I have been going to this theater for years and have always been happy about it, but my last two experiences with their "discount Tuesdays" has left me angry. Both times the a/c did not seem to be working even though they said it was, but the second time was the worst. It had to be over 85 degrees in the theater and kept climbing. When I went to refill my drink, I could not find a single employee. After trying to brave the heat, I left the theater again when my 8 year old started to complain he was hot. This time I did find a few employees lounging around, that seemed put off by me. After waiting 10 minutes for the manager to join us, and missing the last fight scene of Spiderman, the manager tried to explain to me that its "warm" because their are so many people in the theater. Ive been to tons of sold out movies there before and have never had that experience, twice in a row and on tuesdays. After he did not request a solution, I demanded a refund. Get your act together Cinemark and I will happily give you more stars, but if you cant afford "discount Tuesday" with the same level of amenities and customer service, than dont do it at all!

My family and I are big movie buffs. We watch movies every weekend, usually watching shows the weekend they come out, and have been to all the local theaters hundreds of times over the years. In the Provo/Orem area this is one of the best theaters available. With 16 screens they carry all sorts of crazy show times & you can show up to watch an older movie usually ten minutes before and get ok seats that are comfortable, but still needing to show up early for the highly anticipated new releases. And when you do show up early, the lines arent confusing at all. Despite having a nice customer service base, there are several things I dislike about this theater. There are often babies in the audience, and lots of noisy children & people always clap at the end of the show. They have four large screens, 13 14 15 and 16, but non of them are digital. And the sound may sometimes cut out during the show, which never makes for good viewing. If you are in south Provo, watch your movies here. But if you have the time, head to the Cinemark University Theater instead.

Wow! The manager of this place is so condescending. We just moved to the South part of Utah County and this was the closest large theater. We were treated so rudely. We promise to never step foot in that theater again. We asked for our money back and left. So disappointed because we have had positive experiences with other Cinemark theaters. But I do like Megaplex better. They obviously do a much better job in the hiring process. We will simply drive a bit further to avoid this theater at all costs. Told our oldest daughter who is a student in the area about the experience and found out she had a similar experience not with the manager but with the staff. Sounds like a top down management and training problem. Our advice is to find another theater. Though I would guess you could probably pick any seat so maybe that is a plus if you can ignore the staff.

NO REFILLS on a $6 drink = go somewhere else. We have come to quite a few movies here this year but we will probably not go back. I would not recommend it! Its generally dirty, there are often treats and popcorn under your seat when you get there. They dont appreciate their customers much at all. They basically offer you no value. NO refills on anything even when you buy the largest. They wouldnt even fill my cup with water. their loyalty program is a joke. Its no wonder Megaplex is sucking all the business away. I would recommend finding a different venue to see your movies at! Also there is a center line on most of their screens. Not sure whether its their projectors being out of date or the screens but there is a noticeable 5 foot section that is of different brightness that distracts from the movie.

The movie was great but showing up on a opening night to watch the new Spider-Man when the movie was sold out we got our tickets 5 hours ahead of time but when watching the movie (full of people) it got so warm in there and unbearably hot that a lot of customers complained to turn on the air management was rude and said the air was on knowing that it was 83 degrees at 1:30 in the morning outside it felt like the heater was on and not the air it was uncomfortable the food was expensive like always and I will never go back because the rudeness management showed my family and I. This was my sons 18th birthday party and I am not happy that I was not comfortable in the theater and spent 10.50 on a ticket for 3 people to deal with this mistreatment and rudeness

Businesses think that newly remodeled facilities, new seats, new sound systems, bigger popcorn, general managers, etc draw customers back. I contend that is those often forgotten employees who earn not much more than minimum, cleaning auditoriums, sweeping, manning snack bar, etc who rise to the occasion when customers need help. They make the difference. My wallet slipped out of my pocket during a matinee, and when I called, I was told an usher had found it and turned it in, including the cash in it. When I picked it up, I was told they are not allowed to accept a reward for their kindness and honesty. Now I feel loyal to this Cinemark. All because of the under-paid and often under-appreciated employees. Thanks guys!

Let me be clear about my 3 star rating right from the start.... No place that inflates the price of popcorn, candy and Coke by 5000% (giver or take a 1000%) will ever get higher than a 3 start rating from me. It is robbery. That being said, the place is always clean, the staff is friendly and with 16 theaters, always something that you want to see is playing. Its usually not really crowded, unless youre seeing some big premier. Being able to buy reserved seating is always a plus. Eliminates the need to wait in lines and you can still get a good seat. You can purchase online, at the theater or using the app. Get the app and use it. Matinee / senor tickets are a decent price.

Nice place to watch a movie, if you can ever get in there. Buy a ticket long before you plan to go, since once you get there it will be a half hour before you get to the front. Last time I went during the half-hour rush they had only one of two ticket booths open (why?) and the lines (on a Tuesday) were way down the hall. Seems the theater doesnt have to worry about efficiency, they still sell tickets no matter what. People in line are mostly so slow and brainless they arent even sure what movie they are going to, and seldom have means of payment in hand ready to go. Slow, slow, slow. Sometimes it seems this whole town is FILLED with dull-witted, slow-minded people.

We had a problem with the springville library and how they handled their seating when they rented out the theatre for the new hunger games movie. We talked to the General Manager about it. I understood that it wasnt his fault but being frustrated I wanted to let him know how they were handling their guests. He went above and beyond for us. He got us good seats in the next showing at no cost. He made us feel like he wanted all of his customer happy and that is what customer service is all about. Great to work with and a friendly staff.
