The rooms were so outdated it had a window unit a/c with gaps around it, spiders and no telling how old the linens were. The headboard was tied to the wall, the light fixtures were hanging, the sheetrock was stained with watermarks. I would not trust the rooms with my family. The website is very deceiving, the golf course was ok for the amateur with novice clubs, the sand traps should not be called sand traps, the rock traps were... Well I did manage to find the manager, Matt at the time im sure if the owners make a surprise visit and smell the pot and alcohol he will be back at Walmart. Any way it was very disappointing because of the couple of reviews we read we thought we would try it. Here is the kicker, why I have the anger, obvious friends walked in paying cash, he charged them half price and the money did not go into the cash drawer, maybe he owns it but I doubt it. Shaddy place!

No complaints from us ! Not too often you arrive at your hotel .... Just got out of our car and under the canopy we were greeted by name .... by the owner/manager/ all around great guy ... Matt ! Made us feel like family . Very personable yet professional. We were taken back by his friendly disposition and easy conversation. Though neither of us are golfers, Matt took the time to talk to us about ... Us ! We will be back to stay / visit the next time we are in the area ... Hopefully next year ! I cant forget to mention Bobbi ... Shes an amazing cook and very kind, friendly gal . She has found her calling ... Hospitality ! She and Matt make an awesome team ! Our group, "The Wild Bunch" (24 of us) are the longest running american group that visits DNG&H yearly for 4 days each April. We just concluded our 27th year. We had an awesome time as usual thanks to a wonderful staff. New ownership is coming in w/ the wrecking ball and a year from know expect a wonderful new resort and a tremendous amount of work completed on what is already a fine golf course. These folks are dead serious about wanting to make this work. We will be back for many years to come. You like golf, good food, friendly people who cater to your needs then make a reservation. Tell Bo you are a friend of the Wild Bunch and he will take care of your needs.

Awesome place to stay, wish wed discovered it sooner! Definitely a hidden jewel. Older hotel with very clean nice rooms makes it very "Old Florida" feel without being old or run down. Super manager(Matt) really goes all out for you. Made us feel so welcome. He went down to our room before we checked in and turned on the heat and lights and tv for us! It so nice to feel cared about by someone in a customer service position. its rare nowadays. Clean, quiet safe place to stay. Pet friendly without pet odor. They really do a terrific job cleaning. Everything about this place is great. The pool.. The mineral pool... The rooms are spacious and clean. They serve breakfast in the mornings instead of just saying they do! It comfy. Water pressure in the shower is great. Worth the money. They also have a bar and grill in case you need a drink or food. My family stayed last weekend and we had a blast! The service is great. We met a very friendly lady that worked there but I didnt catch her name. She was soooo polite!! We plan to stay again soon!!

I stay every time Im in the Dothan area. Rooms are always clean, the driving range and course are well maintained. There is a full bar next to the pro shop and best of all, the entire staff is the epitome of Southern Hospitality. I can afford to stay in any hotel that I choose, but after one visit, I choose to stay here. Matt and Paul will take care of you like family....plus theres a big outdoor pool and a indoor hot mineral pool. Stay here once and you will be back.....

Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel has been under new ownership since December 2012. The new owners are taking care of the golf course and remodeling the hotel. The facility is phenomenal. This is one of the best course layouts you can play anywhere at any price. They have a fantastic facebook page which is showing their progress as they make changes to the facility. Check it out.

Clean rooms, friendly staff! They have breakfast in the morning. A great stop for those headed to Panama City Beach. We left for the beach a day early and could not find a single night room closer to the beach that was not $200 or more. Luckily we found this place! Only an hour and a half away and $50 for a night! This will be a recurring stay for future trips.

Check in was easy and quick. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the time they opened the door for us to the time we left. Rooms were clean and accommodating. Only downfall was the bed was very old and the springs popped Everytime you moved. Updates of beds need to be made. I would and will definitely stay here again.

Older rooms etc but an amazing set up, golf course, golf shop, lounge etc etc. Great staff and well worth the coupon rate of $45 a night!! Highly recommended ! Mini frig and micro in room, olympic size pool, kiddie pool, laundry room and a beautiful country like setting. You do not have to be a golfer to enjoy this place!

Our favorite getaway. Short driving distance to town for activities but peaceful when u get here. Be sure to visit the mineral pool. I am not a golfer but the couse is beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Renovated and very clean. Always happy to be here

Rooms are being updated and looking good. They have an indoor heated mineral pool year round as well as a big outside pool. There is a bar and even a pretty large golfing course. And the man who runs the place is really cool. He does very well with handling guests.

It was great! Matt was terrific! The room was clean. We didnt get to partake in the pools due to time but they sure looked inviting! We think the indoor pool is a mineral pool! Anyway, we highly recommend them and the price is great too!!
