Staff Attitude: Reviews indicate that the staff can sometimes be rude and untrained. Customers have reported inconsistent information and poor service at the ticket counter and snack bar.
Efficiency: The process for refunds and vouchers is described as cumbersome, especially for those using mobile tickets.
Security Measures: Some customers find the security measures, such as bag checks, to be excessive and inconvenient.
Location: Situated at a prime location in New York, the theater is easily accessible but this doesn't seem to compensate for the other issues.
Seating: The theater offers ample legroom, but the screens are not particularly large, and the seating is far from the screen, making some customers feel disconnected from the movie.
Ticket Prices: Customers find the ticket prices to be high, especially given the quality of the theater. There are no matinee prices, and the theater's rewards program has been described as misleading.
Snacks and Drinks: The food and drink options are considered overpriced compared to other theaters.
Movie Selection: The theater gets some movies that other local theaters do not, which is a point in its favor.
Facilities: The theater is described as well-maintained but not super modernized.
Regal Union Square Stadium 14 is a well-located but somewhat dated movie theater in New York. While it offers a decent selection of movies and ample legroom, the high ticket prices, poor customer service, and lack of modern amenities make it a less-than-ideal choice for many moviegoers. The theater also faces challenges in crowd management and could benefit from improved staff training and customer service policies.

Ive had totally fine experiences here in the past. The worst thing is that the screens are not that big and the seating is far from away, making you feel disconnected from the movie. Also, the experience I had last night: Some friends and I went to see the midnight Prometheus premier. Set to start at 12:01am, previews started a couple minutes late and took until about 12:30. The player broke at the end of the previews. Everyone eventually moved into a theatre that had a showing starting at 12:40. We watched the previews again and the same thing happened there too and in the original theatres second attempt. Needless to say, we never ended up seeing the movie. We did get a refund and a voucher for another movie which was good, but it never seemed like there was a chance things would get worked out once they went awry. For a big summer premier and being a large movie theatre at a prime location in New York, this is pretty disappointing. The process to get the refund and voucher was aweful because everybody used the cell phone ticket, which two staff people were dealing with by writing down confirmation numbers by hand - it was a terrible process and Im just grateful that I was near the very front of the line. The people at the end could have been there for 30-60min for all I know.

I have encountered so much bad attitude from the employees at this place. Not only do they have attitude, they have no idea whats going on or what theyre supposed to be doing. Some experiences: We were told to arrive 40 minutes early to get a good seat for Up in 3D. So we arrived 40 minutes early, and the guy ripping the tickets didnt want to let anybody in until 10 minutes before the movie. He kept changing his mind about when hed let us in, telling us 30 minutes, then 10, then 20 minutes. He was having a tantrum and being extremely rude, and he cursed in front of kids. We had to call a manager to tell him to chill out and let us line up outside the theater. I tried to buy tickets for Harry Potter in advance and was told to come back in three weeks, when theyd have plenty of tickets. I came back one week later and was told they were sold out. They did not attempt to make this right. I also spotted a mouse running around during a movie. This theater is convenient and it gets some movies other theaters around dont get. That is the only reason to go here, and now Im going to avoid it if I can.

high-priced tickets? thx a lot. this movie theater aint that REGAL, but it does its job when an AMC LOEWS doesnt have the movie at the time I want. why is the place charging for so much for tickets and isnt supermodernized like other theaters? cuz this place is cornier than its buttery popcorn. the theater itself is pretty well-maintained but not worth the ticket prices. the staff doesnt seem incentivized to do anything but the basics of their job. poor corporate mgmt the eats & drinks "deals" are fairly over-priced when compared to AMC theaters. there are no matinee prices on any day. WHUT? place is primarily for chumps who dont know better. stay woke! Lol and the crowd? a mix of normal people who have no other theater options OR ratchet af folks (who bring kids in strollers to rated R films late at night, who Snapchat video with the flash themselves during the movie, talk through the entire movie). the theater refuses to police this bs. its lame. and they could do something about it but why should they? they have your $ already. drops mic cuz this theater aint poppin anything but corn

My cousin and I wanted to have a great time in NYC. Why not see a movie after a long day of sightseeing? We get into the theather and the man checking our tickets tells us to open our bags for bag check. He never checked our bags, which led me to believe that someone would check them prior to our going into the cinema itself. We finally get upstairs to popcorn and snack area, and right before we order, the lady working at the cashier leaves it. My cousin and I patiently waited for 2 minutes. We asked another cashier if we could order from him, to which he responded "cant you see Im counting money?! Shes coming now." We waited another 5 minutes, as the line increased. We ask the man again, and he is rude once again. After 8 minutes of us waiting, the lady finally comes out and takes our order. Instead of having you read the rest of the story, the service and slow, the cashiers are rude and untrained, and the theather smells. However, there is awesome leg room and the popcorn was good.

Please be careful if youre visiting this location with small children. We had the worst experience. Bottom line is,this company cares more about the money they make, versus customer satisfaction. At least the manager named Peter at this location. He essentially told me too bad when my TODDLER son made me drop everything I was holding and we lost my sons ticket. Peter told me every ticket had to be accounted for, which I understand, but since when is that priority over customer satisfaction? On top of it, I told Peter I wanted to return my ticket if my son couldnt enter the theater, and Peter tells me i cant. What!? Keep in mind,I havent gone anywhere near the theater yet. To be made to feel like youre just a walking dollar sign instead of a PAYING customer,PETER, was shocking to me. I will be sure to let my local movie clubs not to go to this location anymore.

The Regal Rewards program is nothing more than a scam! When I accumulated enough points for a free movie they deducted 17,000 instead of the published 15,000 on their website. When I questioned this I was told that I would have to redeem on the website to get the free movie for 15,000 and that they charge additional points if you have the people at the box office do it. (whats the difference?). So when I did just what they said and downloaded the 15,000 free movie points on my card and tried to get it at the box office they said I would have t be charged an additional $1.50 because it was a "new" movie.........Can I ask what other types of movies a theatre would be showing? When I questioned it I got no response from their website this time - maybe because I was a "little" snarky /sarcastic in the way I put my question. So the moral is..."nothing is free"

Paranoid Green Zone security measures have made this theater unpleasant. My wife and I did a little shopping and then went to the Regal Union Sq 14 to see a film. We were stopped and my wifes backpack was searched. We were not permitted to enter (after having purchased the tickets) because we had a few glass bottles. OK, disappointing but how, prithee tell, does one know about this policy in advance? Well, there is a small sign in the lobby that says packages may be inspected. Inspected for what, they dont say. The sign faces the exit so you wont see it if youre leaving, and if youre entering, youve already bought your ticket. Thats if you notice it at all, because its small and well above eye level. So well try some other movie houses, thank you, or just skip this overpriced nonsense altogether.
