I WOLD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS OR MINUS 5 STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE. I WAS ON A DATE LAST NIGHT WE GOT TO THE PLASE 9:18p THATS THE TIME PRINTED ON OUR TICKETS STUBS. I WAS ABOUT TO SEAT DOWN WHEN THIS RENT-A-COP COMES IN TO THE ROOM AND NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION THAT HE JUST SEEN US WALK IN TO THE PLACE AND TELLS US "YOU DINT PAY FOR THIS MOVIE" MY DATE AND I LOOKED AT EACHOTHER AND THOUGHT HE WAS JOKING BUT HE KEPT INSISTENG SO I GOT UP WALKED DOWN FROM THE TOP ROW TO SHOW HIM OUR TIKETS, THEN A SECOND RENT-A-COP CAME IN BY THIS TIME FIRST GUY ALREADY HAD OUR TICKETS IN HIS HAND INSISTING THAT WE DINT PAY TO WATCH THIS MOVIE(WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES) THEN SECOND RENT-A-COP TAKES THE TIKETS AND HE SAID "THIS TIKETS ARE FOR THE 9:18p SHOWING NOT FOR THIS TIME AND WE JUST SEEN YOU WALK OUT ANOTHER MOVIE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF BULDING" IT WAS ONLY 9:27p AT THE TIME SO THIS WENT ON FOR ABOUT 4 MINUTES MORE, I WAS FURYOUS STANDING THERE LOOKING LIKE AND IDIOT HAVING A CONVERSATION THAT WAS ONLY A WAIST OF TIME WITH 2 GUYS THAT DINT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. FINALY AFTER 5 MINUTES PAST OF THIS POINTLESS CONVERSATION SECOND RENT-A-COP GOT A LITTLE SMART AND SAID "OH YOUR RIGHT ITS FOR THIS MOVIE" GAVE ME MY TICKETS BACK AND WALKED AWAY. I WANTED TO ASK FOR MY MONEY BACK AND GO, BUT I WAS HAVING A GREAT NIGHT WITH MY DATE SO I KEPT MY COOL FOR SAKE OF NOT RUANING THE NIGHT SO I DECIDED TO STAY. YEA I COULD HAVE TALKED TO THE MANAGER BUT THE SHORT GUY WEARING A I GOT IT AT ROSS SUIT THAT MAYBE MAKES $15 HOUR ALREADY LOOKED AT MY BEAUTIFUL DATE AND I LIKE OH WOW A AFRICAN AMERICAN AND A LATINO DATING THIS IS AMERICA FOR CRYING OUTLOUD TYPE OF LOOK SO I AVOIDED THAT COVERSATION. SO NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE BECAUSE OF MY EXPERIENCE. AND TO ADD MAYBE YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE DIRECTING YOU WHERE TO GO LIKE A NORMAL MOVIE THEATER JUST AN IDEA MAYBE ASKING TO MUCH RIGHT. NEVER GOING BACK. OH YEA THE 9:18p WAS PRINTED ON THE TICKETS AS TIME OF PURCHASE AND WAS THE TIME WE WALKED IN. 20 MINUTE BEFORE THAT WE WERE HAVING DINNER 15 MINUTES AWAY.

For those who lived in Houston for a long time, there has always been a movie theater at West Oaks Mall. The best one was the Alamo Drafthouse before it was shut down to make room for a bigger chain of Edwards to be located here at the West Oaks Mall. I am a loyal customer to the Alamo Drafthouse but the closest one is now all the way in Katy. I finally caved in and gave this theater a chance for a Sunday afternoon showing. I was surprised by the price and how clean the place is still. First, the price of the regular Sunday ticket is comparable to majority of the theaters in the area. Like majority of the newer movie theaters now days, they have build a hallway where it will be the bottleneck for the usher to take your ticket stub and inform you which way is to your theater. The lobby is very spacious and clean and the service at the concession stand is very quick. Now just like the name of the theater, it is all stadium seats. Since this place is still fairly new, the place is pretty clean as the floor is not stick nor are there any stains on the chair. For a long time movie goer, we all know the slow deterioration of a theater due to the time and sometimes the customers as well. I had a very good experience here and I will make a note on coming here during the day time for fair price ticket and theater enjoyment.

This has been my favorite theater since it opened. It is never crowded. But the reason I love this place is that the sound and picture quality has always been top-notch. Im a cinephile and it frustrates me immensely when movies are even slightly out of focus (or skewed focus, where the top is in focus, but the bottom is not) or the sound is too quiet or painfully loud. This happens surprisingly often in many other popular theaters in town. The projection quality here has been consistently pristine: clear, in focus, bright. Sound is set at just the right volume level, loud enough to be immersive, but not so loud as to be annoying or painful. Whoever they have maintaining the equipment is doing an excellent job! Yes, it tends to be on the colder side, so I always bring a light jacket. (But I used to work in a movie theater and there is reason it feels cooler in the theaters.) And as many others have noted, this place is still very clean and free of that stale, musty smell that can develop over time in movie theaters. Just a great place to watch a movie on the big screen! Even though for their sake, I do hope they get more patronage for their business, selfishly I hope the crowds stay away because its mine, all mine!

Always clean and comfortable when I visit. I hit up the matinee shows on the weekends or the early to mid-afternoon shows on weekdays and there are never any crowds. Theaters are well-kept stadium seating, without sticky floors or gross fabric on the chairs, and there are always seats available at shows that they will sell you a ticket for, even on opening weekend for major flicks. Staff is neither excited nor beat-down; helpful but not friendly. Like all theaters, some employees are customer-oriented, some just exist until their shift is over. Managers follow the same vein, but are also seen helping to clean up spills or man the concessions stands when there is a rush just before a show. Concessions are standard fare - overpriced for what you get, but the popcorn buckets are always heaping and Ive never been refused a refill on my soda (once or twice theyve even filled it for me on my way out). Box candy and the nachos/hotdogs/warm stuff is available as well, and is cooked/microwaved on order. Overall, this is a theater. It is not outstanding or amazing, but its not horrifying or uncomfortably unsanitary.

This has been my theater for a long time. Yeah, its never really crowded, its clean, it has its perks, but there is one thing that has turned me completely off about this place. Last night, after watching Anabelle: Creation with my friends, I walked out to my car to see that it was broken into. The thieves ransacked the car, but I had nothing of value in it. We called for security and asked them if they had cameras. He told me that they had cameras, but it didnt reach out to the parking lot. I was not the only victim apparently as another lady had her truck broken into as well. All the security guard did was write my information down. We went to the police station to file a report. Also, a man was shot in the face in the same parking lot about 1-2 weeks ago. What Im trying to say is, after knowing about these things, I wouldnt take my family here for another movie. Anything can happen while you are sitting inside that theater. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone else that goes here for movies.
