it was 5pm and not many people in the restaurant. No excuse for this kind of service. The food needs flavoring. Very Bland!! Calamari had no taste or salt for that matter same for the burger no flavor at all.

Went here for lunch today, they have just opened over the past weekend. The restaurant is very beautiful inside with exposed brick and wood. I love the light fixtures made from saw blades! They did a wonderful job. Huge stage for what I hope will be lots of live music to come. I had the Buffalo/Blue chicken salad which was very good. I would like to see it be a little larger, but thats my only suggestion. Great flavor. Since I was at lunch from work I couldnt drink, but I did look over the draft beer and wine selection and wow, they have a wonderful selection. I will definitely make this a regular lunch spot as its literally a 2 minute walk for me. While I could tell its a new place staff-wise and everyone was a bit stressed and still finding their "groove", I have no doubt this will be a huge success and a great addition to the main street community.

Great experience! My wife and I met the manager, John, outside crossing the street. We were greeted as we walked in by the hostess and seated straight away. Was not busy for a Fri night but Thurs was a busy night. We were brought water immediately followed by a short wait to look over the menu. We ordered and drinks came quickly. I got a River Rat Stout and she got an Orange mix drink. They were both good. Our pub fries came shortly after and they were amazing. Got about halfway through the fries came the main course. She had the margarita pizza and ate the whole thing which is unusual for her. My pub burger was cooked perfect, med. with chili, cheese, bacon and onion. Not a lot of bacon and less onion. But it worked. Ambiance was nice. I really liked it but Im a wood worker as a hobby. I loved the experience.

This bar looks beautiful on the inside. I went in around 10:45 to grab a beer with my spouse and unfortunately the service did not match the decor. As a precursor, this was a casual Thursday and the bar had a very light crowd. The sign at the entrance said "please wait to be seated" and when I asked the 3 employees sitting right next to the sign, the gave me the stink eye and gestured for us to find our own seat. After sitting for a few, I walked up to the bar to order drinks. Behind the bar were 4 more employees. One was counting money, two were chatting, and one was flipping through some pamphlet. After standing for a few minutes with no success on ordering drinks, I decided to take my business down the street to the Whig. However, I would like to come back as this place definitely seems to have potential.

This place is pretty good. It has an oddly new feel that just doesnt sit right yet - but it is new so theres that. I had the feeling it was either not fancy enough or a little too fancy, I dont know. That being said, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was quite good - I had a pizza and it was solid. The waiter tried to tell me something about how they have some sort of special pizza oven that is the only one in the area but it seems like every place that serves pizza says that so I took that with a grain of salt. If the City of Columbia lays off their plan to start running the parking meters at all hours, Ill definitely go back.

My husband and I had dinner at your restaurant last night, Jan 17. I was impressed upon entering on how nice and well laid out everything was. I was extremely disappointed in our meal. It was terrible. I had the Margarita pizza and my husband had the Burger w/chili. My pizza was so overcooked that it was completely dried out with burnt places on the top. I know NY Pizza and this wasnt one. My husbands Burger was also overcooked. I realize this is a new restaurant but by now your food should be better than what we had. We wont be eating there again. Hopefully your chef will learn how to NOT overcook the food.

Im really sad to say this was the worst experience Ive had in Columbia. I was in last week and attempted to sit at the bar. The bartender ignored me numerous times. I sat at the end and obviously they think they dont have to serve guest there. The bald bartender cut up with servers and took shots and never acknowledge me. The servers stood in the corner and continually talked bad about thier own guests. This is not away to keep guest happy. I finally got up and left. It was upsetting bc Ive heard so much praise about your establishment. Highly disappointed
