The movie theater itself is nice. Assigned seating, reclining seats, clean. My problem is with the people who work there. I purchased tickets through Fandango since we were going to see a movie that had just recently been released and I wanted to ensure that we got to pick our seats. When I arrived at the theater, I was asked to provide the credit card that I purchased the ticket with, which I did. Two days after the movie, I checked my bank statement to see that I was charged twice for the movie, once through Fandango and once through the movie theater. When I spoke to the manager, I was told that I needed to bring in a bank statement to show that I had been charged twice. I live no where near the movie theater. There is no way I am making a special trip to their theater for a mistake that they made! When the manager said that it was all he could do for me, I asked for his name so I could speak to the corporate office. I was promptly hung up on. Great customer service.....So if you are prepared to pay $45 dollars for two tickets to a movie, this is the place for you. I, however, will not be going back.

600 is your basic movie theater. Overpriced popcorn and drinks, soaring movie ticket prices, cramped seating.. WAIT, you can almost say that about all movie theaters. 600 North is a little older than the other 2 movie theaters in the area (Kerasotes, River East) but that may work to your advantage. Almost seems like the forgotten movie theater which is ironic because of its prime location. So you arent likely to encounter sold out show times as everyone else probably prefers to sweat it out at the other two. But the place could definitely use some renovating. My most recent show there was a screening of Bad Words and I was a little cramped with the seating. Im not sure why most people havent followed the path of allowing ppl to select their seats like Kerasotes on Roosevelt. Plus I got stuck sitting on the end of aisle right under the light which spoiled my experience a little. But overall its just average. Perfect for a matinee or something during the day. At night Id probably avoid it unless I HAD to go here.

This is my favorite theater in the city-- and Ive been to A LOT. There are some fun neighborhood spots that are great too but for a nice, clean, comfortable experience this is a great theatre-- PLUS its near to a lot of great places to eat. The staff is friendly here and the seats are reserved with purchase (no rushing to get a seat) and fully recline. You can now order food from the concessions like burgers, sushi, etc and they will deliver to your seat before the show. Some people complain about the prices but its totally on par with other movies theatres these days and using your AMC Reward card is worth it if you go to movies regularly. ... I really dont understand people on here complaining about the staff. If you dont like/trust someone else selecting your seat for the movie, do it yourself before you arrive. You can see where you are going to be sitting before you buy them, so not sure why you;d end up with a seat you didnt want.

I went to this theater on an evening off while on business in Chicago. It was nice and relaxing and within walking distance from my hotel. The theater has assigned seating and was spacious with reclining seats. The food trays rotate so you can bring them closer or push them out of the way. The food was pretty expensive - cheaper dishes cost about $10-12. I paid $8 for an Oreo milkshake, but it was exactly what I wanted. You can order your food at the concessions stand and show them your ticket so they can note the seat number. Then find your seat in the theater, enjoy the show, and someone will bring your food to your seat. Theres plenty of space in the aisle, so they arent walking over people to bring you your food. I recommend going to this theater if you want dinner and a movie and comfy seats!

Although they do have high ticket prices, theyre still cheaper than River East 21. They are remodeling the theater with more plush seats and a lounge. I dunno if the ticket prices or the concessions will change but atleast they are stepping into the 21st Century as far as movie theaters go.I for one am not a fan of the "select your seat" routine like over at Icon. Just because you select your own seat doesnt guarantee youll get a good one. Thats one of the many flaws at Kerasotes. I prefer 600 and River East because you can sit where you want. Plus the select your seating at Icon is computer run and computers crash. Not every theater should follow in Icons footsteps. EPIC FAIL! But again, Im hoping the remodel of 600 N. is a good one.

One month ago, I would have given this place 6 stars; however, recently I went to the movies and became so sick with whatever smelly chemical they are now pumping through the air system. I had to leave with vertigo and a migraine. Those with asthma should be forewarned that it might trigger an attack. In addition, I have tried to call the theater 12 times, but wasnt even allowed to leave a message. Management should be all over this issue! Those air deodorizers can contain pthylates, benzene, and fermaldahyde--and other carcinogens--not to mention they just smell bad. I couldnt smell my popcorn or taste my drink. Management, pls address this issue! I want to come back to AMC 600...I used to go 1-2 times a week.

The staff here knows nothing. Probably the worst theater in Chicago STAFF wise. All of them were miserable and not willing to help and kick out rude children after I got up twice and left the movie to report them. The first person NEVER CAME. Prompting the second visit. Ive never left a movie to report anyone. They did nothing. Several parties did this and NOTHING WAS DONE AND NO FREE MOVIE TICKET TO ANY PARTY for inconvenience . they didnt kick out the children (18 y/o) "Children" so was forced to hear talking and there friends coming in and out of the movie the entire movie. GO TO AMC RIVER EAST where because the movie was 5 minutes late they appreciated our wasted time by giving us a free movie pass

Theres a ticket guy named josh who thinks everything is funny, very over animated,he seated us HORRIBLY we went to go see "the perfect guy"this past Sunday its a nice theatre recliner comfy seats but it was only 15 to 20 people there and the room seated about 300,he sat us all cramped on top of each other in one row while the entire theatre was basically empty why cramp people in one row on top each other and theres over 100 more seats?? This made the visit VERY uncomfortable HE presented the seat selection as if these seats were only choice but they were NOT,he screws with peoples heads.food prices are very high 5.89 just for small pop corn.NOTHING under $5.
