This venue is a bit of a pain to get to if you live in the city. My friend and I went for the Yanni concert (yes, I know - THAT Yanni). We had to hire a car to take us from the city to the venue as there isnt reliable public transportation nearby. Sears Centre is really meant for suburbanites with cars I guess! The security was really friendly and we were able to get in pretty quickly. There were two ladies restrooms for every one mens restroom, which was really nice to see at a venue. Why Im giving this venue only 3 stars is the drink service. First we waited in line for 20 minutes and missed the opening part of the show as there was only one bartender for our entire section. Second, we got up about an hour in the show to grab another glass of wine and they had already stopped selling. There werent any signs posted that said alcohol wouldnt be served after the show started but that would have been nice to know. Also, even though we had only missed the beginning of the show, all of the ushers disappeared - it was really hard to find our seats. But the venue is intimate for an arena show and the lights/sound were really great.

Took my 3 year old to see the circus here around march. The staff had us all in line in freezing cold weather for whatever reason would not allow us to make line inside. When we were finally inside I noticed all this space they could have used instead of making people wait outside to pay. Anyway once at the ticket booth I presented a Free Child pass with an adult purchase.. well of course they took it said they applied the free pass and charged me, i signed the receipt thinking okay he just said they applied the free ticket so i moved on to enjoy the show. Next thing you know I go to my bank account the next day and notice there was a charge of $54 dollars they charged my card 3 times the price! I called them and spoke with the person in charge and they said they could not do anything since I signed the damn receipt WOW well thats what i get for not looking right? but they should have been more careful when swiping a card or stop ripping people off!

First of all I would like to comment on the event I visited tonight. I watched a gymnastics event, and the venue was perfect. The atmosphere was great and we had fun. What I didnt like was the fact that the promotional material for the event , she the members of the 2016 U.S Womens gymnastic team. Now the standard of competition was very high. No U.S Olympic champion was involve2. I think the U.S Gymnastic Association can be guilty of false advertising. Secondly, I was told to get rid of the water I was carrying and then was made to pay $5 , for a small bottle of water. I dont know who is responsible, but I think those you fans and parents are getting ripped off, when attending , such meets. Another issue I have is the $15 charge foe parking my car . I am surprised , Chicago gets so visitors to the city. I say it is way too expensive.

Very poorly managed and designed. With only one entrance it took ages to get in for a concert with a line wrapping around the building in the mud. Security staff just stand there and did nothing about the line being more of a massive crowd then a line or about people smoking in the line. Nobody offers to tell you where you need to go or where the end of the line is. No help or staff once in the building either. With doors opening only an hour before the concert we missed a few artists as they cant process that line in a quick fashion having only one entrance. We were very confused through the whole process. Pricey parking at $15 for being an hour from Chicago. With the concert setup there are only two staircases to the upper level and very cramped to access all the aisles. Would be very dangerous to exit quickly if needed.

It is a great venue. I have seen concerts here and The Chicago Bliss Lingerie Football team play here. All in addition to I coach a hockey team that practices on the ice here once a week. When I saw The Bliss play the first time they ran out of beer within the first quarter which to me was just poor planning. The second time I saw them play it was fun and a great venue. The acoustics are concerts are great. As a hockey coach its difficult. The facility is warmer than most rinks but that does not seem to effect the ice which is typically really good. My kids always complain that they have a hard time hearing me on the ice which makes coaching difficult. All and all its a great place with a killer location right off the highway.

Came here to watch a USAV volleyball game some time last year, which was great, but that not what I wanted to talk about. When I arrived, I got locked out of my car with the car still running, so it was definitely a weird situation for me, having never been so forgetful as to leave my key in the ignition as I exited and locked the vehicle. Luckily, the staff in the parking lot were extremely helpful in advising me what to do and guiding the police through the large parking lot to find us and help get my car open. They then escorted us in a cart so we can quickly get to the game without missing anymore of it. Thanks and just wanted to show I appreciated in their assistance in a moment of over-excitement for volleyball!

We came here for the 2009 Tyson American Cup, most unpleasant part was parking. Guys from Standard Parking wearing black mafioso masks (I guess it was cold that day) were blocking all the entrances to parking lots, forcing people to pay extra $20.00 for the event parking. Cash only, many visitors were requested to take money from ATM, including me, since I was unprepared to such intense and straightforward form of money extortion. And then these guys in black disappeared and peace got restored by the end of the event, I wonder what kind of service is that? They are not even responsible for anything bad that might happen to your vehicle during the event parking...

My family attended a Circus at the Sears Center. The show was great. The staff at the Center was not. I was unaware that there is a no smoking policy anywhere on the property. When I requested to step out side I was informed in a most rude fashion that I wouldnt be allowed back in. I had intended to go to my car to retrieve my sons sippy cup as well as have my smoke break. The attendant at the door told me he would not allow me reentry because "He knew I was lying" about the sippy cup. I was not Lying about the cup. I was talked down to and embarrassed by the staff member and for that I will be taking my family elsewhere from now on.

Tried to order presale tickets and website is a total FAIL. Rinky dink venue site cannot handle the volume and once I was finally able to lock in tickets after 15 minutes of trying, and selected the optional parking pass to save $5 compared to the rip off the day of the event, the site CRASHED and I lost the reserved seats. What a waste of my time. Calling customer service was no help, was told sorry, nothing they can do and to try calling in tomorrow when the seats are offically on sale. We will see, really want to go to this concert but sure if I want to throw money at this venue.
