It really deserves 2.5 stars, but I will be generous because it is quiet and not located in a bad neighborhood. I have stayed 1000 nights over the last 7 years among two hotel chains across the Southeast which makes me a premiere member and very knowledgeable of what a great hotel is and what even a good value is. The good: Quiet location near everything in West Broward or North Miami, if you need that location. If you do not then there are many other places I would rather stay. Nice landscaping and plenty of parking since occupancy was at best 70%. The bad: Poor customer service. Having never stayed here before and needing this unique location, called in four days prior to stay with a 25% off hotel coupon. They immediately stated they did not honor the coupon. After a further inquiry they stated they had 40+ empty rooms for my date, but had to call the day before to reserve. Called the day before, and before I mentioned the coupon they stated they had rooms, then when I mentioned the coupon they were sold out. Then I asked them how they sold 40 rooms in just a few days they came back with a room, but tried to bait and switch to a higher price. Finally I told them that if I could not get the rate I would simply stay at my home just a little over an hour away. What an aggravating experience to simply reserve a room at $90/night which is about what its worth. Parking lot was empty too. Bathrooms are from the 1980s and look like they havent been cleaned since the 1990s. I hope they dont have bed bugs. A helpful hint is try not to hustle your guests for every last nickle and forget about the South Florida attitude. Reality is your hotel is not as good as you think it is. I normally stay in nicer places at slightly higher rates. Two star service, so you are better to avoid the staff and do business off site.

Ive played golf at Grand Palms Golf Club a number of times with a good friend, including just recently. Its easy to get to just off of I-75 to the west from the Pines Blvd exit. Theres a hotel on the property as well as tennis courts... neither of which Ive experienced unfortunately. Once on the property you can either valet your vehicle or self park not too far away. Grand Palms has three 9-hole courses to choose from - Grand, Royal and Sabal. You can technically play them in the order youd like. The driving range lets you launch balls into a large lake which is unique. And the putting green is a nice size, albeit un-impressive. The course isnt exactly pristine. The tee boxes are beat up and in need of some care. The greens are especially in need of some care. The course in general doesnt have all that much water, but on the holes where there is water, I of course find a way to give up a ball or two to the bottom of it... because Im a magnet for water. The pace of play is typically pretty good. Its not often you get stuck behind some sluggish groups ahead of you. And finally the beverage cart made an appearance a couple of times which was enough. Inside the restaurant on site youll find a average bar - nothing impressive, though not bad. Overall a nice course to enjoy a casual round of golf with family and/or friends. You may even want to use this course as a practice course if youre still learning and improving your game (like I am).

The true reality is that the Grand Palms Golf & CC is outdated; this is an old Holiday Inn that was remodeled about 20 years ago and has not been updated. The hotel is very outdated; they still have Tube TVs, mildew in the walls, bathroom tiles that are falling, window AC units, old carpet, etc. The location is great and is located in beautiful Pembroke Pines with easy access to I-75, numerous shops and restaurants. The resort has access to a deplorable set of tennis courts and a run-down gym. As for the Golf Course, they have 27 very challenging holes that are in very poor condition, the course does not drain very well and being close to the everglades makes it a very muddy playing conditions. The greens are very slow, bunkers have little sand and full of rocks, the tee boxes are unleveled and are not mowed frequently, the carts paths are either full of pot holes or poor patched asphalt work. The service at the restaurant, golf course and hotel is very poor; they seem to have a "What do you want" attitude. In general the facilities are run-down and outdated, I stayed at the property earlier this year and will stay at another property the next time I am in South Florida.

This was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in. In the room 10 sec and I had to run down the room service attendant who was 2 rooms down and let her know that my top sheet and blanket were stained and that I would be needing all new linens. She came to see in disbelief before she gave us new linens. Then we closed the door and found a very big roach on his back in a pile of crumbs. Which means she did not just clean our room. All she did was change the beds (kinda). Later that night we discovered that they only gave us 2 sets of towels and there was 4 of us checked in. I sent my son to the front desk, because they wouldnt answer the phone, to ask for 2 more sets and she refused because she said we only checked in for 2. Needless to say we Never got the other sets. The water that came from the sink was YELLOW so we brushed our teeth with bottled water. The next morning when we went to shower the bathtub was filthy and rusty. No one had cleaned that tub in days if not weeks. This place should be DEMOLISHED! Two thumbs Down!

This hotel i very old we have stayed there many times because of the location. It looks like an old holiday inn in side the rooms the tile work and fixtures are from the 70s the AC was so loud woke us up at 452 a.m. turned it down and it kept revving up like we had a small plane in our room turned it off and it was too hot; they had a ceiling fan in the room. couldnt enjoy the TV because it was pixielated I spoke with the maintenance man a white male and he was rude basically told me it was the cable service so i asked him if he can notify the provider he just walked away. This place is too over priced for what you get. The positives are the location of the hotel, the bed was comfortable and Linda in the restaurant is a sweetheart. She is the reason we keep returning to your hotel.
