WE HAD TO CALL THE POLICY ( its shocking theyre still in business) - SAVE YOURSELF THE WORST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!. Long history but Ill keep it short. My family and I ( including a 6yrs old kid) went to this horrible - nasty- unprofessional place. The deckhand is a complete JERK- RUDE as hell. He decided to leave us out of the boat trip, decision made for not being 30 minutes before the boat departed. Where we didnt get notify of his appearently instant rule!. He started screaming, telling us to leave for being late when we got there 20 minutes before the boat leave. He didnt care a kid was present, my niece got scared, started crying and shaking. I had to grab her and leave to the car. I called the policy immediately and told my sister that the policy was on his way. She mentioned it to the Jerk and asked him to calmed down and to refund us the money. He said, f**k u!!! Then he went and closed the shop and took off. I have never ever never seen such a pathetic, unprofessional, poor customer service and inhumane treat to others for no reason!. THIS WAS REAL!!! STAY AAAAAWAAYYYY FROM THIS PLACE!!! YOURE WARNED******

Ive never written a one star review before, ever, so this says a lot. Stay away! I dont understand how this shows up as a 4 star place given all the negative reviews. The captain was straight up rude and the mate was slightly less rude, as he liked to remind you constantly that he works for tip before even explaining anything. They also had the gall to fish themselves, of course with a better rod and trailing behind the boat when it was driving, and then tell everyone, see, theres lots of fish (lets be clear, your rods obviously are not as good, you are drifting vs. running your line with the boat on, and using dead bait). Did I mention that despite having made reservations via the phone, the desk person didnt even have it. And on top of that couldnt add so it took literally 10 full minutes to explain why 36+36 = 72 (group rate) and no, we werent short changing him. We just know how to add. I hate leaving bad reviews but I have never ever seen such terrible service across the board. Its shocking they are in business. But it seems, it totally depends on your captain and mate.

DO NOT USE THIS CHARTER!!! Terrible customer service !!! 1st off 1 person out of 15 caught a fish 2ndly Captain as stated in other reviews here was RUDE! 3rd Apparently person working the excursion works on tips which we had no idea about.. Rudely told us we had to tip him (all the cash we had was $10 on us after spending $150 on the fishless trip) he stated "really guys $10 this is unacceptable and this is insulting", I was stunned to say the least. I have been in the hospitality business a long time and in terms of tipping I have no problem but obviously this should be communicated better esp if its a 1st timer going on the trip! 4th bathrooms were absolutely disgusting !! Smelled like a porter potty, not joking. 5th they had all 15 of us fishing on the same side of boat which only created tangled fish lines... Although the price might be inticing LOOK ELSE WHERE FOR YOUR DEEP SEA FISHING .. You get what you pay for I guess... Terrible experience will be telling everyone about this experience for a long time !!!

I dont even knw were to start. First I was on the boat with a young child who does not know how to swim, so I asked for a life jacket. I was advised they dont take them out until it is needed. ( What in the world does that mean, wait for him to be in the ocean then throw him a life jacket). The sea was very rough which thy dont have control over however myself and at least 7 other people were very sick, I couldnt even breath properly. The captain was extremely rude and obviously didnt care. The crew members were young guys who dont have people skills, one employee got into an argument with a guy whos son was sick and obviously didnt knw how to handle it. I was lying on the floor and one employee said "is she dead" if I was he didnt even check to see if i was breathing. They obviously just want the money. (I thk one person caught a fish out of 39). This poor kid was horrified and none of us ever want to go fishing again.. I could go on and on because this was just the tip of the iceberg.....

So, 4-hours and nobody on the boat caught a single fish. Im sure that happens and I realize that the crew cant control the fish, even though I was hoping that there experience would at least get us a few. What the crew can control is the experience and I dont feel that they even tried. The captain nor the deck hand interacted with the customers besides telling us when to drop lines and how deep to go. With no fish action, they could have at least tried to keep the spirits up and hopeful that the next spot would be better. Speaking of spots, every time we moved we pretty much came back to the same spot, just a mile and half off the inlet. Did they not want to waste fuel to try somewhere else??? When it was time to go, all the captain said was "pull em up, were going home".....no comment on the fishing until later when it came time to remind is to tip the crew. People do these fishing trips for the experience, and I feel that Flamingo Fishing needs to work on that.

Today 7/24/15 Me and my family tried this charter. Not really a good day for fish and not a lot of fish caught but I tell you what. If I am in Fort Lauderdale again I will book another trip we these guys. They went out of there way to ensure my wife and girls had fun. The captain was fishing next to my wife and got a good fish on his pole. He gave her the pole with his fish and helped her reel it in. In my book he did not have to do that but that was the only fish she caught. Big Plus. Second there was a drunks on board and was very loud around my girls. The Captain did not know that he was that loud until the boat docked and his help told him. I was not going to complain but the Captain came out to our car to say sorry for the drunk and if he would have known sooner him would have taken care of the problem. Second Plus. These guys are good people working hard so your family have a good time. Book with them.

Flamingo Deep Sea fishing company is top notch. My wife and I travel with a small dog every where we vacation, Flamingo Deep Sea fishing charter was the ONLY fishing charter in Fort Lauderdale FL, that allowed us to bring him on board. The lady at the front counter went above and beyond to help us and make our trip enjoyable. The boat alone is awesome we got to see how the 1% of wealthly people lavish. Joe the mate was very helpful to everyone and friendly everyone loved him. The kids on board our charter got to catch some barracudas which was very exciting for everyone. This was the best deep-sea fishing trip we highly recommend taking if youre with a pet and in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The captain took us to 3 different fishing locations where there was sunken ships and fishing was plentiful. Overall it turned out to be an amazing deep Sea fishing trip.
