Never come here. Was here on vacation and went to see harry potter. The service was horrendous. They sold tickets for 2 theaters but screwed up and only got 1 reel. The line was outside for a while and we waited there. The owner tried to get people to wait until 1:30. Obviously, no one agreed. He started letting people into the very small lobby area and everyone was cramped. He let in too many people for the showing and let people in the back of the line scoot up to the front, so even though I got there earlier, other people got a better spot in the line. When they opened the doors there was a lot of pushing and shoving (not there fault, I know) and we went to the theater. I saved my seat, and went to get a soda. After waiting for the incompetent cashier in the concessions stand to finally realize I was there, the process went smoothly. I got my straw, and saw that it was the last one. It didnt fit very well in the large soda but no complaints here. I told one of the employees about this and she responded in a hostile tone "So?" I went back to the theater and sat back down. About 15 minutes later, they made an announcement saying that if you left someone else would take your seat. No more problems for a while, but they had to have a five minute intermission to change the reel. Worst theater I have ever been to, but I will give them credit that it was most likely their most hectic night of the year, and maybe this theaters history. I wont visit again, but I would recommend another theater. ANY other theatre

This is a fine family run theater. Its problem is poor equipment. Ill return for convenience reasons, though I do hope they repair or upgrade their equipment. Took my kids to see BRAVE. It showed in one of their two main theaters. All was fine until the climatic fight scene. Advertisements played over the entire scene. Thoughtfully they issued free passes as compensation. The next movie was MADAGASCAR 3, shown in a secondary theater. The sound was horrible throughout the entire movie. Staff was advised, but they did nothing or couldnt do anything. My third movie TED was fine. It was shown in one of the two main theaters. BRAVE showing next door was very loud. Ive experienced this cross sound problem at other theaters too. Our last movie SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD was also shown in a smaller secondary theater. The sound was horrible at times and bad throughout the show. Also, the film was shown in the wrong aspect ratio. People were tall and skinny. This all happened on vacation over a few short days. We kept returning using up free passes from seeing BRAVE. I and or my family saw four movies while only paying for one. As I said, Ill return for convenience reasons. The theater is located near where I stay. I hadnt experienced problems before, but so many in a short time reveals weaknesses in the business. Good luck on your visit.

The Hilton Head Island Middle School Special Education classroom would like to express their appreciation to Lucie Mann and Park Plaza Cinema for their continued support. Some of our students have never had the opportunity to attend a movie. Lucie Mann has graciously opened her theater several times to our students in the morning before other patrons arrive. Their staff interacted enthusiastically with our students and were exceptionally inspiring. We appreciate their commitment to our school. We would like to encourage Islanders to return the favor by supporting locally owned business like Park Plaza Cinema. It benefits the entire community. We appreciate their commitment to our class and encourage everyone to patronize businesses that give back to the community. Sincerely, Kathy Cramer Special Ed Teacher Hilton Head Island Middle School

New favorite theater! The Park Plaza Cinema isnt very big, but it makes up for that in how warm, familial and unique it is. For one thing, it has probably the nicest recliner seats in any theater Ive ever been to, and for another, the entire theater has this really cool cafe/lounge area right outside the auditoriums. Ive never seen a theater with anything like that before! The prices here are fair, and they have some great deals in the mornings. All the morning showings at 10am are only $5, and then the matinees are $7.50, which is reasonable also. The theater is kept very clean, the bathrooms are nice, and the employees are very welcoming. Another small thing: they sell their old movie posters (from a few months earlier) for $7 in the lobby! As a movie fan, thats a dream come true for me.

Whatever you do, dont go to this theater! It was truly the worst theater I have ever been in. First off, Im under the impression that the theater is run by stoned 15 year olds- I say this because two of them were the only staff I saw both before and after the movie. I had to tell the one working the ticket booth three times in the span of about thirty seconds what movie I wanted to see (You wanted to see what movie? Oh ok. Wait, what movie was it?) Secondly, the place was disgusting; popcorn all over the floor, napkins in the seats, and candy on the arm rests--filthy. As if this wasnt enough, the movie didnt fit on the screen, there was extra hanging off the screen on both sides. Absolutely awful movie experience, please go to the other theater on the island, it is worlds better!

The place is a cozy theater and although it had a limited selection of movies, it was nice. My experience here though wasnt the most pleasant. When we got here we ordered some onion rings from the front and it took them almost 10 minutes to start making them. On the bright side, they did taste very good. During the movie I could here the next room over. It was kind of funny hearing revving cars during the emotional scene. Also, it must have been the alcohol they were drinking, but some other viewers in the front were vaping the whole time. I couldnt go a few minutes without seeing white smoke infiltrate the bottom of the screen. Overall, an ok experience, but I wouldnt want to come back.

Such a cool theater. By far, the best movie going experience I have ever had. I went here with my family to watch Pirates. What I loved most about this theater is the small town feel, the owner greeted us as soon as we came in, and told us about the concessions and drinks. They offer alcoholic beverages which is nice. The staff is very friendly and I LOVED the seats. So comfy and reclines all the way back. The theaters are small but who cares. I really enjoyed my experience here, and if I am ever in Hilton Head again, I would choose this theater to see a movie. Too bad our theaters back home are not this cool!!

This theater was awesome! The seats fully recline and are definitely top of the line. My wife and i literally felt like we were at home on the couch. The only reason this theater doesnt get 5 stars from me is because the food prices were so high. 4 spring rolls were 7 dollars. 7 pizza rolls were 5 bucks. This is an idependent theater so its probabaly how they make their money but i feel like the prices could be a tad more reasonable. Cokes and popcorn were a fair price however. All in all I 100 percent would go back and definitely would recommend it.
