I moved to Valporaiso from Chicago and I have taken my family of 7 to this theater 5 times and each time it keeps getting worse . It is the Filthiest , dirtiest , most unsanitary theater in the area . We went to a movie and was the second family to enter and was greeted by piles and piles of garbage on the floor , the last movie finished 1 hour prior to our show start so there was enough time to clean . I approached the manager who was behind the concesion stand and I asked her to follow me to the theater and told here of the conditions and to my amazement she told me " well sir it is a kids movie and im sure our ushers cleaned up some but i have heared other customers reporting this " You should have seen her eyes when she saw the amount of trash on the floor , and that was just in the main walk way to get to the seats, and then she saw the first aisle behind the handicap section , and at eye level you can see right under the chairs to see napkins and pop corn tubs , pop containers and mounds of popcorn . My wife took my girls into the ladies ( Women ) rest room and told me their wasnt any hand soap and their was toilet paper scattered in the stalls on the floor as well as the toilet bowls . I pray that the people working at the concesion stands use a different restroom and is using hand soap prior to handleing the food ! Handicap parking is a joke , you have to park away from the center section to a section that is +200 feet off to one side and if you use a wheelchair , like my son , then you will have to roll from the handicap section down the thru street to the only ramp that the sidewalk has , and when it is 20 degrees it sucks going that far just to get into the theater . Main aisle is less then 30 feet and the handicap row is +200 feet to the only ramp at the front entrance , and this is the closest handicap section , the other is about 300 feet to the closest entrance . If you dont be leave me the hit Google maps and zoom down at the property to see the blue sections . I have been living in Valpo for a year and only go to this theater when i cant make it to the theater in Portage so far i have been their 5 x . Its a shame I have to drive 15 miles to another town when i live right by this one . I will never ,ever , EVER , go to this theater again !

I have never typed out a review before but after reading "I moved from Chicago....this is the worst....dirtiest..." I HAD to say something! This theatre has ALWAYS been clean. I have ALWAYS had soap available to me in the restroom. Children shows are the WORST for popcorn (I have a lovely little boy that has a 50% avg hitting his mouth with that popcorn) but I have never stepped in sticky spot on the floor that the staff hasnt literally JUMPED to mop it up. I have found the staff to be very approachable and have always had a prompt response to ANY problems (toilet paper on the floor, garbage needing attending etc) I always keep in mind that most of the employees are teens to young adults, how would I want my kid treated by a patron? I live an hours drive away and could easily go to a theatre 20 mins away but I will go to THIS theatre any time I can! Although not as venomous as previous review, I do agree the handicap parking needs to be rethought out. I have a heart condition and the walk IS a little much for someone with disabilities.

This is a great movie theater. I am very happy to have such a large and convenient theater in that area so I do not have to drive so far to see a movie. The movie quality is always great. As for the person who commented before me.... well the theater is not that dirty and if there is popcorn on the floor and trash everywhere maybe you should leave a comment about Mr. Joe Public out there THAT ARE the slobs. It is the people who visit the theater that make it bad. Show a little self respect and take care of our theater. If you ask me... they should not even sell popcorn in the theater... one... it is messy and people dont care.... two.... it is annoying when you go to enjoy a movie and all you hear is someone crunching on popcorn. The movies at this theater are great..... keep them coming..... I will be there :)

WE and another couple took in a movie here and overall it was a nice theatre, clean/fresh, refreshments great, and reasonable pricing-and we havent been back since!! REASON-the seats were the most uncomfortable any of us had ever sat in ever, in a movie theatre!! We were all crippled (all 4 of us) by the time we left the theatre, and couldnt enjoy the movie as we were constantly shifting in our seats trying to save our backs! We have another Cinemark locally in Mishawaka, IN and love that theatre as the seats are great there. The one in Valparaiso needs to compare notes with that one and take our their old seats!! Too bad as we would go back if it were not for the seats!!

I have been going to theater for three years now; I always find it clean including the bathrooms and they have always been supplied well, ; people are always nice here as well. I always take my garbage with me when I leave and dispose of it in the trash. What I dont like is the people that go there and treat it like their personal garbage can by leave popcorn, candy wrappers and pop on the floor; do you live like this at home; you are disrespecting the theater by doing this and eveyone that goes there; clean up your own mess; you dont have maid service. This is a great Theater treat it accordingly. I think the unfair reviews here are unjustified.

I have been going to this theater weekly for four years now. In my experience the majority of the staff is friendly and helpful. I have seen them helping people open doors and get to their theaters if they have their hands full. I have also noticed that the staff keep the theater mostly clean, I understand that when the theater is full nothing is going to be perfect, but I have seen them rushing to clean as soon as the people clear out. On a side note, many of the reviews here talk about the handicap parking, they seem to have added more handicap parking in the front of the theater.

My family were the only ones watching the emoji movie and we walked in the theater on a Thursday evening and it was filthy dirty, the air was not on so, it was super hot and the entire place smelled of sewage. We just moved here and was hoping this theater would be great. Not impressed . Also felt their concession prices were higher than showplace. We are a give it a 3 strikes your out experience. So, we will try again and hope its better, if not... our business will go elsewhere.
