My best friend married at this venue on Sunday. I almost didnt make it due to hurricane Matthew. Over half the guest were traveling from Georgia. The venue was pretty but the staff not very friendly and not very helpful when problems came up. The bride arrived to a messy spot for the bridal party to get ready and there were electrical issues that had to be fixed by the bride herself because no staff from the venue was there to assist. The ceremony was very nice. The issues began once the reception began. The hired bartender was not happy to be there and he was provided by the venue for a fee ($300) up front. We also tipped because some of us have worked in the service industry and were happy to tip. He never once smiled and was on his phone most of the time. The alcohol was also provided was already paid for by the bride and groom. The groom is military and has served and deployed along with many of his groomsmen and all were catching up and celebrating the happy occasion. After about an hour the bartenders attitude just worsened and some of the guest were getting irritated. After about 2 cocktails in and a hearty meal he began to cut guest off! I have worked and managed and bar for 10 years and NOT one guest was acting inappropriate in any way shape or form. This started to upset the bride and groom understandably after paying $8000 to book the venue which included up front payment to this angry bartender. Also, an insurance fee of $150 for some alcohol protection that covers liability of intoxicated guest. The situation worsened after one by one people were cut off at this private event. We had several designated drivers planned and hotels booked near by to stay. The groom became very angry and the bartender called cops. There was NO reason for police to be called. The groom simply wanted him to serve the alcohol he paid for and do the job he was paid there to do. We ensured him that we had transportation for the guest and were all safe. When the police arrived they seemed baffled as to why they were called to the venue. In fact, 2 of the police officers were smiling as the bride continued to try and enjoy her wedding as the nonsense caused by the staff went on. The cops left without arresting or even citing any of the guest because there was NO reason. The bride ended the reception 3 hours early and cried as we cleaned up the venue for her and we started the trips for the family and friends who had been drinking. Everyone ended up home safe and unharmed. My best friends wedding day was ruined because of the staff at the reception. They were not friendly and did not have experience with handling or understanding how to serve guest and know when and how to cut someone off. People drink at most weddings and i do not think that this venue is a great one for a celebration. Bride rented venue until midnight and was sadly cut off early and she was devastated. The anger and frustration was totally understandable. The owner never took any responsibility for her staff instead verbally attacked the bride and groom and then took photos of the bride CRYING with her head down and sent her in a message the next day as blackmail. I own and manage 3 businesss back home and would NEVER treat a bridal party this way. I realize how stressful planning a wedding is and how expensive. This situation could have been handled much better on both parts but I am shocked at the lack of compassion from the owner.

Worst. Experience. The list is so long! We happily arrived to the venue at noon. We were greeted by the bartender announcing the liens were not matching purples ,they were proactive and order more.... but we had to wait to set tables. Deep breath no big deal, I even said no worries. We were then told that the kegs ( that they knew about) needed bins to be placed in., so off to the store we went. Bartenders left. Bride and groom had to set the bar up and connect the kegs. No worries right? Bridal room. Breaker is unable to handle more than 3 hair styling tools plugged in. This made it very hard to get ready. I called stAff, no answer. I texted stAff, who Responded with the location of the breaker box, for bride to fix....no worries Flower girls wanted a bubble bath... hair from previous party .. no worries, we cleaned it out Bridal couch was full of " stuff" that has fallen through the cushions and not cleaned.. again no worries, bridesmaid actually cleaned the couch out.finding a purse!! 10 mins before we walk out,we were told that the flower petals we could not use becauze they were artificial... their response " its in your contract".... Wedding was beautiful!!! Reception $15 per drink dispenser leaked. Willow creek staff actually handed MY GUEST a towel and told them to clean it. $25 gold LOVE letters are so flimpsy they kept falling The staff member was actually picking up table settings before we were done eating. And then the worse part!! At 9pm the Bartender who had a bad attitude started cutting guest off!! During bartending was on his phone! ( bad customer service ) apparently dancing and having a great time can be a little to much.... who knew! When finding this out Groom questioned the reasoning to cutting certain guest off, the security officer called the police due to feeling overwhelmed... of our 50 ( if thAt) 4 cops showed up asking the reason ? " is there any damage ? " NO! " has anyone been threaten" NO! Cops were dumbfounded of why they were called And left. Then of course the owners come, not to help defuse the situation but to come in being rude and complaining " we had to get out of bed" The owner made groom do a walk through , even though no one did the initial walk through, trying to accuse our party of denting a trash can and breaking a vase, which we did not do. We did pay for that mandatory $150 insurance that should cover it, at least is what we were told... not sure why they were trying to say it would come out of our deposit.. Once groom made a comment similar he was able to sign the agreement nothing was broke.. By 11 we were packed up and leaving... we had the venue to midnight... so now management wants to send me a picture they took of me crying on a bench because my wedding day was ruined... Didnt even get to do the spArklers, the owner sparkly said you can do it now at 9:30 My guest include vets, who my husband hasnt seen in years. Hurricane victims of Matthew who drove from GA. We came home with almost all of our alcohol purchased.... This place turned out to be nightmare... A coworker attended. Wedding the day before and she said that the reception was horrible for them too. Pretty place though!

This is such a beautiful venue to get married at. There are several different settings to choose from. Getting married in the dead heat of the tx summer? They offer an awesome covered porch to hold your still outdoor ceremony at with several fans. You can also get married in the large reception hall that is nicely air conditioned. I personally love the chapel gazebo. The areas to prepare for your big day are amazing!!! Great spaces to enjoy your big day and take the day of jitters away. Beautiful places for pictures. The staff is great at answering any questions and make the experience as painless as possible. Love this place!
