I absolutely LOVE this theater. I went occasionally when it was a dollar movie house, but have made it my Local Theater of Choice since it made the switch to assigned seating. The reclining armchairs are fantastically comfy and you can quickly raise the armrest in the center for some cuddling during the movie. The assigned seating, though unusual when I first went, quickly became a looked-for feature in my theater experience. I love that I can choose my seats ahead of time and have them waiting for me no matter what time I arrive at the movie. Im often running late so not getting the crappiest seat in the theater if I arrive during previews is something Id gladly pay to get. Almost as good as the seating arrangement is the food. The theater offers a fantastic menu of traditional theater snacks and actual restaurant-level food choices. The margarita pizza is fantastic, as is the chicken tahini salad. The truffle fries are my new favorite movie snack. There are a few eccentricities about the theater I dont like (mainly how the theater will postpone posting show times for big movies the week after the movie opens so it can know how many screens it wants to show the movie on), however those are heavily outweighed by all the great features. I recommend this to anyone who asks about movies. Definitely worth your time and money.

Im not impressed... I had read comments about this being the "best theater in Charlotte." Where?? Im confused at how standing in a long line for food, only to be given a buzzer and told they do not deliver to the seats because they dont want to be a "distraction." HOWEVER, when they buzz you, they come and meet you at the theater door when your food is ready...thereby, YOU ended up being a distraction anyways because you have to leave the theater to pick up your food, and on top of that, miss parts of the movie in the process. Although the seats are comfortable, the food was horrid! I had the salmon street tacos. They were so bad, I couldnt finish them. I was hungry and had a hard time eating just one of three...literally had to force myself to swallow. I did like the brussel sprouts though...I should have stopped there. To top it off, my cashier at the food counter had very little people skills and was kind of short with me. Needless to say, I wont be returning. If you want to be served good food while at the movies, try Cinnebar at the Arboretum. If youre looking for comfy seats w a bar, try AMC on South Blvd. Unfortunately, I havent found a place that offers both...and Cinemark missed the mark on offering the best of both worlds. I dont like giving bad reviews, but my hopes were up so high...this place is overrated.

Worst movie experience ever. I wanted to try some place new that had food without uptown parking prices. I bought the tickets on their website and when I got there the food was crazy expensive. I think it was 10 for chicken fingers (only the 4 chicken) 3 for fries and 5 for a soda. Thats almost 20 for one person at a theater. After this we went to our seats, which were already occupied. We compared tickets and they were both legit. Then a third group comes up with the same seat assignment. They had triple booked the seats. The assistant? manager was freaking out when I told her this and I was very calm while talking to her. She wasnt screaming just kept asking why its happening to her and putting her face in her hands. They offered me and my date seats on opposite sides of the theater or I could wait an hour for another showing. I just got my money and left. What annoyed me the most was that this had been happening all week they said and no one has attempted to fix it. First time and last time there.

The facility itself is o-k. So one star is warranted...HOWEVER, Thats about where the pluses end. If you want food, you better show up and hour early because you will wait, and wait, aaaaaand wait. There was one employee, I think he may have even been a manager, Justin, light-skin black guy, had zero skills when it comes to interacting with people. I dont recall the exact conversation as its been a few weeks but he was completely incompetent and treated me like something other than a paying customer, almost like sarcastic in a weird way and mocking me in front of my date. Had I not been on a date with a lovely lady I might have snapped and in turn gave him a piece of my mind. Cinemark - Justin - fix this!

We were shooting for dinner and a movie and my initial thought was... Popcorn and "typical" movie food? I was pleasantly surprised when the flat read pizza I ordered as fantastic (relatively speaking)! The big recliners were very comfortable for the 6ft+ guy and its nice to lift up the middle arm rest to move in closer to your significant other... cozy to say the least. The accoustics were great and the staff was very friendly. Quick tip, if your chair doesnt recline... check the plug in-between the seats! Easy fix, but they should have a cover of some kind to avoid the disconnection... people step on the outlets.

Great place to see a movie. Especially recommend going at matinee time (before 5), to save a few dollars. Chairs are super comfy and each seat has plenty of space so you arent crammed next to other people. The food is okay, but dont go expecting amazing fare. This is not one of those places where they serve you at your seat; here you order and they give you a disc that flashes to tell you when your food is ready to pick up. Altogether, going at a matinee hour, it was a fabulous and comfortable way to watch a movie for $8.

They serve alcohol(local beer, and wine selection)which is a plus. They also serve quick eats like chicken tenders, fries, hotdogs, and salads with the freshest greens. Very polite staff, always willing to help. The assigned seating makes it easy to get to your seat and not have to worry about your particular movie selling out. You can reserve your tickets online or through the Cinemark app. Never had a bad experience with this company under old management (Carolina Cinemas), or new management(Cinemark Movie Bistro).

The last three times Ive gone to this theater Ive either had to sit on the opposite end of the theater from my family or leave without seeing a movie because of their reserved seating policy. Someone who has reserved a seat can come in 20 minutes after the movie has started and sit in a prime spot while those who arrived ahead of time are split up or forced to sit in the front row. Only go if youve ordered tickets online and reserved seats far ahead of time.

Love this theater! Great atmosphere awesome couches to sit on, relax and watch movies. I movie hop all the time and they are really cool about it, as long as I keep buying their food. Only reason why I didnt give them 5 stars is that their food is a little pricey compared to the amount that you get. Other than that, awesome beer and wine selection and there Carolina fries are the shitz.

Hands down best theater in Charlotte. I have made this my home theater and go nowhere else. Food is great, beer selection is great, seats are AMAZING, love that I can reserve my seat and not have to fight for a good seat (especially as there are far fewer seats here since they are so big and comfy). I cannot say enough positive things about this theater!
