We were looking for a local Winery that had a more personal and intimate setting. Jolo, from the moment you enter the gates has great views all around including a excellent back drop of Pilot Mountain. Ok, so you are not in the rolling countryside of Tuscany, but it is almost as beautiful in the fall with all the colors of the leaves changing around you. After you park and walk up to the front door, there are great outdoor areas/patios/pergolas for friends and family to gather and enjoy the scenery while having a drink. Entering the winery is like entering a very high end log cabin, with high ceilings, chandeliers and smells of log burning fires. The cabin is filled with many happy faces where you will be greeted by a friendly hostess who quickly gave us the options of how we could spend our evening. In front is a "bar" area where the wine tastings are held (room for about 4 couples standing). From hear you can choose what type of wine tasting you would like to have. Behind the bar is an open plan kitchen where you can watch the chief prepare some wonderful looking/smelling meals. After a little wine tasting and learning about the wines we went outside to sit on the patio and enjoy a glass of our favorites from the tasting and the evening air. Dinner is ready, we enter a cozy dining room with 10-12 dining tables and windows all around. Tonight is a set 3 coarse menu consisting of a salad to start, a Mushroom risotto with a pan seared scallop as a second course and Flank steak with grits and green beans for the main. Everything is brought out only when you are finished with the current coarse or you are ready for the next. ( I really do not like it when I am eating somewhere and they bring out my main meal while I am still working on my starter... none of that here) It was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and she was very helpful suggesting wines to compliment our meal. It was a very fair price for the level of service and quality of food. While it is not something we could afford to do every evening it is a wonderful place to indulge every once in a while for a romantic afternoon/dinner with someone special... worth every penny. Thank You Emerald (our waitress) and Jolo, we will be returning soon.

Though there were only two other couples at the bar it took over 15 minutes for the servers to get us setup at the bar for a tasting. We even had three people come over and tell us it would be just a moment., which would seem to indicate that everyone knew we were waiting. Two of the young ladies seemed to be fighting right in front of us with one of them a newbie and even rolled her eyes at her supervisor. Slightly awkward for us. The wines were very good and the tasting worthwhile, but for the area I thought $15 for a tasting is a little heavy. The bottles were all around $25 - $30, which was also steep compared to neighboring wineries. It was a fine experience, but nothing I would run back for.

My rating is only a mid low because of confused employees that didnt know how to answer our questions regarding meal service. The staff seemed unsure and at there time the manger was not available for our questions. Instead we choose to order some wine and enjoy the facilities. Those property is beautiful and very relaxing. The employee who served us bar side was pleasant but didnt chat with us other than ask which wine we wanted then offered no suggestion and stared at us. I hold nothing against this place. We all have those kinds of days. I definately will be back to try the food and enjoy the ambiance again!

We visited from San Francisco and took our sweet elderly parents for the afternoon. Setting is beautiful, wine is okay. Service was horrendous. It took an hour to get a glass of wine after placing the order, food arrived about 30 minutes later, and order was incorrect. When I complimented the owner on the vineyard setting and politely provided feedback on the service, he exploded - screaming (literally) at me at the top of his lungs in the middle of the packed tasting room. If you go, beware the slightly unhinged owner!

The facility is nice, pretty views of Pilot Mountain. The meal in the restaurant was good. Portions of appetizers was small. $15 for tasting is too much. Im only into non-dry wines and asked about reduced price for smaller tasting. They said no. Ive been to 28 wineries in the area and this is only place using more than one glass. Perhaps the tasting price could be dropped to align with other wineries if only used one glass. That would also save time and money for the facility - would also save lots of hot water

We had an excellent tasting from Emerald; she was very knowledgeable about JOLOs wine. They also had very good tasting cards which detailed each wine. They used the appropriate glass for each wine that we tasted, and we really liked the wines at JOLO. The winery, vineyard, and tasting room were all very beautiful, and very well done. We had two premium tastings which included Riedel glasses and we purchased a bottle of wine and our total cost was $63.

WONDERFUL! COME SAY OPAAAA with this beautiful Greek-Family owned winery that sits right under Pilot Mountain. The view!!! Simply the BEST WINE AROUND. Sit back, enjoy the view, food, and wine! Worth the trip! Dont forget to join the wine club. Look for their wines at Total Wine in the Triad Area. Chef made food: apps and sit down meals. Eat inside or dine outdoors. The

This is the third time we have been to visit and each time has been an amazing experience. Definitely one of the best quality French/dry style wine producers I have come across in NC, especially considering they have been around for only a couple of years. Also, the food is top notch and makes it worth going just for that reason alone.

Unbelievable wine at great prices. Jolo is really a hidden treasure. Fantastic food and the best service and attention. Everytime we visit the owners are there providing insight and conversation on their wines. Join the Wine Club, great incentives and special members only events and prices.

The wine tasting was disappointing because some of the wine we tried, and liked, could not be purchased without joining their wine club. But you are told that until AFTER the tasting. So if you go there ask first which wines are available without having to to sign up for the wine club.

Late afternoon drive was definitely worth the trip, the vineyard scenery is breathtaking then we spent a very enjoyable time with the owner in the tasting room learning about their wines while enjoying their amazing taste. Will absolutely make another trip to NC to visit.

Very disappointed with service, The women who seemed like-manager acted like it was an inconvience Then it appeared she was suppose to take our order forgot. Then she explained nothing during our wine tasting and rushed us through. Customer service training needed!!!
