Oh Mill Quarter! My, my, youve outdone yourselves this time. Dead tee boxes, diseased greens and shaft bending dirt and water filled bunkers weren’t enough. Now, for our golfing pleasure, youve added a logging camp, which I’m sure has endeared you to local residents. Nice touch! What next, a clown’s mouth on the eighteenth green and a free game. While never a golfers paradise, at least you had attractive scenery but, now thats gone too. I always wondered what the earth would look like after a nuclear holocaust and now youve answered that question on hole 14. Perhaps you should change the name of the course to Timber Mill instead of Mill Quarter. The verdict is in- this place sucks! Congratulations on doing the impossible - making Windy Hill look like Augusta National. Here’s a thought- hold a tournament for the logger’s union and they can bring their chain saws and drop a tree or two while waiting to tee off.

Wow... every course in Richmond greens are suffering. Some of the top courses have closed because their greens are gone due to the weather this year. Ive seen MQ look amazing at times and Ive seen it suffering at times. Like every public course in the area. I love the layout and the staff is amazing. The "Timber" is to open the course up to more sun and wind, and for area development. You need that to survive in a dying golf market. With that comes inconvenience. Love the layout and the reasonable cost to play. Keep working on the course MQ, good days are around the corner.

This golf course is a pure wreck.. theyve sold acres all over the course for lumber and also to developers to build homes. It looks like a tornado came through and leveled 100s of trees but they just left the stumps and debris. It USED to be such a nice course but now its seriously one of the worse and ugliest courses to play. Save your money and go to Windy Hill or anywhere else. Dont waste your gas to go here, its a disappointment.

Joe is right on. This place was never very good to begin with. I remember playing there a few years back and the greens were so unkempt that it was like putting on a beach. But this time around the course has been converted into something resembling The Somme. This combined with 5+ hour games due to slow play makes you wonder why you didnt just spend your day at Putt Putt Golf.

Nasty management. Came running after us on the golf course cause my husband and son were sharing clubs. Told us we had to rent a set of clubs to speed up play. And we are playing behind a couple five somes which kept us waiting at every hole!!! Yes they do allow five somes!!! Terrible experience the views along the course are bull dozed trees. Find some place else!!!

I played there over 20 years ago and returned with my old friends only to find the place had not been upgraded, they may have placed different tables in dining area. The greens were in HORRIBLE CONDITION, on some greens the ball jumped when you putted. The course seemed uncared for and unkept.

Wow I am very impressed with this golf course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is the best public public course in central VA. This is the best driving range/ new balls.

Do not play here! Staff is rude. Course is in terrible shape. The wood lined holes are all now clear cut. Looks like a tornado went through the course. Go anywhere else!

The greens are in great shape. Keep the ball on the fairways; bit of debris from the storm on the edges. Sand traps in poor condition. Great place to hone your golfing skills.

Nice staff, and is a fun and challenging layout. Unfortunately, the slow play caused 6 hour rounds. This is just way too long to allow people to play.

The course is in pretty good shape and its a good value but they really need a course marshal out there moving slower groups along.
