used to come here while attending Cal Poly Pomona. It was an affordable 18-hole course on my Egineering student budget. I played here last summer and found it incredibly slow (5+ hr rnd) with a select korean culture clientele. I try to be pleasant, but have consistently had negative experiences with this culture at other golf courses also. They just seem to be abrasive and inconsiderate. It seems to be the same at Mountain Meadows and most San Gabriel valley courses. Ive played a few times with groups of koreans as a "single" player, but cant say I had a single decent experience with them. My best friend was a Japanese-American who fought in the Korean war, among other ethnic friends I have, so I dont think Im being ethnocentric. Ill probably stick to playing in OC and beach courses more. There seems to be many more people playing in the recent years, which in-turn may be causing some on-course consternation among golfers, or Im just getting set in my ways...

Made a tee time on GolfNow for 3 people. Showed up with 3 people. Somehow in GolfNow or diamond bars system it showed 4 golfers. Golfed with 3 no problem, the guy in the pro shop never said hey wheres the 4th nothing. 2 weeks later golf now lets me know that Im being charged for the missed tee time. When I called diamond bar to dispute it the manager JOE (a d**k) said that theres no way they can reverse it bc its GolfNow policy (spoke with GolfNow and thats not their policy). JOE says thats how every golf course in America operates (GolfNow said thats not true, they get plenty of courses that allow for a reversal of a charge, ESPECIALLY if 3 of 4 show up). Moral of the story is JOE the manager of the pro shop over at diamond bar golf course is pretty unfriendly and a d**k.

May be due to the Monday playing, I never saw the front group. It was so............o fast play. Took me only 4 hours. On the other hand, there were so much construction/repairing working going on. First and last greens were under construction, and one of long hole(par 5) ended with a middle hole(par 4). But overall the thing I like the most was the Green. Down hill putting was very fast and the side way putting was fun to read. Oh, one more, I noticed the green was aerified two different time. All the pin position we played were very good condition, and the other half of greens were still under aerifying condition. I think this is very considerable way of honoring golfers.

High compliments to Brad and the staff at Diamond Bar. The course is in good to great shape. The greens are getting a little bumpy because the numbers of players and not fixing divots- The only discouraging thing that I can say is TOO SLOW! 5 1/2 hrs and we were on the heels of the group ahead and the group behind us was on our heels. We teed off at 6:30 right on time and so slow- we couldnt get the groups ahead to move at all. The marshall was there and I think he was frustrated too( nice guy by the way) I will definitely come back to Diamond Bar- but I am used to a 3.5 to 4 hour round. You will enjoy the course and the challenge but be prepared for the pace.

Got a Tee time for Saturday and was extremely disappointed in the condition of the golf course. At every tee box there was trash littered. The pace was very SLOW and not once did we ever see the Marshall come around and move people along. The course obviously gives out too many tee times during the hour. We finished our last shot as the sun went down. It took us 6 hours!!! We will not be visiting this golf course again. the only good thing about this golf course was the super sweet gentleman that served us our lunch before our tee time.

This course is great for beginners and those who enjoy golfing without all of the hoopla. You will find a lot of slow players here so keep that in mind. Greens were well maintained. There were some divots in the putting areas that appeared like somebody decided to use an iron on the grass for great effect. But like I said earlier, expect to see this kind of behavior from the local kids... and by kids I mean all the way up to 50 years old. The bar area seemed dated and smelled like an attic... dusty.

Nice course - good layout with some challenging holes and course in good shape. However, plan on being there the ENTIRE day. Played mid-week and it took just shy of 6 hours to get through the round. Very, very, very, very slow play is the theme of the day. Ethnicity known for slow play dominates this course and the end result is 6 hour rounds. Decent course but would never play here again because of the pace. Cannot begin to imagine what weekends would be like at this course.

The course is fun, challenging and a great price. The problem I have with this course is that even though I have had the 5 am tee time the last couple times ive played, we still come to the 10th hole and have to wait. The last time we even called ahead and still came up to a walking foursome on the 10th tee and another foursome on the 10th green. Why get the first tee time of the day if your still going to be backed up on the turn? The course would get 5 stars if they could speed up play.

Greens were very unkempt - very bumpy and uneven. Looked like they hadnt been mowed a few days and not rolled in a long time. Could not hold a line for more than 2 feet on any green. Very frustrating. Your policy of 5 -somes is counter-productive to pace of play. 5 1/2 hours is ridiculous. Also the hold up on the first tee due to over booking and back nine people rounding turn - even more stupid. We had to wait on virtually every shot on every hole. Will not return anytime soon.

This course does not meet expectations of an above average golfer. The range they claim is good is complete crap. You hit off of mats and hit with restricted flight balls, on an elevated area. The course is in horrible condition from the tee boxes, to fairways, to greens. The worse part is it took 5 and 1/2 hours to play and some how they let groups of 5 tee off which is usually unheard of. I would look some where else practically any where before I would ever play here again.

I have been playing this course for many years. About a decade ago American Golf did some major upgrades and the course had been in very good shape. This week I played here for the first time in a couple of months and cannot believe how quickly it has gone down hill. The greens must have a fungus or other disease. The are covered in patches of dead spots. I will give it another try next year, how they get it solved.

This review is for the driving range only. 12 dollars gets you a good amount of golf balls to shank and dribble off the tee, for a beginner like me at least. Great place for people who cant golf a lick to come and not be judged by others. Theyve added speakers to their driving range which plays adult contemporary classics. Nothing like The Carpenters and Air Supply to go with my poor iron game.
