Ive been to Bowlero many times before and yes, I do have to agree with some of the other reviewers that the service isnt the greatest. Usually when Im there, I have a good time, but this time was just unacceptable. Aug 15, 2016 MONDAY I had two tickets open: 1. For the Lane/Shoe Rental ($40.14) 2. For the Food ($50.17). As our night at Bowlero came to an end, I decided to close out my tabs. I went to my server & paid in CASH for my Food then went to the front counter & paid my Lane/Shoe rental with my CARD. Later that evening, knowing I have enough money in my bank account, my buddies & I went out to BUC-EES then to a Hookah Lounge to end the night. As I am cashing out at the Hookah Lounge, my card is declined. I check my bank account & I see that Bowlero had charged for my food twice (1 transaction that I made with Cash & a duplicate copy of the same amount on Card), putting my bank account now at a negative on top of the Bank Overdraw fee of (-$29.00). I make a phone call to Bowlero to solve this issue (Aug 16 @ 1:15AM, TUESDAY)& they told me the person in charge was not available until the next day. On the same day (Aug 16 @ 6:16PM, TUESDAY), I called again to speak to the Manager. I had informed the manager that there was a mistake with the transaction that I made with them the night before. The manager tells me that he will talk to the bank & it will take about 2-3 Business Days for my money to return & a phone call from him the next day to give me an update. Next day comes & nothing. I called (Aug 17 @ 6:25PM, WEDNESDAY), Manager tells me he had already spoke to the bank & confirms with me that the money will return in 2-3 Business days. So I patiently wait the 3 Business days & the money should return on Friday Aug 19, 2016. Friday comes & nothing. I know mistakes happen so I decided to give them a few more days for the money to return. Monday Aug 22: Nothing. Tuesday Aug 23: Nothing. Wednesday Aug 24: Nothing. Thursday Aug 25: Nothing. By now you understand why Im pretty Torked. Im fed up with calling so I drive up there myself (which is an hour drive) & asked to speak to a person in charge. The General Manager, Shane assists me & I inform him about everything that had happened on paper so it would be very easy to follow. I had a good chat with Shane for about 15-20min then he tells me that he could return the money now & it should show up in my bank account by tomorrow (now Im thinking, if it was that simple, why couldnt they have said that from the very start before i went through all this trouble?) Then we head over to the front desk & he swiped my card & gives me the money back. Now, heres my problem: from the initial start, this was not suppose to happen & sorry to say this, but this is Bowleros Fault. A customer that has invested unnecessary hours to resolve a situation that shouldnt have happening from the start should NOT JUST get his/her money back. Its called COMPENSATION AND a business that made a mistake should fix the problems themselves instead of making a customer take up all those responsibilities with a conflict that shouldnt have happened in the first place. As a business owner, I know how this game works & I dont have time to deal with non-sense. Investing hours of my time, only to get back the money I shouldve had originally with no compensation makes no sense to me. The problem "seemed" to be fixed in their eyes, but to me the problem has yet to be fixed until they propose something fair in return. I will be writing a letter to Corporate & Definitely a letter to BBB (Better Business Bureau) to make sure that others wont have to go through the same thing I did. If a Bowlero representative proposes something back in return that is reasonable, I will ensure that the rating will be bumped up.

One of the most poorly ran operations Ive ever seen & experienced in my life. A very close friend of mine works here and gets worked like a 5 year old in a nike factory. 12+ hour shifts with no break, getting made to stay longer because other employees call in sick every other day, etc. The scheduling manager is completely incompetent. Absolutely ZERO accountability here. As far as the bowling alley itself, its not a night club but be prepared to pay up like your Jerry Jones. They are very proud of the little they actually have to offer. Overpriced menu items, drinks, and bowling to make up for the lack of everything else. As far as working here, dont. Youll find better use of your time making a sandcastle in Alaska. On top of poor management, most of the employees are always high or drunk on something (the GM of this location is no exception to that statement either) If this place could get rated negative 5 stars I would. Ive never seen such a high turnover rate. Rule number one in running a successful business, treat your employees right because theyre the ones doing YOUR job 90% of the time. Man up and take accountability Bowlero, or please just fall off the map. I dont even work here but quite frankly Im sick and tired of someone that is very dear to me get mistreated, verbally abused by other co-workers, and worked like they are the only employee there. Im positive others involved in this mess of a Bowling alley feel the same way. This will be followed up by a letter to Tom, the CEO. Im sure this isnt what he had in mind for successful business operations here in SA. Sincerely, A successful business owner P.S. most other businesses with more bad ratings than good tend to naturally disappear unless someone in upper management puts a foot in their a**. But based on the inconsistency of the business this place gets and ALL the mixed reviews, change is highly unlikely. Take my advice folks, find somewhere else that actually DESERVES business. This is just a college scene with college employees that are either getting worked like dogs or are so lazy they cant wipe their own a**.

Honestly, more like 2 1/2 stars. The bowling was fun. Went last night a date night with hubby and we were excited for this place. Got in-ok, liked the small arcade area and the small rope course. The prices for bowling were decent. Our server introduced himself and brought us our water to start with, and then we never saw him again. Well, we saw him with the teams around us: all were at least 8 people. So our fun night out just deflated quickly. We added a 3rd game where we debated ordering at the bar or just going elsewhere. So we went elsewhere after our games ended. We were going to take advantage of happy hour and even had the food we wanted picked out. As it was, we left without spending money on food. So they got the bare basics out of us, which is sad because we were willing to spend the money. After I talked to the people at the front about our experience, they offered us a coupon for some free games and I told them it honestly wasnt worth it for us to come back. Their ball return created some deep scratches on my husbands bowling ball and free doesnt always fix bad service.
