When I visited the theater, there was a group who came into the movie theater late...about 15 minutes into the movie. They used their cell phones as flashlights and talked during the dialogue...they didnt like their first location, so they moved to the row right behind me...everyone knows this is discourteous behavior, and I asked them to stop...the female of the group assured me they just needed to see to get seated and theyd turn off the light when they settle...after a couple more minutes, and when they were seated, they still had their phones on and were still talking...when I asked them again to stop, their response was to cuss me out and the two young men with them threatened me. I went to the manager immediately and asked if that is acceptable behavior in this theater...the manager said it isnt acceptable anywhere and went to talk to the group...the result was that the manager let the group sit back down...Now, if it was JUST the cell phone and talking, I could see the warning and allowing them to sit back down...but this group did not self correct and they had the audacity to cuss out and threaten another customer...I found it absurd that they would be allowed to stay and watch the movie when they raised it to that level... The manager DID want to return my ticket price, which at this theater was $2.00 (maybe that is why those other customers didnt think their behavior offensive...it was only a $2.00 ticket anyway)...but the popcorn and soda was full price and I had already missed 20 minutes of the movie because of this ordeal...and I was an out of town visitor too...I would not likely be coming back...the experience was ruined for me...and I may not return to an AMC theater again...Why even bother with the extra expense of going to a Movie Theater anyway if badly behaved customers are never held accountable for ruining the experience for others...I have to wait for Kong to come on DVD to see it now...maybe that is the best way anyway for all movies.

The prices are much more reasonable than the traditional expensive new release theaters. Many movies showing are just a little bit behind the newest releases, which means kids and adults still get to see relatively new movies before they move to rentals and streaming online. Food and snacks are a bit more than the tickets, but still affordable. The theaters are cleaned between showings and restrooms are well stocked on my visit. An old-fashioned style theater and carpeting reminding me of the 90s, and chairs are comfortable enough for a discount theater. A little crowded on the weekend (Friday thru Sunday) but the price makes up for it. My one complaint is they do not have any options for hearing impaired or deaf viewers. There are no captioning devices or CC showings for the movie I went to see. All of the regular big-time theaters now let you borrow a small captioning device that would sit in your drink holder and give captions, but when I asked about it at this theater, the staff didnt even understand what I was asking for, and was not apologetic or understanding that I was disappointed. I have a hard time hearing dialogue among the loudness, but again, the price discount was enough to make this a small complaint. Otherwise, good visit.

Great pricing ($2 tickets (1 on Tuesdays), $1 hotdogs) and more screenings than Tempe Pollack. 20 Dollars can get you 3 movies, small popcorn, popcorn seasoning, large ICEE, and 2 hotdogs. Recently theyve had a glitch where the movie was delayed by 3 minutes but they fixed that since it didnt happen 5/14/17. They charge an additional fee (+$1) for online tickets, but its still cheaper than the average theater including concession stand items. On top of that, the Picture Show is located in an ideal family friendly location next to the mall and across the street from a Harkins (its on the other side of the freeway). Picture Show also allows backpacks subject to search according to their website so it works just fine for students and this place doesnt have reserved seating.

Very unhappy at the type of customer service received at this theatre. We purchased tickets for Tarzan on line. I took a copy of the receipt to the ticket counter. None of the personnel could pull up my confirmation and we were forced to purchase another set of tickets for $20.00. I went back the next day with proof of purchase so I could get a refund on my $20.00. Harkins personnel had to submit documentation to corporate for the refund. We have yet to receive it. You would think due to the inconvenience to us they could give us free passes or handle a $20.00 refund on site. Unbelievable.

We save so much money here and the staff treats us with total respect. Cant beat a $1 movie with fresh popcorn, Icee, & some candy. Older theater but well taken care of by the Awesome staff! I encourage everyone to try the theater at least once if you looking to save money and not pay $7-$10 a person. $4s beats $40 for 4 people in my opinion & Circle Cross Cheetas Rock. Especially when Amiaya & Aaliyah do not go out to see every new movie once it comes out, we catch up on movies by going to the Picture Show. Thank you for having such an Awesome Movie Theater for the public.

My family & I have been to this theatre several times, since they have changed owership the audio & visual is much better than before. My only problam with this theater is they need to remove seats (for handicap)along the walkways in the center of the theater so that my wheelchair-bound son isnt stuck in the back where the light is constantly on distracting him from the film along with viewers walking in & out with their concessions. Even specialneeds people deserve a good seat.

For $2 a ticket you can see a movie after it is no longer available in most theaters. This is not a fancy place. There are occasional technical problems. But, hey, its only 2 bucks. But no discounts on popcorn or drinks - food revenue is clearly how the theater stays in business. And the lines can be long sometimes. You go inside and pick a line and they sell you the tickets and food at the same counter, in one transaction. So allow 10-15 minutes or so extra during peak hours.

Price here is the best Ive seen anywhere. I can take the family get popcorn and sodas for under 20 dollars especially on Tuesday. I cant stand how people complain about this theater first of all what do you expect for a dollar theater. Your not gonna get the newest seats and/or theater if you want that go ahead and pay the 10+ dollar a ticket for it. You cant have a champagne on a beer buget. Great place if you want to save a few dollars.

If you are looking for the latest, brand new movie out, you will Not find it here. However, if you have an afternoon to kill and want to go see a cheap flick with some friends, I would definitely recommend this place. Tickets are just $2 and food and drinks are cheap. The Theaters themselves are a bit outdated, and not as comfortable as say Harkins or Imax, but for a fraction of the cost, its a good way to spend a few hours.

Ahh, the good old Superstition Springs "Picture Show." Hard to find places like this these days. I remember growing up with the "dollar theater" and now this is the only theater like that left around here that I know of. I think its around $2 now, but still so much more affordable than a regular theater, and you still get the big screen experience. Great to take your kids to!
