Update - The Management response is correct below. They have made updates and the situation has improved. As such, I updated my rating to 4 stars I once worked in the roughly 1990-1993 time frame. The bathroom fixtures are still the same and in poor shape. Some do not work. The seats are still the same and in a word gross. The cinema floors dont seem cleaned very well. Laminate on the concession stand is chipped and falling off. Its a shame to see the old girl be so neglected. I saw a similar faucet at Lowes for about $40. Laminate is one of the cheapest form of counter covering. Spend a few bucks and make it look halfway decent. The picture and sound quality is good though. So once the lights are off, just ignore the sticky floor and smells if you dont care so much.

As a frequent movie goer to Chagrin Cinemas I look forward to the day management will deal with the non-stop talking at full volume by many attendees. When I have asked for an intervention, the staff will stand in the aisle but they do not stop the problem. Cedar Lee has a more forceful screen message that is needed at Chagrin Cinema. In Arizona, management actually addresses the audience and escorts offenders out of the theater. .

If youre looking for the experience of movies in 1982, then youve found the right place. This cinema is old and in a serious need of a refit. No stadium seating, no online ordering, no THX or IMAX, sticky floors and messy bathrooms. The only reason why you got there is if you live in the surrounding areas and you dont want to drive out to the city to deal with the numbskulls there.

I have been going to the Chagrin Cinema ever since I was a kid and it is great. It doesnt have IMAX or fancy seats, but thats one thing that makes it great. When I walk in there its like Im walking into the local barbershop. Everyone there is super nice and I will always remember Chagrin Cinema as my favorite movie theater. It will always have a special place in my heart.

I have been coming to this theater for .... dam going on 11 years. I have always found it clean. Staff has been friendly and helpful. All movie theater food costs a arm and a leg so not thier fault. Picture is good quality aswell is 3D feature. Sound system is spot on. I hope to see it another decade.

Better soft pretzels than other places. Better clientele than most theaters, clean. Its a local company you can support that may treat its employees slightly better than other theaters. Non tiered seating means its hard to see peoples cell phones and easier access for people who dislike stairs.

This cinema is the best you can find in the local area! The theater as a whole is kept very clean. It has amazing Surround Sound and an awesome snack bar. I will definitely come back!

Clean theater good staff but the food is extremely expensive (not much different from any other movie theater though) the seats are not very comfortable.

Nice movie theater....Ive gone here for birthday parties and movies over the years and never had any issues. Good place to go!
