Used to love going here. But my experience of being harrassed this evening changed my mind. I walked into the theater after buying a ticket and no one was waiting at the door. I figured that this was due to it being nearly closing time for the front. As I made my way to the womens restroom, I heard someone mumble something off to my right. Glancing in that direction, I saw a sloppily-dressed large man in plain, dark clothes staring at the floor (with nothing present on his apparel that indicated him being a theater employee). Continuing on into the bathroom, I heard a male voice yell down the corridor to the womens bathroom, asking if I had a ticket. I replied that I did and was about to go to the bathroom right then. I realized there was another male voice now and both were getting louder as the two were actually starting to enter the corridor to the womens bathroom. I walked out to meet them as I prefer to go to the bathroom unharassed. The original sloppily-dressed man in plain clothes had now been joined by another individual, likewise sleazy in appearance, and the two proceeded to corner me in the bathroom corridor, beginning to berate me. Could they not have waited calmly until I exited the bathroom to ask me about my ticket purchase, recognizing that they had not been at their station earlier? Or were they concerned that I was going to use the toilet without having paid first? However, my main issue with this situation was that most people mistake me for a teenager, so these two sloppily-dressed middle-aged males had no qualms about cornering what appeared to be a lone teenage girl in the womens bathroom corridor. Many thanks to the manager who professionally addressed the issue and gave me my refund. Please do yourself a favor and hire better staff who wear theater uniforms and take a shower once in a while.

Horrible!!!!! I have been to this theater many times over the past 5 years since living in Gwinnett. Ok, so the price is right for cheap entertainment $3 for movies that are about ro be out in Redbox, Netflix, and such. I am so agitated! I have a purse, most women do. This is a Vera Bradley handbag that I take EVERYWHERE! for the first time they ask to do a bag check and tell me NO LARGE BAGS IN THE THEATER, say huh..... yall have never asked to check a bag in all the years I have come, why now? Their response, which is a cheap one.... well movie theaters are now being shot up.... ok, yeah and it was a dude, I am pretty sure he wasnt sporting Vera Bradley either! My response, if I had something illegal or contract ban it wouldnt be in my bag. They processed to get a manager and tell me it is a private business so they have that right to check my bag ( all while another lady is getting through without her black purse being checked). I quickly go and get my money back! Yes, they charge $3 to be harassed by grungy guys who look soooo unprofessional. My next movie will be at a full price theater with cleaner seats and employees dressed in clean professional attire! FYI theater guys, we get outside an someone who over heard my loudness said they had a pocket knife in their pocket, maybe my response will save a life! Remember I said, " get a metal detector if your concerned about weapons." Perhaps I will do myself and my family a favor and attend safer and secure venues. I would have never even thought about checking pockets over handbags, but looks like they have bigger fish to fry!

As many other ladies previously posted, this establishment singles out and harasses individuals. They violate patrons civil rights. After tickets were purchased and we (my family and I) were entering the theatre, a very unprofessional male employee said he had to check my bag (purse) before entering. I told him there were no signs posted at the ticket office nor outside the theatre stating that customers had to allow a visual inspection of their purses/handbags in order to get in the theatre. The employee selling tickets at the ticket office did not disclose that customers had to allow visual inspections of their purses/handbags to be allowed to enter the theatre. Next, the male employee actually got in my face and said I had to allow a visual inspection (for weapons and candy - what????) or he would not allow me to enter the theatre. My review: Poor customer service, racial profiling (which is illegal), violation of constitutional rights, and the theatre room smells like it is mold infested causing health issues. This establishment used to provide great service - sorry to see that this business no longer comprehends the meaning of customer service and no longer values its patrons.

Venture Cinema is one of the last dollar theaters in the state, and it is certainly one of my favorite. I used to frequent the close by "Pictureshow", but found this one and have since fallen in love with the place. Sure, the seats need updating, the screens and projectors are old, and there is only a cup holder every two seats, but the popcorn is just perfect and always fresh. The portion sizes are HUGE compared to the prices at other places (Seriously, $6 bucks for SMALL popcorn at AMC--$2 at Venture Cinema). Large drinks are only 4 bucks, bucket of popcorn is only 6 and refills are only a dollar. The bathrooms need work--they always need work. I go maybe once or twice a week and am always very satisfied. If youre expecting AMC quality for two bucks, dont go here. But if youre willing to sacrifice a LITTLE bit of quality for a super awesome time, then frequent Venture Cinema and join in on the best-kept secret in town.

Ok, you might be seeing all these reviews saying "great deal" or "awesome pricing". But no! You have no f***ing idea how good a deal this is! How much are most film tickets these days? 9 to 12 titty-twisting dollars! What the actual, MILF motor-boating, frickity frack!? You know how much a standard adult ticket is at this fother mucker? 3 ball annihilating visages of our God-like founding father George-ass-slapping-Washington! Thats right only 3 of those little gum-wrappers! Go to Steak-n-Shake afterwards and you can have dinner and a movie for three ungrateful plebeians for less then 25 crack-napkins! Youll see Big Hero 6 for the price of one large swill-water at any other wallet gouging brothel, guaranteed! Dont believe me? Ill come to your house, drink ALL your drain cleaner and piss in your sink while screaming the lyrics to bohemian rhapsody, and that is a God-damn promise!

I Have Been Coming To Venture Cinema For Over 15 yrs. When I First Moved To This Area Back In April 2000. Back Then All Shows Were Only $0.99 Which Was Awesome.. I Came To The Movies About 3 Days A Week And I Watched All Of The New Releases As Soon As They Got Them... I Came So Much That All The Staff And Management And Owners Knew Me By Name.. They Have Changed Staff And Owners Over The Yrs And Now Is $3.00 Which Is Still The Best Movie Value For Your Money And That Really Makes A Difference For Me And My Friends . I Loved How They Have Remodeled And Have Digitized The Movies The Theater Looks Really Good And I Still Know Most Of The Staff And New Managers.. Shout Out To Big Mike...
