I worked there for a year and let me start off by saying this... go to the Bow Tie in downtown Saratoga Springs, or take the extra time to go find a Regal Cinemas. I can assure you that the theatre is absolutely disgusting and filthy. The seats DO NOT get cleaned, the floor RARELY get mopped up if there is a soda spill, the trash RARELY gets taken out (someone just keeps pushing it down), employees RARELY use gloves when making food, if no customers/managers are around and a soda cup or popcorn tub gets dropped on the dirty/greasy kitchen floor, it will be reused and given to customers. I can go on forever with disgusting things about this place. Now as for the employees & managers, every employee is a teenager and they all date each other. There is SO MUCH drama, which gets shown off to the customers. The workers bad days become the customers bad days. The management staff is all 18 & 19 year olds except for one manager, Martin who is the ONLY good manager there. The management staff is NOT college certified to be a manager and they have absolutely no idea what they are doing because the general manager does not care enough to train them properly. She only promotes people to manager who suck up to her the most. Thats the only way to get promoted. The general manager also slaps, belittles, harasses, and hurts her employees. I witnessed the general manager slap a supervisor multiple times and call him fat. Lastly, when I worked there, a gay employee (absolutely nothing wrong with this) worked with me. I use to be friends with him. He was in his mid 30s. One night, him and I were cleaning the theatre and he inappropriately touched me. I immediately told the manager on duty, and out of curiosity, we googled his name. It turns out he is a convicted sex offender, and is not allowed to be anywhere within 1000 feet of children. Now, Bow Tie Cinemas hiring policy is everyone goes through a background check. Well PLEASE TELL ME how the general manager allowed this CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER work in a place with children. Did the general manager skip his background check? Or did she think "Oh whats the worst that can happen?" I dont know what she did, but she still has her job and this incident should have taken her job right away. After I made her aware of this incident, she got mad at ME. She cut my hours and gave me 5 hour and 45 minute shifts (you only get a break at 6 hours), she made me do awful chores that no other employee was expected to do, and she was extremely rude to me. All because I called Human Resources and filed a complaint because I got inappropriately touched by a sex offender. So yeah, this movie theatre is awful, the management is awful, the whole experience is awful. Save your money, I promise you.

I worked there. Lets just say... be careful where ya sit, they NEVER clean the seats even though our general manager thinks we do. General manager wonders why all their employees are too busy gossiping to do any work. It may have something to do with the fact that 1/2 the employees are dating each other. Whatever you do, dont waste your time or money here. The theaters are freezing, and the lights are usually left on (lol). It probably doesnt help that all the managers are like 17-19 besides one. This place has ONE decent manager; Martin. This place is actually run by teenagers, and whenever the general manager is not in sight, I can assure you NOTHING productive is happening. I highly recommend not ordering hot food, because employees do not wear gloves. Anyways, I highly reccomend Regal or Downtown [Criterion]. This place is a sad excuse for a movie theatre with petty gossip and drama. Oh, and hey Sue. :) Miss ya

Ive been to four different theaters in Wilton in my lifetime. The Pyramid Mall theater, the old Regal, and now both Bow Ties. I will say that I prefer the one in the Wilton Mall than downtown, as the prices seem more fair for what youre getting, and the staff us *usually* more pleasant. I will say however that some really need to spend a bit more time in training, and also need to be a bit more transparent about what is happening in the transaction. I attempted to use my Criterion points the other day, on a free Medium popcorn that was upgraded to a large, as well as a drink and two candies. It ended up costing me $15 because the cashier failed to realize that it removed my free Medium and instead changed it to a bundle deal for full-price. I still paid, but I wish the cashier would have paid more attention to what was going on.

I went to see the new movie IT in theatre today. We were 5 min late but we were like "oh its just previews". So the guy that took our tickets said "its the only one showing the movie. Youre gonna like this one". So we went in the theatre and realized we did miss part of the movie. But nothing was really happening. So we sat and watched everything happen and i was getting excited cause it was really scary for the beginning of a movie. Then the credits started showing. And we were so confused. So we went outside and asked this lady and turns out the guy gave us the wrong theatre and we watched the end of the movie. So now it ruined the rest of the movie and we cant watch it now. Personally that guy should be fired and im really disappointed.

I thought it was funny that Straight Outta Compton wasnt showing downtown. It it one of the most popular movies out with good reviews to back it up. I thought it was very interesting that when that I was IDd when purchasing the ticket (which has never happened of all the 30+ shows Ive watched there, but I can shrug that off) but then again IDd a 2nd time as entering the theatre. When I asked what the reason was for the 2nd check the person told me "we are taking extra precaution". I do not agree with what that is implying. My partner and I looked at one another shocked. We will take our money elsewhere.

Formerly a Regal cinema theater, this place has been greatly improved, no more uncomfortable seats and generally uncomfortable movie watching. You can cuddle with your significant other because they have seats that allow you to move the armrest. You can get nice and comfy. This theater has more parking available than their other location nearby, so if you dont want to plan far ahead of time this location is great.

This is a great theater. Stadium style seating with reclining chairs. The chairs are leather in the BTX theater. The crew at the concession stand is quick and accurate. They keep the line moving. Ive never missed the start of a movie because I wanted a soda. The bathroom is very clean and well maintained, and every employee is courteous and greets or bids you good day with a smile.
