I went here on my birthday yesterday and was very disappointed in the service. I had received Harkins VIP passes early for a present and my wife and I went to use them. We had read on the back that for an additional fee it was possible to upgrade to a 3D movie. We had planned our day around seeing TRON in 3D at 1:45PM. Well when we got there the lady at the window told us that we cant upgrade for a 3D showing. I told her to read the back and she did and got the manager. He looked at it and didnt even really give it more than 2 seconds before he said no. The line was starting to pile up so we were forced to fork out $20 bucks to go see the movie. When I got in I asked to speak to the manager again and showed him on the card the verbiage I was referring to. He read it and said that only the Harkins at Tempe market place allows the upgrade "he thinks". He couldnt give me a straight answer and also picked up the phone while I was talking to him. I think it is very rude to just pick up a phone when someone is in person right in front of you. Phone does not come first in my book. Anyway TRON was awesome but the service was horrible and I will never go back to that Harkins. This place needs to get its act together and find out what the verbiage means on back of the pre-purchased movie ticket. I mean, this place acts like the ticket was a free gift from them and holds no value, didnt someone pay for that ticket?

As someone who is a transplant from another state and did not have Harkins Theatres anywhere, but instead other awful theatre chains... Harkins is simply wonderful. Harkins, although not perfect, goes out of the way to please the crowds of people that come in week in and week out. Always cleaned and well-maintained. Good popcorn too which can be difficult to say when produced in high amounts, but love their popcorn. Thank you Harkins for putting the customer first (not always easy) and making movies enjoyable to view and attend. >>My only issue with Harkins is to turn **up the brightness levels** on your screens! Serious. They are dark. Maybe even just 5% more? Difficult to pick any kind of detail if a scene is at night or inside with low-light. I mean it actually looks unnatural. I know I am not the only one with this complaint as I have heard others say the exact same thing. Please, dont let movies become an eye-sore when the movie industry, and its studios, have become a head-ache as of late. Keep up the good work, Harkins.

Ill admit it: Ive been spoiled by the reserved seating of other theaters. If youre going on the spur of the moment, it may be hard to find seats for the next show time at those theaters, though, and I suspect its why a lot of people keep going to Harkins. The seats are not terrible comfort-wise, but obviously dont recline and theyre still living in the days of people awkwardly climbing over you in cramped aisles that dont afford much leg room. Concessions are similarly meh: the $1.00 drinks are a nice perk if youve purchased a loyalty cup, but somehow we keep getting popcorn with butter on it despite requesting no butter; Im guessing because the machines are low and it would otherwise be inedibly stale. Its still a decent movie-going experience, though: the theaters are clean, projection is done well and I dont notice any sound bleed-through from movies in adjoining rooms as can often be a problem in other establishments.

I love coming to this movie theatre but the customer service here is absolutely awful. I lost my debit card and the last time I used it was last night at the movies. I called and one of the employees named Mckenzie answered the phone. I explained to her my situation and she said she will ask her manager of they found anything in the lost and found that matched the description of my debit card. She put me on hold and a few minutes later the phone called ended. I thought it was bad connection so I called back and Mckenzie answered again. I told her that we had just talked a few minutes before and she sounded annoyed. She told me shell ask her manager again but shell put me on hold in the meantime. To my surprise, the phone call ended AGAIN. Very disappointed.

My wife and I go to movies most weekends, and this is by far our favorite theater. We find the customer service always first rate. They will let you bend their rules - Free popcorn refill, this visit only? When we brought in a bag from a previous visit, there was no fuss. We often have special requests for the amount of ice in our drinks, or dont want to have to wear the loyalty t-shirt to get the free popcorn - no problem. And if there are family-friendly or religious-themed movies that only a few theaters pick up, Harkins Superstition Springs will show them - in fact sometimes theyre the only theater in the valley showing a movie like this. That makes us want to patronize them even more.

Harkins is pretty much the defacto standard that all other movie theaters are gauged against. This Harkins has always been enjoyable for me. Good seats, good audio, lighting, screens, etc. The unfortunate thing is that with popularity comes crowds. You definitely need to get there early (sometimes a whole hour early depending on the movie) in order to get good seating. A good alternative theater to visit that is just as good for the seating, audio, and other factors, but is much better in the crowd department is the Gateway 12 IMAX Theater. They are always less crowded than Harkins.

I have been to many movie theaters and Superstition Springs 25 is my all time favorite. Any time I had a bummed experience, they always taken the time to make it right and beyond. Also since I am hard of hearing, this theater has closed captions for me. I love movies. Harkins is the BEST! I strongly recommend to everyone (movie lovers already know this) that like going to movies to buy the refillable cup ($1.50 a cup) and movie shirt (free popcorn), makes it around $20 for a date night :) Another plus, its a cool place to be in the summer.

I love that they always have the new movies and lots of showings. They keep up with cleanliness every where. The people must be treated well because they are always nice and helpful. If you have a physical problem and have trouble carrying your drink or popcorn they will happily do it for you. Lots of handicap parking. Their popcorn is always tasty and fresh. They have great deals too. They would be perfect if they would start converting the seats to lounge chairs, like all their competitions. Love you Harkins!

usually we have good service and good food, movies, but on this visit 3/30/16 we got a small child size popcorn/drink combo.. the bottom of the box was all wet, not oily, but water type wet and it ruined the popcorn... after the movie, I went to the concessions and told a worker, no response, no caring, no offer to replace my popcorn (which I threw out right after the movie) .. bad customer service in your snack bar.. cant the workers replace popcorn that was soggy ??? cant they be trained to handle complains?!
