Wow, just wow. I have always driven 15 minutes longer to get to Patriot Place Showcase cinemas since the Attleboro Showcase was so run down, the seats were old, just the place felt run down. However, now after they completely revamped the whole place, I prefer to come here rather than Patriot Places Showcase. The seats are automatic recliners(very comfy too btw) the concession stand has so many more options now, even has a limited bar serving alcoholic drinks! The place looks brand new and its showing, a Saturday night now has so many more people coming out then before. The screens looks like they have been updated and the projectors too, movies havent looked this good since I went to Jordans IMAX(IMAX is still worlds better than anything).
The Web Site Ticketing is TERRIBLE !!!! - I was charged twice after not knowing if I had even received my show choices or not. No email notification within 2 hours. (I waited two hours before I tried again) When trying to call the local number for the theater I received nothing but automation and no ability to get out of the menu without purchasing a ticket. This is the most reprehensible customer service experience ever... This included the telemarketers calling during dinner. Shame on you Showcase Amusements. My issue is still not resolved. Im hoping for a better solution tomorrow at the theater. Extremely disappointing I cant just call to resolve. I didnt even want to place a single star as a review, but it is required to post.
One of my favorite theaters for one sole reason: Its never crowded. To be brutally honest I dont know how they manage to stay in business, but I dont care because I love seeing a movie in an empty theater. Now, I may be a little exaggerative. There will always be some people there. Anyway--The Cons: No stadium seating, smaller screens than average, high priced snacks, high ticket price, and in the summer the theaters are always hot. Theyre super cheap with the AC. The Pros: They sell BEER. And other alcoholic beverages. Great parking. The bathrooms are always pretty clean. They have these new premium seats that are pretty sweet. The back part reclines but unfortunately the leg portion does not :(
The upgrades are killer, giant reclining seats, reserved seating, BEER! But their customer service game is lacking, hope its just growing pains, but last night, Wed the 28th of Dec 2016 was a disaster. HUGE lines at concession stand, floors covered in trash, bathroom trash cans over flowing. Tough night for sure. Wont stop us from frequenting this nice new theater. Edit 6/21/2017: They jacked up the prices, maybe to compensate for the fewer seats, but, reclining and pre-purchase not enough to bring me in at $12.
Will never come here again...the XLR is only the back row...and its only a side table and a little bigger chair...should have known with the cheap price. If the ticket agent doesnt have the hand held device you will be told to get in line which defeats the purpose and when you complain to a supervisor they ask: "what do you want me to do about it?" I wont be back...skip it go to Providence or Patriots place and get better treatment.
As for Showcase Cinemas. I think there doing a very good job with there updates there doing. The new seating is excellent. I am giving them only 2 stars because they offer active military a discount which is very nice, but, NOT a 20 year veteran with a military ID card. My advice is give any veteran with active or retired ID card.
Most movie theaters have seats that disagree with my body, especially for a long movie. Not this theater! I can watch a long movie here and still be able to get up and walk easily afterwards. Im not squirmy and uncomfortable through the entire film. This is my top choice of theaters. No problems seeing screen.
Their renovations are awesome. Comfy, cushy, reclining seats with enough leg space for big guys like me. Great snack bar and sound system too. Typical movie prices for snack food, but the tickets were only $11.50 which is cheap considering the incredible seating and renovations. Would definitely go again!
The first 2 rows of seating are horrible! Too close to the screen and if your in an end seat its even worse. Reserve your seats early because once the upper middle seats are gone, having a big comfy reclining chair to sit in doesnt help if your viewing angle stinks.
Manager working there on Sunday was extremely nice and cute. He thought I was waiting too long for the food I ordered so he refunded me. I was ok with waiting because the kid taking the order said 10min. It just goes to show how attentive the manager is.,
Really need a better system i bought tickets thru aaa and been to this theater 4 times and the movie im trying to see keeps getting sold out even tho the automated system says their is seats so i keep wasting gas just to keep getting turned around
Love this theater! The reclining seats are so comfy. Definitely my favorite theater by far because it is less crowded than all the others. Definitely buy the tickets ahead of time because its all select seating and the theaters arent that big.
The new seats and drinks are awesome. The one thing i absolutely hate is the assigned seating. When i watch a movie i should be able to sit where ever i want. We are adults, not in kindergarten. Its the dumbest idea i have ever heard of.
This theater is a bit dated but it gets the job done. Management is very accommodating as I was comped a ticket after technical difficulties. Digital projection upgrade was great, and the sound is better than at the Foxboro Showcase.
Seats were nice & comfy. Only down side is they have the volume so loud for the movie we had to move our seats. Will wear ear plugs next time. I do have over sensitive hearing, but even the person I was with said it was to loud.
Love what showcase has done with the place. Prices for a movie are still reasonable. Way better than AMC Theaters any day especially now that they have the same type of recliners. Best place to see a movie in a theater.
This theater has improved greatly since I was last here. The chairs are comfortable, spacious, and reclinable. It seems newly remodeled. I sort of like, and hate that everything is assigned seats. But still fantastic.
Though this theater was built just before the move to stadium seating it still provides an enjoyable movie viewing experience and seldom sells out so you can usually get into whatever movie youre looking for
Wow, the seats here are fantastic. Power reclining seats with foot rests, very nice. They also serve beer. So, the most comfortable seats in any cinema I have been to and beer, whats not to love?
New comfortable reclining seats and beer on tap! They dont jack the prices up either like other cinemas do for " the good seats". Still only 9 bucks for a movie ticket. Love this place.
The new seating features are great, as well as the opportunity to purchase alcoholic drinks. However, everytime Ive gone here the staff at the food counter is confused and slow.
Great New seating. Comfortable reclining movie seats. Still fairly reasonable ticket pricing. Seating to relax b outside of the theatre. Bathrooms definitely need an upgrade.
Love the comfortable assigned seating, like watching a movie at home in your recliner. Unfortunately, theatres sell out quick, often have to get tickets for later showings.
