We have lots of movie theatres to choose from in San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Arroyo Grande, but The Bay is always our first choice. This is an "old time" experience and we love it. It has a rafter type ceiling with painting above the rafters, paintings on the side of the walls; comfortable seating which slants down toward the screen so viewing is very good no matter where you sit. The theatre is always clean, almost spotless. Im happy too report they have NEW BATHROOMS, replacing the old "skinny body" bathrooms they had before. :-) The ticket price is less than any place in the county. The popcorn is freshly popped and has REAL butter and all snack prices are reasonable. This is a family owned theatre and I, personally, want to thank them for great service and a wonderful experience throughout the 23 years I have lived in SLO county. It doesnt get any better than The Bay Theatre.

Great little local theater. The staff are always friendly and smiling. The $8 ticket price is so cheap these days, even if its a release that is a week or two old. The portions of the food are good and reasonably priced. We go here whenever they are playing a film we are interested in because its rarely crowded and its inexpensive. Great location in Morro bay to walk to a nice dinner afterwards.

Great cozy theater especially for the first showings. They usually show new movies at 7PM on the Thursday of release weekend. Tickets and food are both reasonably priced. The theater is narrow with a really cool wood truss roof exposed but that doesnt take away from the movie viewing experience.

Its amazing that you can still see a movie for under $10 and its not the matinee. They show first run movies in one theater. The concessions are reasonable as well.
