WHERE; 12/25/15 today at Regal Cinema in Newnan, Ga. Me and my family 2 adults & 2 kids were escorted out by 2 police officers one named Milam and the GM Samuel Cooper about 4pm. REASON; This review is being posted due the the corporate phone number that the GM Samuel Cooper gave me not being able to get through to nor even being able to leave a messege. The GM Samuel Cooper said that "whomever files a complaint about threats of viloence first then the other party will be escorted out." ACTION; A lady and her teenage daughter repeatedly kick my 9yr old daughters chair. As a parent I had to make a decision, to disturb all the other movie goers experience because we couldnt move anywhere else (StarWars) or politely ask the parents to stop. Well, I calmly asked both parents if they would stop and that my daughters head is being rocked back and forth because of it, well the mom began screaming and got in my face, using suggestive racial slurs and threats towards my family. Me nor my fam reacted back after her tirade however the mom left and filed a complaint against us instead to the GM Samuel Cooper and the 2 officers. Her complaint was a complete false accusation where she stated I physically assaulted her. My family was embarrassed in front of a hundred or people in the hallway while the 2 officers stood against the opposing wall and the GM Samuel Cooper stated the unpleasant and criminal language I was being accused of while people passed and my children were in tears. I rarely, actually have never been one to "pull the race card" as they say. This, was however clearly targeted at my family (African americans) being punished because the Caucasian American family firmly requested to the GM of regal in ashley park with the womens wild accusation (by the way her husband was so embassed by her he was nowhere to be seen) This disgusted my family and my wife as we had to prepare for the very difficult discussion with our distraught children when we returned home. STOOD MY GROUND; After speaking with the GM Samuel Cooper, I intelligently conveyed to him what really happened and why the other party should be escorted out. After I spoke to him at the refund booth, GM Samuel Cooper offered more incetives to keep me from complaining to corporate. Thats why I would not except a different show time and free tickets from him after he knew that I was in the right and he repeatedly backtracked such as saying "the lady did not file complaint in front of the officers, but just in front of himself" and follow by other excuses why we were escorted out by officers. I told GM Samuel Cooper he shouldve immediately spoke about such allege acts or disturbances somewhere privately and that both parties shouldve been escorted out by officers. I personaly had to escort the GM Samuel Cooper to the refund booth while the 2 officers and my fam tailed behind and I had repeatedly asked for GM Samuel Cooper to refrain from speaking any further about such things against my family. What an embarrassment! Officer Milam was professional and polite and stated, that "if a crime was commited, it would have been a different outcome therefore no crime was commited because no crime was made besides the false accusations by this woman and her wild imagination. This was an internal decision by regal cinemas manager Sam Cooper to remove our family and noone else.

Today (July 4), we checked out the new and supposedly improved Regal at Ashley Park, and left less than impressed. They downsized the seating capacity to add reclining chairs, which provided a decent seat, but in reality no better or worse than good theater seating. The major rub I have is the policy of "reserved" seating. When you purchase a ticket at the box office, it takes twice as long to process due to selection of available seats. This is not a Bruce Springsteen or Taylor Swift concert; it is just a movie. You buy your ticket, walk in, purchase overpriced concessions, and proceed to your movie. It is not rocket science. If there are 100 seats, the theater sells up to 100 tickets. Everyone that purchased a ticket has a seat. Again, not rocket science. Having to reserve your seat is overkill, and I, for one, was not impressed enough to put up with the aggravation. My movie money will be spent from now on at the NCG, where you do not have assigned seats, and although their concessions are overpriced, they do give you free refills.

My husband and I love going to the movies. We live only 5 minutes from Regal so we normally go there. But every time we have been lately not one of the butter dispensers work. There is a total of 4. I even asked someone on 12/25 if they could look at them. Nothing. I am not sure why you can not get these working. Also would be nice to have the different salts out as well. We LOVE NCG in Sharpsburg because you can get your own refill AND they have plenty of butter dispensers that WORK. Guess we will have to make that our new place for movies. I have had people tell me how much they prefer NCG over Regal. Maybe Regal needs to take a look at their concession area. If you can upgrade your seating you can update the concession. You have all that space at the counter that is not being used. Never more than 2 people are waiting on the customers. Hopefully the next time we go if we go things will be different.

This used to be my favorite theater in Fayette or Coweta when it first opened. It smells less like a nursing home on the inside than the Carmike down the street. I like the new seats but I dont like the you have to pick seats prior to entering the theater when using the kiosk. I also dont like that you cant leave a single seat gap between you and the people next to you when making your selection. No offense to my fellow man but I dont want to sit right next to yall if I dont have to. If the theater is full then fine. Thats normal. What if the seat malfunctions? Now I cant move to one that works because my seat is assigned. (this happened BTW). Good idea. Flawed execution. Also when NCG is so close by, less expensive and with bottomless refills on concessions, its going to take more than comfy seats to get me in this theater again. NCG is my new favorite.

I am very sorry, but as I was reading through the reviews and happened to stumble upon one sent some six months ago from J (that is all I will list so as not to embarrass anyone or anger anyone) - I must say that, yes, you were well within your rights to complain and to bring the events that happened to the attention of the manager. However, please, please, when you state that you began to intelligently explain your situation, make certain that you use spell check or have someone else proofread for you. It is hard to take anyone seriously when every other word or sentence is fractured with misspelled words and/or the lack of or incorrect punctuation. Sorry, just had to say that! Feel better now and hope your movie-going experiences are much, much better in the future.

Had large leather reclining seats, which are nice but halve the capacity for each theater. Terrible execution of "assigned" seating - we moved by one row to sit with friends because they were on two rows when we checked in, and no one even attempted to let us know that we HAD to sit in the seats we choose at the door. Other customers were very rude at "not getting the seat I paid for" even though the difference was small. On previous visits family has had people pull similar stunts on them, so it didnt seem like the assignments actually mattered. A little proactive courtesy on the part of theater staff, instead of standing around in the lobby doing nothing, would help matters immensely.
