When I first saw the reviews here I thought they were probably a little bit harsh and over reactions. After recently visiting I can confirm that most of these other reviews are not over blown. On a positive note, the theaters are generally clean. I think thats the only positive thing I can say. My first beef - this is a cash-only establishment. Really? Its 2016 and I cant use a credit card here? A $2 ATM fee? Wow.....coming from a bigger city, prices arent ridiculous, but they seem high for a cash only place. Its $8.00 for a matinee and $10.00 for the evening shows. Food prices are way too expensive, per normal. A medium popcorn medium is $3.50 while the medium drink is $4.25. Lets just say that the filmed announcements made prior to the movie (no feet on seats in front of you, no texting, etc.) are singlehandedly the worst Ive seen anywhere.... Overall, Im pretty disappointed with this place and I dont plan on being back very soon....

This is the premiere theater in Yakima. It has only been around since 2004 and it has 3D capability (usually one to three screens are actively showing something). I watched "AVATAR" at this cinema, along with "Toy Story" (in 3D) this past Summer, and the exhibition was perfectly fine. At least here, the projectionist seems to know what they are doing, as it has not been my experience to indulge out of focus or poor presentations of the first run films that I have viewed here.With 3D matinees running only $8 (currently for an adult) you can begin to see the value. Yes, they do recycle those glasses, so I would recommend bringing your own alcohol wipes with you! This theater is as clean as one would expect and puts forth a good impression for its patrons. I would definitely recommend this theater!

Up until last night The Majestic was my favorite theater in Yakima. We went to see the 9:15 showing of The Scortch Trials and they had a preview of Deadpool show. I was mortified at what was shown. Names people and the F word at least 4 times among other swear words. The Scortch Trials is a PG-13 movie and we had thought about taking our young niece and nephew. Thank goodness we didnt. I have lived in Yakima my entire life and have never experienced this. I dont go to rated R movies and I sure dont want to have to Seco d guess taking my kids or family to a movie because of what we may encounter in the previews. Very Dissapointed...

Es buen lugar para pasar una tarde en familia. Las salas son comodas, el estacionamiento amplio, vende comida rapida y bebidas. El sonido de las salas es excelente y la proyección debe ser alta definición porque se ve muy bien. Pienso que podrian renovar un poco la imagen del lugar.

BRING CASH WITH YOU!! Plus the two cash machines they had were OUT OF ORDER!! You think that since its the day after Thanksgiving and a lot of families go to see movies they would be prepared. You cant by treats with card. Not sure about tickets since we bought ours online. Very immature theater. Movie started and our rings were ringing for the rest of the day since the volume was cranked all the way up. Not bad for me, but my kids started screaming it hurt their ears so bad! If you have another option for movie theater, go somewhere else!!

Ive been to theatres all over the world... honestly... this theatre is on par with what Ive seen in the third world. The seating and sound is terrible for the ticket price. There were people texting and talking the entire film with no usher controlling it. I even requested that they control their bustling crowd of 20 other movie goers.... and nothing. The picture was slightly out of focus and you could hear bleed through sound from the next screens. The floor was sticky and the room smelt of slight vomit and alcohol.

One of our kids got separated from us in the crowed and when we asked for help finding him staff said theres nothing they can do and made rude comments. If that wasnt bad enough they followed us around trying to keep us from calling out his name. This was the only theatre we went to,never again. They need to inform there staff about code Adam. I was 3 seconds away from calling the cops.

Probably the best of the family theaters in the Mercy family. That is saying it isnt horrible, but it really isnt that special, either. Prices are movie theater high, but not out of line for what it is. Go if you want to see something on the screen. Just dont expect anything above average.

Now that the minimum wage went up it costs $10.75 to go see a movie after 6pm! Thats outrageous! We need a corporate owned movie theater that doesnt adjust the price because of minimum wage and shut this locally owned business down! Quit robbing the people of their money to see a movie!

Why do movies cost so much in Yakima? This is a small town and the theaters are not that great. Coming from a larger midwest town where movies were a lot less and the theaters were a lot nicer with better staff. What is up?

Decent theater. Staff is friendly. Expect to spend $100 for four people including snacks. Staff is extremely under paid. Snack rates are much higher than most theaters I have been to.
