AMC Tallahassee Mall 20 is a popular entertainment venue located in Tallahassee, Florida. It offers a variety of movies and has amenities like an arcade area and a concession stand. However, it's worth noting that the theater has received mixed reviews regarding service quality, pricing, and other aspects. Therefore, potential visitors may want to consider these factors before planning their visit.

I cannot do the new seats they hurt my neck. But I had problems with this place before they ruined it with the stupid new seats. I used to come up there all the time and watch 2 movies in a day because I lived nearby. They even went through a completely non constitutional sue worthy phase where they were TSA searching ya for smuggled in food AFTER a long time where you could bring in food from the food court up the hall in the Mall. Come on guys make up your mind. I would buy food from there if a coke was not 8 dollars and a popcorn 20. I wish I was kidding, but Im really not far off. Its extortion. The popcorn and drink and candy prices at the Imax are more reasonable ( too bad the tickets are more. ) I guess that a theater is going to try to gouge you one way or another. Red box and Netflix and direct to dvd and cable are probably making the theaters feel like they have to rip ya off. I know for a fact Im not the only one who skips this place now. Too bad back in the day I visited there often. I miss it I really do but its ruined. I do hope the new theater coming to town gets it right with prices and seats.

Movie theater moving in the right direction but still money hungry. We have come here for years and slowly transitioned to going to the Imax Challenger center as the prices for students are under $10. This theater for years has not lived up to its potential we have traveled to many theaters in the U.S and people here just dont realize how much they have been getting taken advantage of. Luckily there has been knew seats put in many of the theaters. the arcade area and concession area is nice and well done. The place is usually kept well. The bathrooms have almost always been clean which is great. The truth is the are headed in the right direction but its alot cheaper to go to challenger learning center which now shows blockbuster movies when they come out. You just dont know what to expect when you come here. Some have different size screens some have nice chairs some dont. We went to the 3D showing of Captain America civil war and payed around 15 bucks per ticket and still didnt get the comfy chairs. There needs to be more transparency and a price lowering.

AMC changed the website. I cannot believe that they did not test the new website on iPads before they launched the new format. I have an iPad air and it is impossible to buy tickets through AMC, cannot see the whole seating, the two options are just half of the theater or nothing at all. No problem I thought when they changed the website, they will see this and correct it. Unfortunately months later this has not been corrected. I used to purchase tickets through AMC website, not anymore. I can and do order tickets through Fandango, just thought that someone at the AMC corporate office will eventually hear these concerns, try to pick up an iPad air and try to reserve seats and purchase tickets for the AMC in Tallahassee. Maybe they can address this huge mess with the website designer. What they currently have is a pretty website that users with iPads air cannot use to reserve tickets. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one that uses this type of device.

Im going to come across as a curmudgeon here for going with a three-star, but the fact is that I see right through this ruse. My take is that folks are frequenting the cinemas less and less because they can get new release movies on their big ole screens (at home) for a fraction of what theyd pay here. We came to see Goosebumps. We were five (my wife, and three of the chirrens). How much? - $122.50 Its true. We came for the 6:15 showing of the 3D movie (we can watch first-run 3D movies in our own home-theater) and ordered 3 personal pizzas and one chicken-thingie. Add five drinks to that - and it came to $122.50 Naturally, there are fewer seats in each viewing room. The barcaloungers work now, and they recline and all, but this ruse has its days numbered. Five stars for the folks working here. one star for getting gipped on screen size. that averages out to 3 stars. I dont even care about the barcaloungers...

Great movie, love the new reclining seats... But, no air for 2.5 hours was almost unbearable and took away from the movie and my enjoyment. Everyone around me was sweating. I was in a sauna for the entire movie. This is the second time I have been there this month and both times... Hot as hell. I get it, its Florida and below 65 degrees, everyone put on their winter coats...but we dont need the heat on... sweat dripping down from my legs... Not cool. I had to sit up on the edge my seat for two reasons, intense action scenes and to keep from the pooling sweat down my back. The sweat was dripping so fast, I felt dehydrated. I could feel it getting hotter as the people around me kept breathing. Ok, Im done. 13 hours, good movie.

Went to take my son to a movie this morning. I pre purchased the tickets on Fandago. Got there and the theater was dark. Waited for a bit thinking they werent open yet until someone told me they were without power. Talked to the staff and they told me they didnt know when power would be back on and that it would take half an hour just to get the projectors warmed up. They were apologetic, but it sounds like this has happened before (and the company has not fixed the transformer) and they told me I would have to come back to get a refund. When we left my son was crying. Currrently online trying to get a refund from Fandago with little help there. Think I lost 18 bucks here.

Awful experience and customer service! If you want to miss part of the movie- and be upset then pre order Concessions. 15 mins after the movie started, I had to go wait in line to argue for and get the concessions, that were supposed to be delivered to my seat. It was my birthday, and because I pay more to be an AMC premium member, the popcorn/soda was supposed to be free. It wasnt. No help from customer service, they told me to go back to concessions to complain. I showed them this review before posting - they Didnt care, and really didnt understand my complaint- nevermind a sorry. I left disgusted, wuth 3 kids in tow on my Birthday- ugh

I went to an opening night of an extremely scary rated R movie last night at 8pm. Sitting in the row directly in front of me two were young children under the age of 6. Along with their party last night, they were very distracting, and at one point one of the children begin loudly crying because the movie scared them. They luckily left the theater at that point, but this totally hindered the movie going experience for me. Im already paying an arm and a length to go to the movie. Additionally, what ever happened to AMCs ban on children under 6 in rated R movies after 6pm??? Will not be attending again.
