This is a beautiful place, but I felt at every turn that I was being gouged. There was no mention of the "fast lane" online when I bought my tickets, but when we arrived (from Athens, Georgia, a music town that does NONE of these things), I found that for $10 EACH we could stand in the line that would be admitted first to the general admission show. Okay. Whatever. I had travelled three and a half hours, and I stood in the regular line and we were still super close, so it didnt matter. I did order ONE drink... it was $10 dollars... fine, I get that... but it was in a cup the size of one at a water dispenser. You know, charge more... charge $15, but make a DRINK in a cup that will last longer than a few minutes. Its just rather insulting to be handed such a tiny cup. It barely held 10 ice cubes. THEN, my daughter wanted to sit down in a chair. She was told that she could pay $10 more dollars and have a chair, so she came to me for the money. When she went back, she was told that since the demand was now so high, that it would now be $25. If, as a venue, you need to charge extra for every little thing, you should either let people know, or simply charge more for a ticket. Nickel and diming at the last minute makes you look like a carnival on the side of the road. I was not impressed.

The Mac Miller concert was great and I had a great time, but after the show we were hanging and talking with one of Macs childhood friends outside by the tour bus and he said he was going to get Mac from the green room to come outside and meet us and sign autographs well as soon as he said that and went inside security said we had to leave we were on private property well we were actually on the sidewalk which is owned by the city and we had been standing there talking for 30 minutes and all of the sudden when we are possibly getting a chance to meet our favorite artist we are trespassing even when we were entering the Fillmore going through security the ushers and guards were disrespectful they got mad at a diabetic kid for bringing in his insulin pump. well to add to the story our phones died and we needed to call a cab and when we asked the guards nicely to use their phone one guard replied hell no you guys wasted your batterys during the show your out of luck luckily one guy was nice enough to let us use his phone. My suggestions to the Fillmore get new security.

Going to the Jeezy concert tonight and my boyfriend bought the tickets on Groupon. When reading the tickets are VIP but standing, called the venue to get a hold of a manager to see if there was anything we could do to upgrade to the VIP sitting. No one picks up the phone but the message states that you can leave your contact info or for instant reply you can email Sharie and will get back to you, this was Monday that we emailed her; have not received an email yet and today is the event. I know one thing there management is not on point. Will leave another review on the concert and venue after. So after going to this concert to see Jeezy, I can say that this venue was very enjoyable, nice crowd and not ratchet. The VIP standing was not bad because there were seats that wasnt taken. But the drinks were over priced and they didnt have my Crown Royal apple, nor did they have Remy. And they only had plain ciroc. But all in all had a great time! I give the venue a 5 but as far as getting a hold of the manager she still never emailed my boyfriend.

I have to say I like a lot of aspects of these new music venues that are popping up all over the country. They are attractive, very safe, incredible sound systems, ,ect. This one has enormous bathrooms[I asked my friend and she confirmed about the gals one] that are not ratty. How many places can you say that about? The Fillmore has a ton of folks I want to see, but unfortunately they are always week day shows and those are tough for out of town folks like my self to attend on "school days". I really wanted to see St. Vincent again, so I took a day vacation. I didnt like the drink prices. I know they are trying to pay for this beautiful facility, but I feel they are shooting themselves in the foot. $10+ beers dont help the bartenders at tip time either. This is also the trend at these new slick clubs, expensive drinks. If they were cheaper, I would have ordered more. Everyone I went with nursed one the whole night..... I cant wait to go back, but not for the booze.....

Worst venue Ive ever been to! Went to see excision. The staff is horrible, rude and very disrespectful! Expecially the bald head security guy and the manager over them named Peter I believe it was. They should be jobless for not handling a situation that could have been avoided if they would listen to the paying customer who pays their salaries in a professional and effective manner. Needless to say I will be talking to the venue owner, making some complaints and trying to get my money back. Not only that but the prices for anything are ridiculous, there is no good seating, hardly any room when theyve packed people in the little tiny place like sardines. My friends nor myself will return to any type of event at the fillmore again. We will go elsewhere with our business. Thanks for a horrible bday guys!

VIP Ripoff- Dont bother with the VIP tickets. Every seat or standing spot is restricted view. If there is not a post blocking some portion of the stage, the speakers that are hanging down (to about chest level) are blocking a portion of the stage. The will sell you a seat in the VIP section once you get in, but all are obstructed views except for the ones in the center of the venue. Thats only an additional $80 per seat (for Collective Soul). So you pay to get in, for the VIP standing room for an obstructed view, then an additional charge for a seat. The venue seems to be milking concert goers for every buck they can. $5 water and $10 draft beer, yay! Save your money, buy the GA seats, and plan to stand all evening. The show was excellent, once we got over the feeling of being ripped off.

5 stars from me, as well as anyone else that truly knows this place and the staff who have made it THE best live music venue in Charlotte. Ive played Fillmore about twice a year since it opened, and am proud and humbled to say that our Face-2-Face tribute show was the first tribute to sell it out, with nearly 200 over capacity. This wasnt by accident. Top of the line marketing and promotions, amazing sounding venue, incredible lighting... its spacious, theres not a bad spot in the place. Great and friendly bartenders/security/management, and most of all the people are all there to have a good time and always rave about it. The Fillmore has a loyal following, and built it up the right way. Ill keep coming back as a patron, whether my band plays there or not. :-) Cheers! Mike S.
