Ive not played this course - but I had a very unpleasant experience with the golf pro. I called to inquire about a 9-hole ladies league (on behalf of the KC Chapter of largest amateur womens golf organization in the world) and his response was very insulting. He wanted to make sure that the members of the league had "taken lessons to make sure they were ready to be in a league" before they could sign up. Every other golf course in the country is trying to find ways to grow the game of golf and this guy is worried that someone might not know when its time to pick up their ball and move on. I seriously doubt he asks men who sign up for leagues if they have taken lessons.

Nice layout. Not that hard of a track . Managing your yardage on a few holes a must. Thats the good news. Greens horrible!!! So slow a croquet mallet would be better than your putter. Too bad because the rest of the course in great shape. Dont know if its the area or what because Shoal Creeks greens arent bumpy but they are pretty slow also. Weekend took 5 hours. Two starters but no ranger. All kinds of people who were clueless on the course.

Played the course after a LOT of rain in the area. Cart paths only was the only negative this day! Beautiful, well maintained. Excellent greens. Has several doglegs which require something other than driver off the tee. Pace was a little slow but will use the cart path only rule as the reason! Will play it again next time in KC!!

Its not my favorite course in town but its fun enough to play. Except for the pace of play. Its really slow. Rarely is a round on the weekend less than 5 hours. Took 4 hours this past weekend to play 13 holes and when walking to the club house from 13 green I found holes 17 and 18 were completely empty.

Great Golf course, Generally really good for moderate players the greens were really slow when I was there, they needed to be cut and the clubhouse desperately needs torn down and rebuilt but this is worth playing and the price is right, the course is well-kept and and they run a good operation.

Ive been playing Hodge Park for over 25 years. The course has never been in as good of shape as it has been these past 2-3 years. Greens and fairways are both excellent! Fees always reasonable. Not the most difficult course but hard to find anything to complain about!

This course is in excellent condition everywhere. The layout has some simple holes giving birdie chances and a few holes where par is well earned.
